I have owned 4 cat skid steers keep up grading every two years or so own a 259D at this time . I went to the local Bobcat dealer I asked why he did not carry more machines with hand controls he said it would make it too easy for people to leave there brand. They are like trucks they all have there strengths and weaknesses. Cat has a great service department and on my price quote was $4000.00 less than Bobcat by the time he equipped them the same. The only issue I have ever had with any of my cats was an A/C compressor went out under warranty. I have rented Bobcat, Kubota, John Deer and New Holland. I like the Cat best for what I do. Grade and Sod work

And bobcats new track design is A copy of caterpillars hi drive chassis, Bob cat needs to change their name to copycat.
I work heavy construction and I had a bobcat t870 I keep on having issues with the machine and the new dpf the fuel flooded the engine two times I was told the second time I would have to get a new engine put in and a new dpf system I started to look at other ctl loaders I bought a new caterpillar 299d2 xhp I have been running it 5 to 9 everyday and haven't had any issues

You have no idea about mud and cat machines. You need more space by your final drive in order to be able to clean out mud more efficiently. The carriage needs a more acute angle , high on the inside so it sheds mud better. Hoses are exposed, tracks are to close to the cab. So many places for improvement.

Totally not in the vid, I know, but I ran a 245C car skid steer, forget the year now, but, the back window, rear visibility was almost as good as front visibility..... Traded that in at nearly 7000 hours for a 324 John Deere, brand new. That damn thing has no visibility, unless you try and stand up in the cab, then you starting seeing something a little bit. Nice loader, though, otherwise can't complain..... But I kinda prefer cat.

Has anyone actually looked into a cat tracked machine. They have Hydraulic hoses right where mud builds up and where you would jam a shovel.
