We believe you should have access to world-class instruction. We know how hard it is to find the right experts, which is why we have used our 147 years of experience in the leather industry to bring the masters together in a new video platform www.IllumAteli...

Great job guys. Illuminating.
Lol😂
George and Eric, thanks for another great video. I always learn from you guys.
Thank you David!
I always learn something from your podcasts George! Thanks for generating some serious excitement into this ole timer
This is awesome! I had no idea there was a holster makers podcast. I’ve been building for about 3 years now
very technical to me anyways, had to watch this 3 times to soak up the info..... Awesome information! Learned a lot. When is Eric's instruction videos coming out on Illum Atelier for the IWB holster? or are they posted somewhere else? Many thanks to you all....
i think they have at least one up now
Is there any advantage to horse hide, over cow hide? Or kevlar thread? The original "Summer Special" holsters were kinda soft, weren't they? Interesting....
Horse hide is a fantastic solution for holsters, it does come with some of its own challenges. This is a very firm hide, we take 24 hours to case the leather for molding. The Original Summer special was a hardened leather holster. If you find one today that is 30 plus years old, it may very well be a little on the soft side
@@EDCLeather what about kevlar thread? Ive heard it degrades from sun light...
We have some, it is pretty abrasive on the machine
