ACU Belles BTC Round 2 Report:
Onto Round 2, I got up and ready to rock and headed down to Seymours for what I knew would be a much tougher day but I was ready for it! But because of that I was feeling very grateful to have Max with me filling in on minder duties just in case, although I was confident I wouldn’t need him much🙌🏻
Once again, got the bike ready, collected my number and punch card, got scrutineered, got me a bacon and egg butty and chilled out again ready for my start time!
10:41 came around and off I went. I had a small warm up then headed to Section 1. The sections were challenging, tight and technical but really enjoyable nonetheless! I was coping well with my thumb and not letting that hold me back either. I felt so much better in my riding compared to last years round at Seymours, which was great to see that my countless hours have paid off. I had some really strong rides, collecting cleans on some tough sections. And I completed the trial with plenty of time to spare and no more battle wounds.
I waited for others to finish and once results were in, I was both devastated but also very proud of myself to have only been a mere 11 points off 3rd place on the podium! It was a huge confidence boost to me to see the podium is in reach even though the ACU has destroyed my class by removing the 50/50 Championship above us, meaning we have 50/50 level riders back in Inters👎🏻 But thats the cards we’ve been dealt so I’ve just got to let that fire a rocket up my arse and aim to make some magic happen throughout the rest of the season✊🏻💨
