You have such a beautiful and peaceful palace!! I love how you keep things Tidy and very clean. The Red and White is amazing. I get overwhelmed when I see you have another video up cause your place again is absolutely a dream home! The robot lawn mower has become a icon.Thank you for sharing as always and hope to see you soon. Ohio🇺🇸
Thank you Cindy. Yeah, I'm a tiny bit damaged of my work, so I like to have everything tidy and clean. Less time spent cleaning or moving stuff around. The Red and White is kinda iconic for the Scandinavian countries. You will see a lot of it over here. Really glad you enjoyed this episode as well. More to come this winter. Thank you. 🔥
Thank you Mads, there was some attention to details in this video also 🤣 But that is all part of the fun, and I really like how I'm in a new try and fail period so I can develop new skills and what work or not. 🙏🏻
Sounds like you have been around. Interesting that you ended up in Hungary. I love to travel, but I would never leave Scandinavia completely (I think) It is just something about the raw nature up here I can't live without.
Thank you for the insight into your winter preparations, Thomas. 😊 As always a great movie. You live in a wonderful enviable area. 👍🏻 Best regards Claudius
Thank you Claudius, glad you enjoyed it. Spending time at the cabin is so inspiring and relaxing. Hope to plan out some great trips for next year this winter.
Hi, just found your videos and I’m binge watching as the place you live in is so beautiful and makes me feel tranquil and wishing I lived in such a place. Ahh well I’m grateful for what I’ve got, still I’d have to pinch myself everyday if I lived in such a gorgeous place. I really enjoy watching the work you are doing around your cabin, looks great. Thank you for these videos, I look forward to more. My husband was in Norway when he was in the Marines and he says it’s one of the most beautiful places he’s been to. I’m going to share these videos with him.
Thank you so much for the nice words. Truly appreciate it. There will be more videos like this as well going forward. So much more projects to be done at the cabin in the upcoming years 🤩
Solo stoves are amazing! Was surprised to see a Texas made product all the way in Norway. Great choice! Just found your channel and could host stop from binge-watching. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place!
I know, they are absolutely the best, and have so much more smarter solutions to stuff than all the competition. To be honest, I did not know it was a Texas product. I thought it was Chinese 🙈😂 Well, even more reason to support it. Cheers 🙌🏻 And thank you so much for the support 🙏🏻
A beautiful landscape, truly breathtaking! The solitude and the sound of nature provide a rebirth for the soul. Your house with its wonderful Nordic architecture is truly beautiful. It inspires me to build my house in the countryside with red walls! A hug from Brazil!
Awesome❤ video Thomas! Really nice you blend this type of content in one channel now🙏👌 It makes thansen complete and round if you know what I mean. Keep them coming my friend🔥
Thank you friend. It is really nice to see that it can be done, and it was a good idea to mix content in the same channel. It is always a gamble, but I think my audience appreciate many of the same things, and niching down to much can be to repetitive. So there will be much more of this going forward as well. And you tent has sparked an interest in me, since there is strict rules about building in the water line. But more of that in an upcoming project. There is also a slight chance I will be included in the planing 🎥😜 Cheers
Hi Thomas. We just left Norway today to get back to France. I realize we were pretty close, renting a cabin in Vikaneset - Eikemo. We were amazed by the non-stop rain this early morning. 😅 If I knew that you were so close, I would enjoyed inviting you for a drink. If you come to south of France (Golfe de Saint-Tropez) you will be welcome for sure. 😊
The weather the last couple of weeks has been really terrible. And today we got over 160 mm of downpour at Vikanes, where the cabin you rented is located. It has been insane amount of water coming down the last 24 hours. Vikanes is just a couple of minutes away from where I have my cabin, so let's make sure to have a range check for that next time I'm down south or you are here. Cheers 🙏🏻
Hah, you got an eye for details I see 👏🏻 I absolutely love it myself. One of the best "influencer" gadgets I got. Peter did a great job with this. Cheers
Love that wood chopping block, genious - I've been breaking my back all my life, till now...Great work on the vid - very easy to watch. I like the Solo fire pit - I have the little "Mesa" - I take it on my bike, sometimes. The only downside to the Solo is no heat out the sides. I use a Bio-lite for truck camps - it has downsides as well. And that's why we keep seeing new and better products to buy. Cheers friend.👍
Hello Shayne, nice to see you back. Thank you so much for the nice comment. Haha, simple stuff like this makes such a huge difference. Chopping block with a little bit of support is also way more stable. The Solo Firepit is game changing. Incredible to see how little can be done to make a genius design even better. I have a small firebox stove for my car, but it is a little bit more hassle to set up. Might look into the Mesa or Mesa XL later. Cheers mate. Appreciate the support and keep on rocking 🙏🏻
Indeed it is, there is just something with the view, the sounds and fresh cold morning air. 10 minutes of this and your day can't be bad after that. Cheers
Thank you Jason, really appreciate that. Nothing gives me more joy then to transform my own feelings trough the camera. I absolutely love to just slow down, enjoy life and all those small moments.

So relaxing! Thank you so much for another cozy video. I would love to watch a 30-50-60mins video of the nature around. Just the views from different angles, the nature, the sounds. Would be amazing 🙏 Have a great week, man, you’re a good one 💪
Thank you mate. Well, making a 50-60 min video is something I can try to do, but I need enough content so I can make it watchable. Only nature video is really hard to keep engaging. But I will see what I can do going forward. Thank you for the comments And motivating me to do even more. Appreciate it.
What an enjoyable episode to watch as we move into fall. I hope all the Viewers can appreciate the time and the huge amount of set ups it took you to make this video. Breath taking views of your homeland. I'm glad to see that you continue to put that GSI coffee mug to work! I'm also glad to see that you invested in a very good Lawn cutting service LOL! Happy Fall 2024 Thomas. Cheers from Canada.
Thank you so much James. It is surprisingly fun and relaxing to make these kind of videos. To just bring the viewer with you on the daily task and show more of how life is over here. The coffee mug is always with me, and the lawnmower is probably one of my biggest surprise this year. I absolutely love it and now I think it is fun to do that kind of work 🤣 Happy fall and soon winter mate. Cheers
the two most dreaded "w" words for me; Work and Winter! The location of your family's cabin is stellar. That Mowrator is awesome. I think the "rock" might just have been part of the mountain. Cabin work is never done, lol. Thanks for another great video.
Hahaha, me too mate... and it seams there is no way to avoid both W up here 🤣🤌🏻 Thank you, I'm really happy with the location myself. It is quite incredible to have this place and I just hope we can preserve it for many generations to come. Haha, I do think the rock is part of the mountain also. No chance to move it, I need that sledge hammer to go on it, Maybe drill some hols in it and fill it with water and let the force of winter do the job for me. Thanks for the love and support mate. Talk again soon. Cheers
I just found your channel... Your episodes are fantastic and this one is wonderful and beautiful.... looking forward to the next one.... thank you so much😊
Thank you so much, I guess the next episode in this series is when the snow arrives and I will probably show more about how I gather food and fish in the winter. Thank you for the support. 🙏🏻
Thank you so much Frank. Always nice to hear people enjoy my content. It is a little bit different from what I normally do, but I find great pleasure in doing this as well 🤌🏻
It is absolutely crazy good. Really love it and it makes the job fun again. Now me and my kid is arguing who is gonna cut the gras, rather than arguing about it.
Great job on the vid TS. Beautiful place. The change is here. Frosty on my side of the world. Mud grips for the mower. Man that's a bad "A" machine. Hydraulic dump for the trimmings. Way cool. You may need a life preserver system if it goes over the edge. Stihl 251. I run several models and have three 250's. Sometimes it's best to lay them on their side oil tank up to slow the leaking. I don't know why they leak so much. If there is a pressure build up in the tank or if there is really no control over it. I use my used motor oil for chain oil. Just keep it clean of debris. That rock, it's an iceberg rock. It only gets bigger the deeper you go. Take a double jack and wear it down a little. Have you seen this setup from Safari on the Tenere 700. The Aussie fellows have been testing them out. 45 L twin tanks. ua-cam.com/video/x-yR74JsQug/v-deo.htmlsi=tNwL4okwrbXVOTpR Priced them USD 3500. The walkway, looks great. Make a bridge across at an accessible location near the top. You will essentially build a bridge level across wide enough for the mower with an easy uphill grade to and and fro. Also it needs to be level to walk across to prevent slips and falls in winter and wet conditions. Having underground coal mining flashbacks watching you stack the wood under the house. That is what height ( 2/3 meter to 1 meter) I worked most of fifty years under the mountains. Fire pit looks like a real champ. All good Nordic ADV friend. You take care, Have a good winter.
Hahaha, yeah that is a really bad ass machine, and I absolutely love working with it. It really is a blessing with all this property to cut and maintain. So much easier to hold it nice all year around. I got the stihl 261, same as we use on the firetrucks here in Norway. A incredible saw with that little extra punch in the engine. I actually forgot to check the oil cap after I cleaned it out, but I make sure to follow up on that in an upcoming video. There will be some wood cutting when winter is over again. Need to stack up on firewood again. Hahaha... yeah that rock is really bugging me. I need to get a sledge hammer and beat the crap out of it. It will not move at all. Not seen it, will take a look at the link now. Thank you. That is actually a really good idea... there is a really good place I can just make a bridge over. That was actually not bad at all. Ha!! Got me thinking. Thank you so much! Have a great winter you as well mate. Talk again soon, love your comments! really appreciate it. Cheers
Just stumbled across your video today.... wonderful scenery... approximately where? Been to Geiranger in May.... really appreciate your content. Wil be back. Greting from Northern Ireland.
Hello, and glad you found my channel. This is a little bit further south from Geiranger. This is a little place north from Bergen on the west coast of Norway.
The magic we are looking for is in the work we are avoiding 🙌🏻
The timber you stacked should be separated to allow for ventilation, otherwise it could twist as it is drying out. Soft pinewood burn very quickly, you would love some Australian hardwood, burn vey slowly and giver a nice taste to food cooked on it.
Yeah, but they are only gonna be used for stairs outside, so I'm not that concerned about warping. But I does not cost anything to do it properly so I might crawl under there tomorrow and correct it. Pinewood here in Norway gives a little taste from the smoke, but not much. Here it is more common to use birch for firewood. Never tried anything outside Norways forrest to make firewood of. Here is a lot to learn.
Wonderful vlog Thomas, if I can ask, the internal stove, what make and model? It has a lovely viewing front door, I have two Jotul stoves but I have a room for another!
Oooh.. that is a really good question. I don't think it is jøtul, we had a look at them when building the cabin, but it is so many years ago (25 years now) So I need to double check when I'm back there.
well, a cabin in Norway can be quite expensive if you don't find a old one in the outskirts of civilization. maintaining this lifestyle is quite easy compared to living in a house in the city. Yes, you lack some comfort and have to travel to get stuff, but still it is way cheaper than in the city.
I think there is nothing broken on your oil leaking chaind saw. My ex Husqvarna 545 leaked and so does my new Stihl 241 also. They are just meant to be used, not kept in a storage...
That is a good point actually. I have never seen a chainsaw not leak some oil. But this was a little bit too much, and it looked like it was coming from the cap. I have inspected the cap or lid for some days now, and it seams to be stopped. So I bet there was some kind of wood pice or something on the O-Ring.

HI. it is a beatiful spot you got there.
Thank you, really enjoy this spot as well. Really something special
Cheers
Great work as always. I love my Solo Stove as well and just tested the very small version which is good for trips as well.
Yeah, I actually had a look at their smaller range as well. I might get a tiny one for my camper van adventures.
the two most dreaded "w" words for me; Work and Winter!
Cheers
Just gorgeous.
Thank you 👏🏻
I just found your channel...
Your episodes are fantastic and this one is wonderful and beautiful....
looking forward to the next one....
thank you so much😊
Thank you so much, I guess the next episode in this series is when the snow arrives and I will probably show more about how I gather food and fish in the winter. Thank you for the support. 🙏🏻
@@tshansen thank YOU😍
Just paradise
Thank you 🙌🏻
Fantastic place! So beautiful view! Which part of Norway is this?
Thank you, this is the west coast of Norway, not far from the city Bergen
Ok I am total relaxed now….. Actually I don’t want do anything now… I am tired from all that !!!
🤣😂🤣Awesome Thomas😎😎
Thank you so much Frank. Always nice to hear people enjoy my content. It is a little bit different from what I normally do, but I find great pleasure in doing this as well 🤌🏻
so beautiful x
Thank you Anne, glad you liked it 🙏🏻
Very nais 😊 beautiful autumn scenery 🤩
Thank you Hestad... when waiting for you to finalize your bike, I had to do some maintenance 🤣 Looks like we will do a trip early next year instead?
@@tshansen yes!!!!
Flott video. Her blir det bra!!
@@tshansen 👍
How trick is that mower! Need one of those, now I just need to convince the Mrs that it's necessary 🤔
It is absolutely crazy good. Really love it and it makes the job fun again. Now me and my kid is arguing who is gonna cut the gras, rather than arguing about it.
I just found your channel. So glad I did!!! I love everything about your home!! What a lovely village.
Do you need an Aunt? Haha
Thank you so much 🙌🏻 Really appreciate that. There is an old saying here in Norway. You can never have enough Aunts 😂 Cheers ☕️
Cheers

Thank you so much 👏🏻
Just stumbled across your video today.... wonderful scenery... approximately where? Been to Geiranger in May.... really appreciate your content. Wil be back. Greting from Northern Ireland.
Hello, and glad you found my channel. This is a little bit further south from Geiranger. This is a little place north from Bergen on the west coast of Norway.
The magic we are looking for is in the work we are avoiding 🙌🏻
@@tshansen …det lille ekstra ja 💥
Your lawnmower has better tires than our van 😂
Haha, maybe there is a way to have spikes in them so I can use it to clear a path when it snows 😂
@@tshansen yeah! And pimp it with some neon lights, spinners and some flames painted on them 🔥🔥
Wonderful vlog Thomas, if I can ask, the internal stove, what make and model? It has a lovely viewing front door, I have two Jotul stoves but I have a room for another!
Oooh.. that is a really good question. I don't think it is jøtul, we had a look at them when building the cabin, but it is so many years ago (25 years now) So I need to double check when I'm back there.
My dream to move to Norway , live in a Cabin and live out off my art. How do you manage to maintain this lifestyle? Cheers from Australia
well, a cabin in Norway can be quite expensive if you don't find a old one in the outskirts of civilization. maintaining this lifestyle is quite easy compared to living in a house in the city. Yes, you lack some comfort and have to travel to get stuff, but still it is way cheaper than in the city.
I meant, do you work from home ? What field do you work at?
@@OscarForcada I work as a firefighter and rescue leader, I also have a side job doing video production, commercials etc.
@@tshansenthat’s great! Thanks for letting me know!
If i climbed under my house with a white woolen jumper, my wife would murder me!
Living on the edge mate, living on the edge 🤣
What fjord is that by your cabin?
Osterfjord is the name of it 🙏🏻
I think there is nothing broken on your oil leaking chaind saw.
So I bet there was some kind of wood pice or something on the O-Ring.
hm . . it seems most of the Norwegian people are a kind of perfectionist? Pls Comment !
We probably are, many of us, I think that is correct 👏🏻
i love brother 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Glad to hear this mate. 🙏🏻
You are not Married?
No, I'm not married 😆
