- Craft projects are my favourite hobbies and I find them very relaxing. My creative mind didn’t allow me to keep the materials in Riyadh. Hence I took them along and now it was time to get crafty.
I have prawns biriyani video published couple of years back when I gave a treat for my kids preparing their favourite dishes. But this time prepared in coconut milk and it tasted even better. A must try.

Prawns biriyani : ( I prepared more quantity hence mentioning for 1 kg prawns biriyani )
Prawns - 1 kg
Marinade :
Shallots - 6
Ginger - small piece
Garlic - 5 cloves
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - few
Green chillies - 3
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt
Bay leaf - 2
Cardamom - 4
Cinnamon - 1” stick
Cloves - 4
Star anise - 1/2
Mace - 1/2
Basmati rice - 1 kg
Oil - 1/2 cup
Onion - 4 medium sliced
Tomato - 4 medium chopped
Coriander leaves - 1 cup chopped
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup chopped
Thin Coconut milk - 8 cups
Salt
Garnish - fried cashews & raisins

Prawns - 1 kg
Marinade -
same as above
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
Coconut oil - 4 tbsp
( if deep frying, add 1.5 tbsp corn flour and mix )
