I am a resident of West Delhi. Here we get water supply every alternate day and only for 5 hours. Many people here have not installed water meters to save on water bills, due to which water keeps getting wasted. The water is left outside in the open like this, and the house owner does not care because his bill does not come

I stay in suburb Mumbai here we get 1 hour water everyday,we store drinking water,we store the water in buckets which are to be used for washing clothes or bathe,we have a TANKI of maybe 1000litre storage ,we never had issue ,but yeah sometimes we also face water cut issues but we manage ,our society never booked a water tank
@@shyammokariya Delhi is completely dependent on other states , Water comes to West Delhi because it is adjacent to Haryana, There is no water supply in other districts of Delhi, Water is supplied through tankers. And wherever water is supplied in Delhi, the people there are not respected, they do not install meters, they leave the taps open unnecessarily, water is leaking

I am from Delhi and AAP govt provides free water here due to which people misuse water a lot.
My neighbour washes their vehicles ( 4 bikes + 3 cars ) everyday. They wash their road 2-3 times a day just to clean that road...
When water comes dirty they fill their tank and spill water on the road whenever they get clean water..
And I am talking about only one house misusing this FREE water now multiply this with lakhs of houses using the same practice.. this is how AAP is messing up with Delhi.

1. हर घर की छत पे एक ड्रेनेज पाइप होता है वही पाइप से पानी को कलेक्ट करके पास के एक खाली जमीन या तालाब में भरे या फिर उस पानी को वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट में भेजकर डायरेक्ट ग्राउंड वाटर को रिचार्ज करे।
2. इसके अलावा एक और तरीका है की छोटे वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट घर में ही बनाया जाए और पानी को ट्रीट करके हर घर में जो जमीन में बोर होता है उसी बोर से वाटर को जमीन में भेज दिया जाए। बिना वाटर को ट्रीट करे भी अगर बारिश से छत धुलने के बाद उस पानी को बोर के द्वारा जमीन में भेज सकते है।
3. Ro की वेस्ट वाटर की पाइप के पानी का यूज बर्तनों कूलर गाड़ी धोने में यूज किया जाए
4. जैसा कि आपने खुद बताया कि सिंगापुर में पानी वाशबेसिन का पानी फ्लश के लिए यूज किया जाए।
5. ग्लेशियर जिस रेट से पिघल रहे है हम लोग उतना पानी यूज नही कर पा रहे है और पानी को समुद्र में वेस्ट कर रहे है।
5. ग्लेशियर के पानी को इकट्ठा करने के लिए बांध का निर्माण ex- टनकपुर बांध. । और नहरों का निर्माण।
6. नहरों का पानी किसान की जरूरत के बाद उसे तलाब झीलों में भर दे।
7. या फिर फसल की कटाई हो जाने के बाद और दूसरी फसल लगाने से पहले खेत खाली रहते है तो उतने टाइम के लिए पानी को खेत में ही भरने का आदेश Gov दे।
8. और नहरों ,नदियों का पानी को वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट से ट्रीट करके डायरेक्ट ग्राउंड वाटर को रिचार्ज करे

I think as an Indians instead of blaming the government, we have to realise individually that we are also responsible for the consequences happening around. We have to learn from the people of countries like Netherlands, Denmark, Singapore etc. where Dutch people prefer cycling instead of motor vehicles and in Singapore the buildings are so eco-friendly that plants are grown in huge buildings. Conclusion is we have to change mindset and lifestyle which would meet our needs and lead towards sustainability.

Here are some of my thoughts to make a region not lose its water.
Make a city better planned. You can't go wrong with a well-planned city, can you. Better sewage disposals and separate waste deposits. Land dedicated to plant and nurturing trees and city cooling methods.
India's second longest river Yamuna passes thru delhi, Delhi would never face a water crisis only if the govt cleans Yamuna... The Yamuna river is capable of meeting the daily needs of the people. But it has become way too dirty. That's why we can't use that water.
Not only government but also common people should have some civic sense to not through rubbish in yamuna..

I will aim to do the following this year:
--> Plant 3 trees and monitor their growth (with proper research on soil, seed, fertiliser etc., not just so that I can 'feel' better about it);
--> Start rain water harvesting;
--> Be conscious of my personal habits of water usage and wastage, eg, leave water running while brushing teeth, etc.
--> Keep an eye out for water tanker/truck wastage and tweet or bring to the attention of a local authority, as suggested in this video.
--> Urge friends and family to take these steps as well, and send them this video.
If we ALL do this on an individual basis, it will produce a HUGE change.

In our backyard, nearby park, ask the local mali-bhaiya for the soil and seed/plant information, Google tree-plantation activities, NGOs in your city, designated areas to plant trees by local/state government authorities.

Last week, I visited Kedarnath and Badrinath for Do Dham Jaatra. When we went to Kedarnath, we passed through Gauri Kund. When I went down for a dip, I saw people throwing their undergarments, towels, shampoo sachet, food wrappers, fruit peels, bottles, etc. in the river after the dip without hesitation and worst thing was that there was no officials at the spot. I was so disheartened seeing that I couldn't even take a dip in Gauri Kund, I just sprinkled some water on me and my friends.

When a water tanker moves around it has to accelerate and slow down a lot of times and when this happens the water in the tanker is bound to slosh around and this may cause the tanker vehicle not stable and may fall down. To prevent this they will open the lid at top, so when vehicle slows or accelerates the water inside the vehicle which sloshes will spill out of vehicle and this helps in keeping the water tanker stable

Luckily there are no such water shortages in my city but we make sure to recharge underground water every monsoon just by extending pipes from the terrace directly into the borewell and entire water sinks underground.
It just takes a little effort and when you see the quantity of water sinking into the ground you'll feel like you have repaid your dues to mother nature.

2. इसके अलावा एक और तरीका है की छोटे वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट घर में ही बनाया जाए और पानी को ट्रीट करके हर घर में जो जमीन में बोर होता है उसी बोर से वाटर को जमीन में भेज दिया जाए। बिना वाटर को ट्रीट करे भी अगर बारिश से छत धुलने के बाद उस पानी को बोर के द्वारा जमीन में भेज सकते है।
3. Ro की वेस्ट वाटर की पाइप के पानी का यूज बर्तनों कूलर गाड़ी धोने में यूज किया जाए
4. जैसा कि आपने खुद बताया कि सिंगापुर में पानी वाशबेसिन का पानी फ्लश के लिए यूज किया जाए।
5. ग्लेशियर जिस रेट से पिघल रहे है हम लोग उतना पानी यूज नही कर पा रहे है और पानी को समुद्र में वेस्ट कर रहे है।
5. ग्लेशियर के पानी को इकट्ठा करने के लिए बांध का निर्माण ex- टनकपुर बांध. । और नहरों का निर्माण।
6. नहरों का पानी किसान की जरूरत के बाद उसे तलाब झीलों में भर दे।
7. या फिर फसल की कटाई हो जाने के बाद और दूसरी फसल लगाने से पहले खेत खाली रहते है तो उतने टाइम के लिए पानी को खेत में ही भरने का आदेश Gov दे।
8. और नहरों ,नदियों का पानी को वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट से ट्रीट करके डायरेक्ट ग्राउंड वाटर को रिचार्ज करे
