Re-Engage Inactive Members

- Almost every lodge has members that have stopped coming for one reason or another. As Wheaton Lodge 269 continues our journey back to success, we are very intentionally reaching out to our inactive members to get them involved again. Perhaps they just didn't get the experience they wanted when they joined, but nobody bothered to ask what that experience was, so they couldn't provide it. We are on a mission to bring them back, find out what they wanted, and provide it. However, the first step is to start the conversation.
In this video we talk about 3 ideas we will be trying to re-engage with our inactive members. Do you have more ideas? We would love to try them! Post them in the comments and we'll put them to the test. Together we can all learn how to re-engage our memberships and start GROWING the fraternity instead of watching it continue to shrink.
Our NEXT project will be a presentation on Lodge Visits, and we hope you'll take part. It's explained in detail at the end of this video, but ultimately has the potential to help strengthen many lodges if we can start this movement. We will be learning best practices for Masonic Lodges, and sharing them in our Private Blog at www.SuccessfulMasons.com/blog. I hope you'll join us.
Why are we doing this? We are on a journey to rebuild our lodge to the success it once was. Our blog on www.SuccessfulMasons.com will document everything we are implementing as we journey from where we are now as a lodge, to the vibrant, successful lodge we plan to be one year from now. It includes the email automation plans we discussed in our "Preparations While Dark" video, and "Essential Questions to Ask Your Members", and many more to come. We hope you will follow our journey.
This video is brought to you by Wheaton Lodge 269 of Wheaton, IL.

Right now Wheaton Lodge has an opportunity to grow our membership and really improve a lot of the things we’re doing. So we’ve set some goals of where we want to be by our next installation meeting, and we are documenting the process on our blog on www.SuccessfulMasons.com and here on our UA-cam channel so you can see how it's going.
Hopefully we’ll have lots of people exchanging ideas with us and this will be a great learning experience for everyone who follows this journey. We hope you'll join us. Thanks for watching.
Bravo brother. I wish you and your lodge the best success. Stay the course.
Great video brother
Hi brothers, fraternal greetings from Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia. Currently JD in Proserpine Whitsunday Lodge number 254 under United Grand Lodge of Queensland. Also a member of Vigilance number 494 in Brisbane. Love the initiatives you guys are trying. Would love to know your results. I feel my lodge had tried and still trying these initiatives but have not worked too well in getting brothers to re-engage. My personal belief is to move forward and develop a culture with certain standards. New initiates coming will be part of that culture but it takes everyone to be on board. I will post under this post some of the ways you can bring a cultural change of excellence to grow and strengthen your lodge. I might even subscribe as time goes on depending on your content.
Good morning gentleman! I would think making personal appearances on college campus's to enlighten students that they can join.
Thank you Spencer. I agree that not enough people know what it's about or that they can join. Almost all lodges I'm aware of hold a dinner once a month prior to a business meetings that visitors are welcome to visit, but nobody seems to know that. If you're interested Spencer, find out where your closest lodge is and which day they meet, and inquire about stopping by.
Successful Masons Good morning I actually reached out to my local lodge and plan on joining.
Thanks great to hear Spencer. You'll be glad you did, it's very fulfilling to see just how many ways there are to help out people in need, and Masonry opens those doors while building your own character at the same time. We will be sharing many of those stories here on this channel soon, so I hope you subscribe if you aren't already and keep watching to learn more ways to get involved.
I'm not able to post what I wanted to. Is there any email address I can send to please?
Brother Hiles, thanks for posting, and sorry you are having trouble posting the additional info. You can email me directly at paul@successfulmasons.com and I'll get that. We are getting really great ideas from all over the world right now and I'm compiling a list of "Best Practices" inside of our private blog on SuccessfulMasons.com. I've got ideas on how to re-engage and attract new members from across the US, Canada, and London, and if you have more ideas we can add Australia to the list! If we all can start working together and using the same ideas, I think we can unify our efforts and we will ALL improve the quality of our work and grow our lodges. This is turning out to be even more exciting of a project that we initially intended. Please send me that email with your thoughts and we will give them a try. In the meantime, if you can help to support us through that private blog, we would sincerely appreciate it. We currently have 4 subscribers, but we need 30 just to break even on the monthly cost of the website and these videos, so if it's possible, we would greatly appreciate the support. Thanks again for commenting. - Paul Cameron
