Gabe is so lucky to have these great people in his life that adore him. The love and care and time they take to help him achieve his best. I only wish I had parents like this when I needed help as a child.
Gabe you are a fantastic brilliant guy with the best family. Much love to you all. ❤️

I think that’s why he kept staring right in her face. People with autism struggle with eye contact. So he continues to get in her face like that to prove to her that he cares, he’s engaged and he’s listening ❤

Bro it's called a spectrum for a reason not all people with Autism are non-verbal many are self sustaining enough to live a completely independent life. I think you need to read up on this and not judge other people's diagnosis

Is it possible that Gabe thought he had to connect 4, whether it was in a row or in a square? Because at 0:48 he connected 4 pieces, forming a square.
Except for that it really looks like he understood how the game works.

Possibly, I think many people think that, it is also his first time playing the game, not to mention he brain could be wired to think that way.

I love this game and again, I have Asperger’s/autism mild and I am very independent and capable of a lot. It looks like Gabe will come on a long way and very keen to be active loving that game. I saw the video of him on Christmas Day and he was absolutely delighted when he saw the guitar as folk like us who have conditions whether mild or more severe always love music and other stuff.

If I had a child as precious as Gabe, that would touch his nose to mine, I would be so happy. I feel that Gabe speaks. He does alot of things that I consider speaking. He is the most precious young man ever. I'm proud of you, Gabe. You did great with connect 4. I was never a math person. I can't do equations. And I'm almost 42. But I can write really well. Gabe, find your best talent, and Shine like a star. You have already stolen hearts.

Now this was Max's go to when he was little. The almighty connect 4. He wouldn't play it right but his own way. He loved it. He stopped several years back. But now we found an outside one and he is back at it again. The outdoors one is a jumbo one and it is great. Only thing is we dump it from the top and not the bottom, it's just easier. The biggest thing I have learned from Max is patience.

You did a wonderful job… you don’t treat your son any differently, however couldn’t you made it wiser fans worked your way to go four, maybe started with three… I’m asking because he understood it but could that have helped? I’m interested in how others think especially those like Gabe who have and I hate to use these words but disability’s.

Is it possible that Gabe feels too scared to talk and that makes him feel ashamed? And so he has to keep finding comfort to make him feel safe. I have a hard time talking sometimes and with relationships in general being as bad as they are it just makes it worse. His frustration must be intense.

I’m no expert… I just dropped IB (international baccalaureate) phycology… I can say it can be a wide range of things… brain wired that way (most likely), all the way to a traumatic event that in turn caused him to not want to or not be able to speak (that I saw in a movie and turns out after research it’s possible but very rarely) so yes what you said is possible.
