The keto ads on this vide had me cracking up! On another note, you've changed your life so much! It's amazing!
Oh jeeeez...I hate those ads!
especially that one guy who says "pizza or salad?, guess what am having for dinner tonight"...soooo annoying
@@PotatoWisdom Ikr?! I hate seeing ads before, during and after videos, so I've got Premium. 👍😎

I got the Kachava ad 🙃
I am so lost in an addiction to junk food right now. I'm starting potato reset this week.
How are you doing now? I am so addicted right now, too.
Breath of fresh air you are! Results speak for themselves-lifestyle change or what!🇨🇦Thanks for your continued commitment
Yay! So good to see you again! Love your videos. I’m sitting in a waiting room while my husband has a last minute procedure. Thinking about the potatoes I took out of the Instant Pot just before I left home, they’re on the counter cooling. I am soooooooo hungry and would kill for a potato
Love your new setup!
Great information! I just found you, but I went on diet like this about 3 years ago. Still maintaining my weight now. I'll save this video to share when asked about what I did. You explain it all much better!
Nice seeing you back 🌺
Thanks for all the info and the encouragement!
Hi, you look great!!! I plan on starting the potato reset. I love all the info you have in your videos.
Thank you Helen and all the best on your reset!
Ok!! Just ordered the book! Need the potato crunch!!
Great video Jeannine!!!!! Lol, love the snippets at the end!!!!🌻
Hahah I knew you would like the little bloopers lol
I am looking forward to doing the reset. I ordered the book this morning from Amazon because I prefer a hard copy.
But yay potatoes 🥔!
I love your Potato Reset book ❤️ I’ve just started my weight loss journey about a month ago. Lost track for about 2 weeks and refocusing as of today. I’ll be trying out all of your recipes 😁 can’t wait!
Starting weight - 101.1kg (222.8 pounds)
Current weight - 98kg (216 pounds)
Goal weight- 70kg (154 pounds)
WISH ME LUCK!!! 😁
Good luck! I started at 217 pounds which is your current weight and I am now 165 pounds which is I think, 75 Kg? I have a few more to go, but if I did that, then I know you can too!!!! It took a looooong time for me. Be patient!!
Flattlander Montgomery that’s Amazing!! Congratulations! I know I have to be patient and consistent. I struggle with consistency a little but I won’t give up. I’m giving myself 6-8 months.. I’ll be updating my weight every month so keeps me accountable 😁
Good luck! It takes a few days sometimes to find your groove, then it's mostly smooth sailing! When in doubt, eat a potato!
So 1 year later... where you at? Or we back to take-outs? lol
Just ordered! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌷
Congrats on your success in diet and congrats on completing your book! (I'm checking it out on Amazon rt now) And thanks especially for just sharing your journey and testimony on the potato diet. I had BIG success with it active duty military a Long time ago, about a month of plain microwaved potatoes -- sometimes i added salt -- anyway, peeled off wgt easily down to 152 lbs (I'm 5' 9"). I'm revisiting now and just needing support and so your testimony is so helpful ... thank you.
This was very informative and entertaining :) you’re funny! Thank you for sharing this
Salsa is the Magic condiment as we all know! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
mmmm yes it's great with potato cheeze sauce haha
Oooohhh, especially the restaurant style salsa. 😋
Great to see you
Your studio is so cute!!
Thank you, it's a wee bit cramped but I'm grateful to have it!
Better than Before book
Thks for sharing.
Love your channel. Very down to earth. Keeping it real. See you on IG!
You look awesome!!!
I’ve been totally off the track for the past couple of months. I have your book. Hoping to start again October 1.
When these type of things pop up then their channel goes dark for a year it really makes you curious how they are doing now.
I have been dealing with a lot of life events, deaths, illness, etc. I'm not doing great but it will pass.
Quite okay...youtubers are still human! Have some grace for each other.
Your comment about oil in the house, I agree, I don't use oil, but I had a guest that uses it, and, as I was cleaning the dishes, I resented the feel of that oil in my cookware and wash water!
OK had to laugh because one of the commercials between your video is where I work. Lol 🤩 great video and wish u would do more 🥰
They did some good ad targeting eh? I’m working on having a regular schedule on YT ☺️
You funny.. Thank you for sharing, I will try the potatoe reset...
Been vegan for 3 1/2 years now. Started out very whole food vegan and then slowly slipped into junk food vegan! I’ve gained back all the weight I lost when I went vegan and then some! Time to reset!!!!
It's such a great way to take the focus off food for awhile (even if you love potatoes!).
You can do it!
You look beautiful as always! Love this!! 💕💕
Thank you so much Emmie
I WANT TO DO THIS!!!!
Thank you for the info and you look great friend😻
Why no Stevia🧐
Hey Jeannine, you know WHY i love ya so much?? Because YOU ARE REAL. You have F*ckups and get back at it. You are real, make mistakes and start over. You're honest and have a follower for life.
Love ya AND POTATOES!!!
THANK YOU Deborah!! This means the world to me
Thank you for your channel !!! I’m going to do potatoes reset :-). Is diced tomato a non starchy vegetable ?
Correct, diced tomato is a non-starchy veg
I’ve been looking for something like this to stop my cravings and actually lose weight without just exercise and doing the Starch Solutions 75%. I hope something like this will then get me over that hump so I can do the starch solutions 100%👍🏼
Hi Suzanne, I hope you were able to get over that hump. I'm just now crawling out of my pandemic cave, thus the late reply. xo
Welcome back.
thank you
Hi Jeannine, nice to see a new video, you look great. Did you see Dr. Barnard’s new video on the thyroid?
I haven't yet but I will look it up now, thank you!
I've tried to do the potato reset multiple times but give up after a day or two. My eating has been out of control since last spring. I got on track briefly earlier this year but then spiraled out of control. I know what I need to do but so addicted to processed foods. Your recent reset inspired me to watch this video again, and going to reread the reset book, and hopefully do the reset starting next week!
You started again yet?
@@petraweizal I start tomorrow! Super excited!
@@TheChoiceofMotherhood oohh keep me up dated I never stick to stuff like this I'm same as you do it for a day or so
@@petraweizal will do! I'm hoping to do weekly updates on my channel, and daily on my Instagram
@@petraweizal Failed again! When choosing between eating something I don't want, or not eating at all, I choose not to eat. Unfortunately I have barely ate today, almost causing me to pass out multiple times (I have a syncope issue). Not giving up completely, just adding a few things (whole food, plant based) to help make the potatoes more appetizing.
We miss you!
thank you!! I'm working on making my way back soon! A year of lockdowns has me in a funk, that and living with my parents.
Good for you I eat potatoes every day now
A great condiment is hot sauce since most are just peppers and salt, no calorie or fat or sugar usually.
I'm on day 2 with 100lbs to lose!! Thanks for your vids
How did you fare?
@@suburbanfarms I started IM fasting 20:4 after I fell off the reset🤦🏾♀️
@@apeacefulplace7854 That guy from Australia asked A115 pounds in one year just eating potatoes you can do it you can do it I've lost 9 lbs this is my first week
I alternate between potatoes and keto. Both give the same benefits. They keep you full
Can I also eat rice ?? Just a minute going to order your book! See you in another second!!!
not on The Potato Reset, but you could always set up your own plan.
I like the new setup.😊
thank you!
I basically haven't eaten any junk food since January and I do a mini reset every once in a while when I start to veer off track. Still not completely WFPB but potatoes and veg are my main food sources and I've lost close to 40lbs. Now if only I could stop putting sugar in my coffee and tea!!! Thanks Jeanine!
Natalie, you are doing AMAZING!! Keep it up! If getting off sugar in your coffee/tea is a goal, you could ween off in baby steps :)
Sugar is fine just can't have fat with it
You lost soo much weight. Congrats!!!!!!!👏👏👏
I’m doing my own version of this which is not quite as hardcore, not ready for it yet. I’m already Vegan so eliminating a lot of forbidden stuff is easier for me. However, I am doing OMAD, one large russet potato mashed with a tablespoon of vegan butter, steamed broccoli and shiitake mushrooms, I also use a conservative amount of pink Himalayan salt and black pepper. 5 days in and my waist is already smaller and I have yet to feel a hunger pang in the day, I don’t feel one until about an hour before I’m due to eat next, this works for me, your mileage may vary. I have 50 pounds to lose, so if and when I plateau, I will do the more disciplined version of the reset.
I tried my issue was if I wasn’t going to be home for a meal and wanted to take with me, how do you prepare for a cold meal? It was gross when tried cold baked potato
I need to do this again I am stuck at 220. Is that picture with Arnold?
Hey you look great 👍
Glad to see you are doing well 🌺
thank you!
Thank for be real!
Thank you so much for this one 🙏🏼❤️ do you have a video about what to put on the potato?
Hi Tina, I have a lot of vlogs showing what I eat in a day and what I put on my taters...but now that I think of it, I should do a video dedicated to sauces. A sauce guide! Thanks for the suggestion!
.. oh yes i will love that 🙏🏼😁❤️
Thanks for the tip about caffeine. I'm going to start a potato reset in a few days. Was also going to cut back on coffee too but I'll do that anther time.
Just starting this journey. Great info! Felt spirit guide me to potato’s. Wowowow would have never guessed. I’m very heavy and fatty liver. Was a beautician at one time so know heavy metals in my liver. When en trying keto and others I get such bad detox symptoms. Headache everywhere non stop. Has anyone experience this with potatos? Sure it’s drop in blood sugar and moving toxins around. Any tips appreciated!
I get headaches anytime I remove sugar and other processed foods from my diet, it could be that!
p.s. drink plenty of water!
i've been on the potato diet for a few years now and it has done wonders for me. i still do fruit, however, it's not all day every day and it has worked fine for me in conjunction with the potato deal. for me, above all else, it's stay away from processed foods and animal products. i find even a tiny bit of non-vegetable oil is o.k. but processed flower, sugar, meat ad dairy is what needs to be off the list. forever and permanent.
i fully plan on sticking to this diet indefinitely.
Do you mean that you've eaten basically nothing but potatoes for the last few years? Can I ask why you started eating this way? What is your blood work like? What is your body composition like? Genuinely curious. 🥔🍠
@@rachelcoleman4693diet is potatoes with water and spices and a tiny bit of oil to make mashed potatoes (no vegetable oils corn, safflower, etc. expensive but worth it high polyphenol olive oil only) plus various vegetables (mostly broccoli and cauliflower) then various fruits (my case mostly watermelon and red grapes) plus walnuts and pistachios for healthy fats (omega 3). i don't stick to it perfectly but that is the vast majority of it. above all else anything processed plus bread, pasta, white rice, meat and dairy are out.
not sure about blood work but i've lost tons of inches and i look and feel overall tons better. atm i still don't have the discipline to cut the crap foods out completely but i've cut way back and hope to ditch it completely at some point.
Hello! I was wondering if you have a cookbook?
Yes I do! The ebook version is available at potatoreset.com , print version on Amazon 😀
This makes zeeeeero sense......zeeeeero, just eat right, how right? I don't know, more right than last time.
Eating right = whole plant foods. Some people need to transition to that, and this helps. It changed my life and it would be a shame to not share it.
I am so interested in this but the thought of eating a potato without butter... I have a lot of digestive issues and food allergies so many condiments don't work for me. Any thoughts on a butter replacement?
I like lemon or coconut aminos or salsa... did you ever do the reset? Am thinking about trying it.
I’m only at the intro and have to hit pause. Where is your shirt from? I want one!
I got it from Nutritionfacts.org :)
@@PotatoWisdom interesting, no store is listed.
Hello! Thanks for the video. I’m assuming all the meals throughout the day are designed in this fashion?
yes all meals are potatoes and veggies
I just started my first potato reset today.
I was wondering if squash is ok to eat on the reset? I had ordered some kabocha squash and wanted to make a potato and squash soup.
Winter squash isn't on the potato reset but I doubt it will ruin your progress, it's very low in calories and super healthy. Sorry for the delayed response, I've been in my pandemic cave xo
Can you use maple syrup or date syrup to sweeten your coffee a little?
I don’t recommend any kind of sweetener in your drinks.
Great video! Is that piggy tattoo on your upper arm new? I don’t remember seeing it before. Anyway, just wanted you to know I watched and loved the video and you’re such a crack up!! 🤣🥰 luv ya❣️
Yes! Thank you!
Is it easy to cleanse your palate with ketchup (made with sugar and so many stuff we can’t pronounce)? Does our palate cleanse when we eat date syrup or brown syrup? I don’t get it?
The point is to keep that stuff minimal. You don't have to try to get through it with plain potatoes, though I personally found that after a week or two I started to enjoy plain potatoes.
I came for the pink shirt... yea we will go with "shirt" in the thumbnail and was disappointed... 😅 But great information.
lol, sorry about the pink shirt disappointment
Hi. As someone who also has hypothyroidism, how often do you consume cruciferous vegetables?
Not very often but not because I'm worried about them, I just don't like them. If you eat cruciferous, cook them. You would have to eat a crazy amount to cause goiter.
Tried for awhile was losing but things would happen like the pandemic anything stressful anything hard I would turn to food and I'd say what difference does it make ?I really want to try again so must lose I am 380 lbs and 61, I had gastric sleeve it didn't work, I'll die if I don't do something, I can barely walk anymore stay in bed all day. I'm going to save up for your book I wondered if you have any new books out too?
I totally get it, this past year has been difficult for everyone. It's hard to "care" when we don't know what the future holds right? I hope you are able to get the book, if not I highly recommend getting The Starch Solution from the local library if you can or buy it if you can find it on sale. I'll be working on a new book this year, it will be a next step guide for after The Potato Reset. I hope you are well, sorry for the delayed response, xo
@@PotatoWisdom thank you yes everyone i know had put on weight from stress and boredom .my Dr recommends for me the intermediate fasting.i stop eating at 6 pm and don't eat till 10 am the next day. I'd like what I eat during the 8 hours I can be recipes from your book .if I get my check, I am buying your book 🥰
If the only way that you could eat potatoes without feeling sick afterwards was to peel them and never eat the skin, would that be something that you could live with? I think before I heard you say that if you could not eat potatoes at all or were allergic to them, you would have a hard time dealing with that.
that’s totally fine to peel if you need to
@@PotatoWisdom would it bother you if you had to peel them?
I love potatoes lol
I would like to eat potatoes for a month, how many sacks of 5lbs potatoes would I buy for 30 days, having 1600 calories requirement per day?
I go through 30 lbs per week
@@PotatoWisdom Oh my, thank you
I see this an old video, and I notice this person doesn't post anymore on UA-cam or on her instagram pages but just wondered if anyone in 2024 is following or considering starting the potato reset?
I'm still around and happy to answer any questions about the Potato Reset. I do post to Instagram stories just not as much recently. Feel free to DM me on IG. Are you starting a Potato Reset soon?
@PotatoWisdom Hi! Yes, I'm starting your potato reset tomorrow for 30 days (finally! After purchasing your ebook in October last year!) and I was looking to see if anyone else might be doing it at the moment. I have no questions yet, but I'm pleased to know you're still around if I have any 🙂. Thank you.
If you don't recommend sweeteners how come maple syrup is ok?
Date or Maple syrup is minimally processed, it doesn't try to trick your body into thinking it's sugar.. because it's real. Not fake. Stevia and other sweeteners can really mess up the tastebuds.
@@PotatoWisdom Interesting! It still spikes insulin though?
that’s not a concern on a low fat diet
@@PotatoWisdom Insulin spikes are perfectly fine if eating low fat?
@@dj-fe4ck Sounds like it 🤷♀️
👍💜
Hi Elaine :)
Hi, that hearty vegetable soup, can I eat that daily? I struggle a lot but need to lose a great amount of weight.
Love Potatoes. Eat a WFPB diet. One of my favorite meals is A baked potato and beans.
So good! I love potatoes and beans too
Pomme de terre 🥔
Indeed
Haha...ada for popcorn...ahhhhhhhh...lol...
oh damn!! I hate that lol
🥔💚👋🏻😘
How would one know if there “allergic” to potatoes vs “intolerant” ????
You would need to get an allergy test to find out if you have a true potato allergy. For a food intolerance, you can pay $$$ to get a food sensitivity test done through a naturopath or do an elimination diet.
Can I do this if I have insulin resistance? ( I hashimotos ,posted.. yaa fun 🙄)
Yes. If you are worried about it, I recommend looking up Mastering Diabetes website, they are an excellent resource for all things diabetes and insulin resistance. The guys that run it are both T1 diabetics and eat loads of carbs. If they can do it anyone can. One of them has a few autoimmune diseases.
I have heard about this diet and am kinda hesitant about whether to start with this diet or with the carnivore diet which is also growing in popularity. hahaha, maybe, as a transition period, it wouldn’t be bad to apply both for a start.
I vote for anything not involving animal products. Your arteries will thank you 😊
just kidding. I'm already a carnivore! @@krism6260
Sounds eerily like Mary's Mini.
It is very similar, I don't think it's a bad thing ?
Wait, ketchup is allowed?
Yes, but use it minimally. Fat free plant based sauces used minimally is 100% okay.
I don’t understand why eat starch-free vegetables when you’re eating starchy potatoes?
Potatoes are the main source of calories, the star of the show. The non-starchy veggies are additional and optional. If you want to just eat potatoes that's fine too.
@@PotatoWisdom But why is the advice, if you choose to eat vegetables, to eat non-starchy? What difference would it make to eat starchy vegetables? I hear this advice every where but I don’t understand it. Is there a such thing as starch over load? Just really curious!
How does this work with somebody who has diabetes? Potatoes increase blood sugar so is this different if you're eating so many potatoes? Anyone on here have diabetes and try this? If so, what happened to your blood sugars?
Hi Vicky, this article might be helpful: www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2002nl/apr/potatoes.htm#:~:text=When%20you%20eat%20a%20potato,sets%20off%20a%20chain%20reaction.

You very picky, maybe you have to much money to buy take aways 🤔
I am sorry honey but zucchini is actually a fruit
