Robin James Hi robin, been watching your channel for a month or so, i just wondered what the mousse was that you used to style it at the beginning, any ideas? I love your channel by the way 🙂
I have to say after typing into google how to create the perfect quiff your video came up & my god this was a true gem! I have to say you make it seem so easy & manageable & definitely going to try out your tips this Friday night. Your videos are so insightful & detailed. Thank you for showing us guys how to create a multiple of different styles
Yeah, girls have no idea how complicated guys' hair is, how easy it is for it to mess up, and yet guys are expected to not make it seem like they spend too much time on their hair.
I like the start and the end where you immediately summarize the content with key points. Keep that up! I've been using that tip about getting rid of flyaways because of your channel. Awesome.
How on earth did you create all this volume?! Daft question! I used to do this as a kid in the late 80s using my mum's hairspray and a tub of green coloured hair gel which smelled like a plant and cost my only 69p from Superdrug. Glad the big hair is back in :-)
Hey Thanks for your amazing video I'm male 16 Does using Hair spray damage my hair or cause baldness ? suggest me the best hair spray and the procedure to use it ?
Great video Robin, it helped me a lot! Could you just share with what's the product you use in 1:43 ? I am new to hairstyling so I can't determine it just by looking at it.
I bought skivikrim classic hairspray after watching your video, however after I use it ( I use a tiny bit) my hair goes from matt to looking shiny and being rock hard and not move able. Do you know any hairsprays that don't completely lock your hair?
Hey Robin :) I have naturally thick hair and I love to have a quiff with a dry/matte look! But my problem is I can't quite get a matte look that is strong enough to stay up all day! Could you suggest any natural look yet strong hairspray products or matte products for sculpting? (I currently use silvkrin hairspray, boots mousse, schwarzkopf got2b matte paste and shock waves matte clay)
this is probably a dumb question but i found this stuff in my closet called hair milk. it looks exactly like pomade is it the same thing just with a different name? ive never used pomade before also
The only problem I have today with hairspray is "how are you supposed to sleep"? Are you supposed to take off the hairspray with a brush or wash your hair before bed (no time for that during the week!)? So sometimes I spray my hair for work, I don't take it off at night and I sleep on my back without moving all night like a freaking mummy (because I have curls)! So annoying! I'm considering no hairspray sometimes but it's complicated because: big forehead that I hide with hair, balding now so I have to use a bit of brown powder with obviously hairspray. Any advice?
Thanks! I just learned everything I need to know to get my hair to look like Steve Harrington’s from Stranger Things! I even found all the products they used on his hair 😂
gosh so much patience and energy is needed to maintain and make long hair look good. i think the amount of work outweighs the benefits for me. lol might just get a short haircut.
Hello , I ve never been into things so as to search about products , I just used some kind of gel , and I just bought a hairspray.. Im sure this is not in the right video to ask , but anyways , what does mousse does to your hair? Also , is it important to have one?How is it used? You just equip it to your hair and then you dry it making the style you want? Thnx
Lol it showed up on my google search results about an other topic but I watched it and it is pretty interesting, I'm going to follow your tips the next time I use spray :)
don't use hairspray to style your hair just use gel or wax then use hairspray you can use water than hairspray If you use hairsprat on its own then it won't stay frozen or hard
If I was you I wouldn't use hairspray like he said but going against what he said don't use a gel or wax with hairspray as they give more relaxed looks which keep the hold on its own
Humpty Maher you should never use only hairspray so yes I would go with a clay or a wax but if u want bigger hair then use clay but only a little bit but if u want more of a slick back then use either more of the clay or just use the wax☺️
ScottDoesUA-cam _ tnx bro ... but another thing i have to ask u.. well if i go to way 1.. then how should i do it.. i mean suppose after taking a shower should i dry my hair first then use clay.. or should i dry my hair with a towel then clay and dry hair.. hope u understand what i wanted to say... plz reply
This has really helped me as in the morning I'll do the hairspray to close and then it looks un natural and I touch it and it really annoys me thanks robin u know ur stuff
After I apply it, it leaves behind white remnants later in the day. Help? Also. What hairspray would you recommend for a sort of natural look. I don't like my hair all shiny and such
can I use hairspray alone with no gel or wax or mousse or is it needed. I want my hair standing up so I'm thinking of getting hairspray can I just use hairspray in morning and will it stay all day? I'm getting aussie instant freeze btw
No it isn't unless you just use loads and loads in one go it's probably best if you stick to actual brands who specialise in hair products instead of 'Poundland maximum hold hairspray'
Robin James you look really good in this look. I don't normally like men wearing their hair this way, but it looks great on you. Your one of the lucky ones
The thing is for me, When i leave the house my hair looks fine. However, when I come back home from a windy day, It looks like crazy. How do i keep this from happening?
Do you have long hair? because i have short hair, like its an medium size of a normal hair lenght, stays in position without any hair sprays what so ever.
Depends what style you´re going for. For a volumized naturel style I recommend using mousse before blowdrying and either a wax or a clay afterworths. If you want to look like a grease ball from the 60s you can work with a pomade. Unless you have a spicky hairstyle you should not use a gell, it just looks terrible otherwise.
I have extremely thick and coarse auburn hair that's cut similar to yours because I like to style it in quiffs and pomps to compliment my beard and stache. People compliment it all the time, but could you recommend hair spray for thick hair so I can keep it natural looking and not have to dump a gallon of hairspray on it? Also I subscribed cuz you rock
I'm so nervous, I'm going to galla today, I want my hair to look perfect. Thank you for the video, perhaps with this my hair won't do an embarrassing failure in the middle of the dance...
Can you do a tutorial on hair straightening with blowdryer a/o with flat straightener. i know your hair is mostly straight but could you give any known tips?
Sad because I use to do pin up wave hairstyles every week and now that I moved to Miami they don’t last more then an hour even with high humidity hair spray
i found my dad watching this , but he is bald
+Berned Yio Literally my favourite comment ever.
Robin James hairspray is the best for me & my thick hair

Berned Yio may be he is a gay!! 🙄🤔

I like the start and the end where you immediately summarize the content with key points. Keep that up! I've been using that tip about getting rid of flyaways because of your channel. Awesome.
thanks robin, I have fine hair just like yourself, glad that there is an option to keep it from flopping! keep up the good work
We have a product that can keep fine hair up. All you need is 3 layers of spray for incredible hold without flaky residue.
Am I the only one that thinks he's absolutely fabulous?

Usman Hassan like how u had to say includes me
It's doesn't apply on everyone
Great video Robin, it helped me a lot! Could you just share with what's the product you use in 1:43 ? I am new to hairstyling so I can't determine it just by looking at it.
How long should you wait till you can touch your hair again?
What was the product you used at the start? The white one before you dried it with a hair dryer? Is it mousse?
Alan Ford Yes
Oh.. I love ur everything "how to" clips!

Clay is fine!
hakunamakaka
Robin James what about paste?
this is probably a dumb question but i found this stuff in my closet called hair milk. it looks exactly like pomade is it the same thing just with a different name? ive never used pomade before also

Thanks! I just learned everything I need to know to get my hair to look like Steve Harrington’s from Stranger Things! I even found all the products they used on his hair 😂

what is that cream that he have use before hair spray can anyone give me answer?
I was wondering the same thing
He used hair mousse and its for building volume when blowdrying.
+Andy Soutcharith After the mousse? What is that cream?
That was Fudge Matt Head, it's a styling paste.
Do you always use product beforehand or if you can get the style you want from blowdrying can you just use hairspray on its own?
don't use hairspray to style your hair just use gel or wax then use hairspray you can use water than hairspray If you use hairsprat on its own then it won't stay frozen or hard
