Kristina - I've watched many of your videos over a couple of years. You have out done yourself on this one! Amazing with the colors you used the card looks ethereal & magnifience. WHAT a brilliant tutorial! thank you!
Wowser, i've been crafting for 25 +yrs and never thought to do that, in fact, i have never seen anyone put glitter paste on foil cardstock, you might have just started a new trend...the results are stunning...
I just came from my craft room, having used glitter paste to liven up some metallic card stock that is not shiny at all.Kind of like a pearlessenct. It really came out beautiful. I sat down to watch your video and there you were showing how to do it, but with a much nicer shiny cardstock. I had no idea how I would use it after I did it, but again, here you are showing me how! Thanks so much.
OMGosh what a wonderful idea you had. That card is stunning!!! And it's not just the paste either. It's the gold card stock and the stencil design too. Bringing t bff em all together and balancing them out to be simple yet pleasing to the eye. In my opinion most people use to much paste and it takes away from the beauty that they're trying to achieve. YOU GOT JUST RIGHT! I LOVE IT❤❤❤👏👏👏
This card is AH-MAZING!!! I'm over the moon for the Rose Gold glitter paste and I loved the original graphic card you did sometime ago. Thanks so much for sharing....this stencil is awesome! Thanks for sharing this beauty and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters
Because of your card technique I’m sure the craft stores will be sold out of the foil card stock! 😂 Lucky for me I’ve been hoarding my mostly unused pack! 😝 TFS a fabulous creation!
The card turned out so pretty. Could the scratchiness be coming from something stuck on the label on the back of your palette knife? I always take labels off so that won't happen, but it did look more like it was a problem at the tip of the knife rather than farther back on the blade.
I think it would also have been pretty with gold staples maybe. I took a page out of Carissa Wiley's book and "gilded" some of my Tiny Attacher staples with gold liquid leafing. Really easy, and gives a great, elegant effect. I love how your card came out, Kristina! The graphic stencil works well as a foil (as in "contrast"--pun intended!) for the elegant glitter paste on the shiny cardstock. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
Please Kristina, if you would submit to one of the companies you create for, a request for more layered word/phrase dies, like: get well, thinking of you, or happy anniversary, even with sympathy would be great. I love the shadow effect, but most of the ones available are very limited. I love your writing, so maybe you could influence Simon or Ellen hutsonstamps or someone! 👍😍😀
It may be simple, but it doesn't look it. At first glance, I thought the underneath background looked like leather; turns out to be shiny leather. :-) Thank you.
so at the risk of sounding dumb what is the difference between foil & mirror cardstock? in the video, they look about the same.. would mirror work for this?

Beautiful card! How do you decide which way the card opens?

Extraorinare!!
so at the risk of sounding dumb what is the difference between foil & mirror cardstock? in the video, they look about the same.. would mirror work for this?
Yes, mirror would have a similar effect. Mirror is more shiny and reflective. Foil has a metallic finish.
I just got my foiled paper off the shelf to try this. The card stock is kind of curled :(
Love 😍
Woweeeeeeeee
ooooooh aaahhhhh wowwwwza!! That's all.
😎 🤩👍
