I think this is a solid theory, it could go either way though, Tyr may lead Kratos to perhaps save the other pantheons from a god that resembles the old Kratos hate for gods. I think the last thing Tyr wants is to lead other gods to Kratos, that would basically be the apocalypse for them lol
I responded to someone else and on more thought I think I was just too hype to think this 100% through. The things Tyr say post game aren’t very antagonistic after all. But GOW villains haven’t really been that complex so I’m not convinced Tyr will do this anymore, however he will certainly he a catalyst to other pantheons being involved when he travels again. From them hearing stories most likely, and less likely him deciding kratos to die. But either could easily happen, they write the story after all.
I honestly feel the the whole tyr angle is Mr. Fantastic levels of reaching. If anyone knows the benefits of what kratos has done for the Norse realms it's tyr. Why would someone that knows the importance of Odin and his followers losing power then go to other pantheons gods of war, in order to kill the person that did the right thing in the first place?? And as far as visiting him goes when he mentions Kratos' name that's clearly an homage to him hearing about him when he visited Greece. There's no shade thrown really with anything he says. And Kratos' past isn't exactly a secret. The biggest figures (Freya, Mimir, etc) that have relations with The ALL know his past. So he's not gonna be able to turn his allies against him. And even if he didn't care, you're telling me he gets released from prison, then immediately goes to another pantheons gods to fight the few remaining people he has to the Norse realms? It doesn't make sense
So being the person who made this I obviously push back on it being THAT far of a stretch 😆 maybe a cat stretch after a nap level. Here’s the thing is Tyr coulda woulda shoulda been at Ragnarok. His inability (maybe refusal) to do so has led to much more suffering in the realm. This has one of two paths of thought attached to it. One is yes Kratos has done a good and now there’s nothing left for me but to become a Yoga instructor. The other is he has no real place now, and those failures might lead to resentment. The last cutscene shows kratos being worshiped for doing what he did. Remember the whole Odin saying he’d never felt that kind of love before thing? Well Tyr might just be odd man out now. WAS loved by all realms but no longer. GOW villains have been pretty straight forward pretty much through the series and all it takes is those seeds of doubt that kratos will stop to plant another singular minded not greatly through out villain imo. But I will admit you have me thinking even deeper here; if Tyr isn’t the actual antagonist (which would make me dead wrong here 😆) then he certainly will be the catalyst of the other pantheons getting involved in his future travels doing yoga spreading the info. Thank you for your comment.
