ZAMZAM, the HYPOCRITES and Du'a of Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه

Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu Anhu reported: The Messsenger of Allah, Salalahu Alayhi wasallam, said, “The best water on the face of the earth is Zamzam water. In it is food for nourishment and healing for illness.”

Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu Anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, a sign between us and the hypocrites is that they do not drink Zamzam water.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Suyuti
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.” [Narrated by Ibn Majah, 3062; this is a hasan hadith]
Alhamdulilah. Subhan’Allah. Scholars and righteous salaf have drunk Zamzam with the intention of fulfilling needs from healing sickness to being financially autonomous and being away from poverty and distress, as well as warding off thirst yaum al-Qiyamah. Alhamdulilah, Allah fulfilled their needs in this dunya and we hope for the akhirah as well, ameen.
DUA OF IBN ABBAS (رضي الله عنه):
Abdullah Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: “…face the qiblah and say: Bismillah. Breathe three times while drinking and drink until you are full”. Then say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ
Translation: Oh Allah! I seek beneficial knowledge, abundant sustenance, and cure from all sicknesses.
O Allah! Grant me beneficial knowledge, an abundant provision, and a healing from every disease.
