Great illustration but why didn't you explain what are the advantages of series and parallel capacitance?
thank you..keep up the good work and your channel will grow to a much big extent!!!!!!!
if the capacitors are charging up, is the current first going through the led and then up to the capacitors?
I'm going through all the Electronics Basics videos and have now come this far - thanks for all the videos! :)
However, in this video I would have liked to see you explain how the voltage ratings are affected in parallel vs series capacitors.
Great explanation.
Simple and understandable
Thanks SE !

I hope this guy is a professor somewhere around the world, cause he's definetely the best i've ever watched.
No, I am an industrial automation electronics engineer. Thank you!
Hi. Thanks for valuable video
Can I replace a damaged plastic film capacitor in the coffee maker with
A aluminum capacitor. Connected in series to get same values.
Great stuff man
Excellent great work
How about rating voltage of 2 C (same value) in series, is it increasing? Example : 100uf/10v 2x series, it will be 50uf/20v, is it correct?
your videos help in making basics strong
I was asked one time which capacitor in the series will run out first when the source switches off: the first capacitor of the series or the last capacitor of the series?
Adorabunny
I am no professional,
But knowing that current can only flow to one direction at a time , I think the capacitor that is towards the flow of the current will run out the last .
Hello professor
Thank you so much for your interesting information and excellent courses.
I really appreciate your job. I wish you peace and happiness under the sky of prosperity.
All the best.
This video helps me so much on my channel! Thanks!
exlained and visualized simply and great - thank you
Great work
Am wondering what software you are using in this video
I also want to know please tell me if you which software he is using
Good demonstration
I have one metal capacitor in a tape recorder which I cannot purchase,it’s 300volt, 8 uF,How can I wire in capacitors too make up this value.HELP would be useful,I’m restoring a reel to reel tape recorder. Thanks in anticipation.
You could probably use a 10uF capacitor to replace it. Just make sure it is rated at >300 volts. Capacitor voltage rating is not important as long as it is higher than the one being replaced.
Hi Sir, thank you for sharing such knowledge, it is very useful and simplified, okay while we still on capacitors i would like to know as to how to we select the correct value just like we do in resistors, 2nd i would like to know of how do we know where do we need to use a capacitor?? thank you...
great video
well explained
Which software did you use???
part from the pretty animation.. WHERE exactly did you show how to calculate the series equivalence ? simply stating 1-over plus 1-over equals is hardly showing how you got to 80 Micro farads.
Thanks!!!
What software you use, thx
He uses everycircuit.com
Sir if I connect a capacitor in serious in DC circuit. What happened. It allows current ?.
What's the name of the SIMULATION PROGRAM you're using pleeeeeease 😖😖😖😖😖
what is the name of the program
What size capacitor would I need to handle, at the very most, 35 volts and 3 amps? Also, does anybody have any good circuit board brands and sizes to recommend for general projects?
how are you using the capacitor? what is its purpose. it all depends on its configuration.
I'll be using it for general projects, probably a variety, probably with 22 gauge wire and those specs at the maximum.
+S J I can't give you a specific value of capacitor without knowing what it will be used for. The most I can say is it will probably need to be a relatively large value and have a voltage rating above 35V. There are different formulas to use to calculate the capacitance needed depending on the discharge time and voltage change.
Yet another fine video, but where's Electronics Basics 18
Thanks :) Battery Capacity and Usage is 18. Forgot to number that one :p
Thank you
i cant figure it out how it became 80uf
as much as i understand, in serial the electricity is spread across the capacitors, because its serial means it cant go anywhere else or accumulate on one capacitor but not the other one as they are in line they will just get same charge, farads depends on voltage and in this case the batery just cant charge more than 80 farads

First do the 2 calculations below the line - Divide 1 by 100 = 0.01 then divide 1 by 400 = 0.0025 Add both answers together = 0.0125 Now take the 1 on the top line and divide it by the 0.0025 Answer 80uf
Nice thanks
What program are you using for the simulation?
It's in the description!
(Sorry 'bout being late)
Pls tell me if you what software he is using
Nice!👍👍👍
The number of times you've said capacitor is just astonishing lol
The whole tutorial series is really incredible, though
When the switch is closed, why dont the current enter into the capacitors?but only for the diode?
what stimulation software are you using

What good is the series capacitors, then??? Where would this configuration be an advantage???
Parallel is the way to go if you're trying to keep the lights on...
i was wondering could you help me dsign a regulator circuit for a 12v car alternator. the transistor is a tip 142 or tip 122. you could probably use this program. so far i havnt had any luck. in th circuit that controls current and switches the tip on off many times a second is a 2n3904 transistor. the job is to keep main voltage at 14.4 volts.
what software are you using in these videos?

which software you are using in this video
@banu p.....this has been asked and answered so many times. People are effing lazy! everycircuit.com , it's $15 USD.
if we don't use any capacitors in a circuit, then what are the problem arises
I taught it was boring but its actually not
