Yes way too negative. They will have Gabe Vincent and Vanderbilt back. Hate this idea Lakers HAVE to make a bad deal for the Lakers to even have a chance to win.
Luka Šamanić has the attributes to be a starting caliber center in the NBA. He is SLEPT on because he is run at PF. BUT, he can 100 percent start at Center especially with AD backing him up. He has physicality, versatility, and a high basketball IQ. He’s 6'10", his agility and wingspan allow him to guard multiple positions. And he can stretch the floor with a reliable three-point shot. He is only 24 years old! (Turned this year) These averages are based on slightly old data and they might be slightly behind: In games where Šamanić has started, he averages 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Per 36 minutes in starts, his averages rise to 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks, with shooting percentages of 48.2% from the field and 35.7% from three. Last season, per 36 minutes, he averaged 17.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks. His career highs include 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks in a single game, showcasing tremendos upside. Player Efficiency Rating (PER) of 19.3 and a Defensive Box Plus-Minus (DBPM) of +1.8 Not to mention his off-ball movements and decision-making with show extremely high IQ. IMO he solves a big chunk of the lakers problems and is on a 2.5 million dollar expiring contract.
@@Blazin50s Idk the negatives I want to hear Sean talk about him. I don’t understand why he even comes off the bench so much when he’s been so productive starting.
I wouldn't just make a trade to please everybody because U can't please everybody anyway. If it doesn't help or make good sense Y do it. They only need to tweak it a little bit the major issue is health.
I really don't understand how anyone can expect NBA players to want to come to the Lakers. They have a head coach who has no experience in coaching. Being told what to do by someone who doesn't have a clue 😢. With all that going on, then realistically expect someone to take a pay cut to play for someone they don't respect in a position that they haven't earned 🤔.
3 guys were out last season for a good chunk, same guys could've helped out in the playoffs if they were in a rythme. Wood and AD should've been on the floor together starting, Vando's length was missed, Gabe wasn't in a groove
Trevor you have to stop saying " I want to trade for X player, but he's 34 yrs old." Because if X player were younger then he either wouldn't be available or he would require more picks and draft compensation. We have enough "young" players, if we get 3 players that are 30-35 yrs old to fill our most empty positions, then that's what we need to do. We also need a new medical staff because they've been horrible lately and most of the injured players had the same injury "swollen knee."
My trade scenario: LA sends BKN: D'Lo, Rui, JHS, Wood, & a protected 1st. BKN sends LA: Cam Johnson, Day'Ron Sharpe, & Dennis Schroder. This works for LA for many reasons. Cam is a slight upgrade over Rui overall, but a better perimeter defender & historically a better 3PT shooter. D'Lo is a better player than Dennis, but Dennis is the better defensive player. On a talent level, people might argue this is a push, but I think Cam & Dennis fit better on this team than Rui & D'Lo do. Also, in Sharpe LA gets a big-bodied center prospect who is only 22 years old & should slot in as a decent backup C with upside to be a quality rotational player. The trade also cuts a couple million off payroll & opens a roster spot. This works for BKN b/c they get a 1st round pick, a young PG prospect in JHS, & D'Lo & Wood's expiring contracts. They would be buying low on Wood in particular; from '20-'23, Wood averaged 18/9 & shot 38% from 3PT, & still only 28 years old. He would immediately be slotted as BKN's starting C, & if he plays well, can be flipped at the trade deadline. They also swap out Cam for Rui, who is a couple years younger than Cam & is on a decent contract that is easily flippable if BKN decides that's what they want to do. Also, Rui is historically less of an injury risk than Cam so he there's less risk involved in keeping Rui as a trade asset the next season or 2.
I've been pissed 🤬 off at Rob all damn season, but I'm tired of being pissed so instead I'm going to be supportive, because if Bron and AD aren't worried then why should I be. Let's see what happens, but above all else I want us to get off to a good start to the regular season because our stars are old and injury prone, we need to finish in the top 5, no less. LET'S GO ROB, JEANIE, and JJ!!!!!!
The fact that the NBA openly allows collusion against the LAKERS should be the bigger story. Too many times I'm seeing teams get a "Larry Nance Jr." in a trade, when for the same player Atlanta was asking for 2 frontline players, 1st round picks, and draft swabs from the LAKERS. It's straight bullshit!
Don't overpay for players, if we can't improve the roster at a reasonable cost so be it. Players don't want to play with LeBron, teams don't want to trade with the Lakers. It is what it is. Let JJ earn his contract. If he's worth anything he should add 4-6 wins to the same roster with better strategies, timely time outs and the abolishment of galaxy brain lineups.
The main problem is the AD LeBron duo now. They can’t defeat many other young duo in the league now. Role players are not gonna help. Lakers need to wait for the next era.
It's not a playoff team. We can't beat the rockets and kings. What makes any ome think this roster is very good? Backcourt is probably the least athletic in the West. Austin at one with his lack of quickness and inability to beat any one without a screen to the rim? No rebounding at all. Most underwhelming wing talent in the West in an NBA where wings are King.
The Lakers are the in-season tournament champions and were derailed when Ham started messing with the line-up immediately after and caused us to be trapped in that play in scramble, which caused us to get a pretty bad match up with the Nuggets. If Ham didn’t squander our regular season and got a top 4 seeding instead of a play in seeding then we might be talking about making minor adjustments instead of being 2-3 pieces away. This might be how the FO is looking at it and is why they are not showing desperation especially after getting rid of the cause of the problem from last season.
They need to trade Wood and a second round pick to a team with space. That's the first ball to drop. After that, trade Vincent, Hayes, and a heavily protected first for Robert Williams III.
No, we are not all on pin and needles waiting for something. Some of us aren't manufacturing story lines just to stay on pins and needles. Chill and just wait until something happens.
I’m on trev side of rooting for LeBron. It seems like Sean leans towards pro LeBron but less than Bron fans do. But y’all both are wrong. Lakers have done a lot of what LeBron has asked and he needs to give some more because during that 2021 series we saw LeBron couldn’t lead a team anymore to a chip. Lakers job has always been about winning championships and these guys not taking it that seriously as players until later in the season.
You were wrong throughout this and then left out context that in 2021 playoffs LeBron was MAYBE 50% healthy. He was literally MVP favorite with lakers 28-14 then Solomon hill dirty play ruined his yr & lakers yr. He wasn’t even remotely close to healthy when he came back after missing 20-30 games or whatever it was before playoffs. Lakers actually decision makers have not done a lot of what LeBron wanted. If they did they’d be in much better shape now. LeBron wanted Ty Lue, Caruso back, DeRozan before Westbrook, and them to trade for Kyrie at Feb 2023 trade deadline! They lowballed Lue, Caruso, DeRozan on money/years (+ wouldn’t allow Lue to hire his own assistant coaches), then wouldn’t give up AR & Max in a trade for Kyrie! You think LeBron wanted to give away Zubac for nothing? You think right before he got there he wanted to give ways Brooke Lopez for nothing? Was it his fault they passed on Porzingis, Jaylen Brown, Tatum with 2nd pick in 3 straight drafts (those guys all went 4/3/3 including b2b to Celtics right after Lakers picked!). Lebron & AD wanted Westbrook AFTER they lowballed DeRozan (they wanted to only give him 2yrs to match Bron’s contract…”DeRozan on record saying he and Bron both thought it was a done deal, but the business didn’t work out.”), but it’s on the GM to say “Fuck no he’s on the worst contract in the NBA, horrid fit, way past prime, doesn’t allow us to add anything else around you, makes our permiter defense worse getting rid of KCP etc etc! All players love Westbrook. He was one of Kobe MJ LeBron Jokic fav players, but that doesn’t mean a GM shouldn’t say “he’s not that same player anymore, he’s making 48 million per year when he should be making 4.8 million, and he hurts our spacing, defense, 3P shooting.” This notion they couldn’t say no to Westbrook, but could to all of those other moves above (Lue, Caruso, DeRozan, Kyrie) is delusional LeBron hate. He also wanted Lowry for THT.

I see a lot of "let's just do something" takes. The Lakers are closer to being a lottery team should LeBron and/or AD miss significant time or LeBron retires after this season than any of these proposed trades actually making them a contender. Going from 7th to 5th isn't worth being on the other side of Gail Goodrich or Don Ford trade. This isn't the Showtime or Kobe/Shaq era where draft picks were very expendable where the Lakers would be picking. Is Kessler, Sexton, Kuzma, Finney-Smith, Cam Johnson gonna be worth it if the next VW comes along and another team is holding the pick?
Trevor its either the kitchen appliances/Tupperware aisle or thr Food court. Order a couple of Pizzas and run that live show while you wait for the pizza 🍕🍕🍕

The Lakers have passed over shotmaket after shotmaker even when a teammate. Every team sets beating the Lakers as a goal while management placed emphasis on an all-star with his son as a teammate. THT is an example while his agent was the same as Lebron's. The Lakers have become career-killers.
Kuzma would not be a good aquisition especially since hes used to chuck up 30 shots a game now Garland too small If we are going to trade players and picks it must be for a 3 point shooting rim protecting big only.
Y’all always talk about Wings, but were complaining about Guards and Center. It’s sad cause you have potential but y’all talking like u wanna scribble it around so you gonna be contender. That’s how it works
Regardless of whether we have a playoff roster or not, Rob has wasted LeBron's time here, for the most part. The franchise has lost some of its luster and the future is murky - it feels like the front office has not planned out a viable path forward. Big changes are coming over the next 24 months- even if that it mostly LeBron retiring- and none of us want to see the Lakers fall off the cliff when that happens. It feels like the leadership isn't leading, but reacting slowly to changing circumstance and getting left behind.

@@hunter-zp2hfshit be hilarious cuz I know every show mfs gonna talk about his trash wifi or computer😂
Marvin Bagley would be a good option as a backup C/PF - he averaged 12/6 in 20 mpg last season on 39% from 3 and 59% overall.
Cam Johnson, DFS, Nikola Vucevic, Jalen Johnson ATL, Brook Lopez, Clint Capela, Zach Lavine are still available for trades
Best trades are made before training camp, some good players who are traded to bad teams are available to be trade again in september. Example - josh green is currently in hornets, and he can be traded after august 30th
At this point yes, I say the same. In the lakers case knect can be traded in 30 days. He's a potential piece for building team like jazz or nets.
We DONT need Kuzma. He's just like Rui. All offense and no defense. We need two way players
Having a coach who knows how to counter and explain to our players where to be. Depending on what the other team does. Will be a nice treat. DLO still a cone tho. Need Caruso Schroeder super hustle defenders to make up for dlo having zero chance of staying infront of his man on defense
Sean Davis no Longer looks 12. He has turned into a man. One of the best things to happen in the Lakers Universe, these days.
lol it’s only the beard
Yes way too negative. They will have Gabe Vincent and Vanderbilt back. Hate this idea Lakers HAVE to make a bad deal for the Lakers to even have a chance to win.
I have been saying this, but I will repeat, mark my words, Henson is better than Knect. He has the steel of the (un)draft.
Thanks to Spham we have no idea what this roster can do.
Let’s go lake show let’s have a great season can’t wait 🔥 💜💛
Trevor was talking about having a microphone on so he could announce a deal.
If we not looking for a starting center bring back Howard for the low
Luka Šamanić has the attributes to be a starting caliber center in the NBA. He is SLEPT on because he is run at PF. BUT, he can 100 percent start at Center especially with AD backing him up. He has physicality, versatility, and a high basketball IQ.
He’s 6'10", his agility and wingspan allow him to guard multiple positions. And he can stretch the floor with a reliable three-point shot. He is only 24 years old! (Turned this year)
These averages are based on slightly old data and they might be slightly behind:
In games where Šamanić has started, he averages 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game.
I’m interested. Whats the negatives? I’m sure as soon as Ainge hears we’re interested his price will skyrocket.
If Darvin Ham can take us to the Western conference finals in his first year, then JJ can at least get us back in the play in tournament
We need austin to be an all star player if we wanna do something if not him but someone gotta take that next leap him , rui are my bets
Safe to say Trevors Costco run is complete, and no trade… we really are screwed!
My trade scenario:
LA sends BKN: D'Lo, Rui, JHS, Wood, & a protected 1st.
Hopefully Rob does something improve the Lakers not sleeping and ordering pizzas on his cellphone.
I wouldn’t trade for Lavigne with Chicago to help them because they wouldn’t trade us AC.
I use to watch all of the podcast, by now I know we’re not making a trade until the trade deadline February 2025. Again 😫
After the trade sign in free agency with minumun contracts ;
Center ; Mc Gee or Bol Bol
Pointguard; Kyle Lowry
SG/SF ; Gordon Hayward
Hey lakers nation. After lebron the team can really grow
Trevor Rob has not got it done since he got the job , no Kyrie, no Harden, no Kawhi, no Klay, no Hurley
Most underwhelming wing talent in the West in an NBA where wings are King.
trevor is such a reaves fan girl. Wouldn’t trade him for caruso? insanely delusional.
It seems Pelinka always late in getting the right players needed by Lakers.
Derozan a problem now. We are 94-99% cooked
Underrated take
Question for people who know BALL…Who is the better fit right now for the Lakers..Darius Garland or Trae Young?
They need to trade Wood and a second round pick to a team with space. That's the first ball to drop.
After that, trade Vincent, Hayes, and a heavily protected first for Robert Williams III.
No, we are not all on pin and needles waiting for something. Some of us aren't manufacturing story lines just to stay on pins and needles. Chill and just wait until something happens.
Kuzma is ok but I think he will not fare well with Lebron and AD it's too much pressure for him to do well because he is a streaky player.
I think if healthy this team will shock the naysayers. Especially with the urgency of LeBron career winding down!
37:00
LOL DFS is an 8 ppg scrub - Dlo is WAY better.
He was one of Kobe MJ LeBron Jokic fav players, but that doesn’t mean a GM shouldn’t say “he’s not that same player anymore, he’s making 48 million per year when he should be making 4.8 million, and he hurts our spacing, defense, 3P shooting.”
This notion they couldn’t say no to Westbrook, but could to all of those other moves above (Lue, Caruso, DeRozan, Kyrie) is delusional LeBron hate. He also wanted Lowry for THT.
@@superdopehiphop just because someone is up for MVP doesn’t mean they can carry a team. Regardless his performance put those players at risk because he is looked at as the leader and those other players that are no longer with the lakers did not perform when needed.
Coaching does matter. But guess what. Which one of those coaches actually have been to a finals since then. None.
We need Matt the optimist during these dark times
Lmao facts
the optimism left a couple years ago, he just laughs through the pain now
No he's been on every other show the past two weeks I'm getting tired of him 🤣🤣
@@hunter-zp2hf 😂😂😂 naw Matt dope AF.
@@icecoldac3 no he isnt, they all suck except for trevor and ron.
Pelinka is hamstrung if he has to get LeBron and the Rambi's approval for any trade.
LeBron wanted Ty Lue, Caruso back, DeRozan before Westbrook, and Kyrie but lakers decision makers said no to all 4.
@@superdopehiphophe was also willing to take less this year. Should’ve had a sign and trade or an impact player take an MLE. Rob ain’t get nothing done. I disliked Ham but Rob needs to go too.
@@jameshall7048 Rob hired Ham too! Rob/FO/Jeanie since 2021-22 season have been horrific and on the whole since Dr Buss passed in Feb 2013 Lakers FO/GM/ownership has been bottom 5 in the NBA.
What’s taking them so long to get Walker Kessler he’d be signing his new contract by now if I was GM he’s only 3 million trade him for Christian wood or Jaxson Hayes and Jhs
This is turning into a pointless conversation as the Lakers will fail to execute any trade.
Nobody wants to play with a 40 YEAR OLD who is immune from criticism on the team.
20:26 we had this same thing with Ham
Trevor its either the kitchen appliances/Tupperware aisle or thr Food court. Order a couple of Pizzas and run that live show while you wait for the pizza 🍕🍕🍕
Any deal lakers make. Gonna be more from lakers than any other team
Sh*t! I would have even taken a chance on Kevin Porter Jr. if he were still available. But of course, the Clippers got him first.
Lakers aren’t going to do anything …and why won’t they just give up dlo an expiring contract for a derozen sign n trade??I mean it’s no pick, derozen is the way better player!!!!! Lebron and AD are going to not give a fck next year why would they??? Play in team…
The Lakers have passed over shotmaket after shotmaker even when a teammate. Every team sets beating the Lakers as a goal while management placed emphasis on an all-star with his son as a teammate. THT is an example while his agent was the same as Lebron's. The Lakers have become career-killers.
If Chicago attaching a 1st to lavine. I'm taking that deal
Garland is smaller than DLO & gives us nothing better defensively. Makes no sense
Kuzma would not be a good aquisition especially since hes used to chuck up 30 shots a game now
Garland too small
If we are going to trade players and picks it must be for a 3 point shooting rim protecting big only.
Nets will probably force us to get 3rd team involved on the deal to take Ben simmons's contract.
If we can’t get a center. Then most likely Colin Castleton gets a shot.
Y’all always talk about Wings, but were complaining about Guards and Center. It’s sad cause you have potential but y’all talking like u wanna scribble it around so you gonna be contender. That’s how it works
What about Deandre Ayton or Ben Simmons?
Jhs and Hayes a first unprotected and pick swap
Regardless of whether we have a playoff roster or not, Rob has wasted LeBron's time here, for the most part. The franchise has lost some of its luster and the future is murky - it feels like the front office has not planned out a viable path forward. Big changes are coming over the next 24 months- even if that it mostly LeBron retiring- and none of us want to see the Lakers fall off the cliff when that happens. It feels like the leadership isn't leading, but reacting slowly to changing circumstance and getting left behind.
There's no Jonathan Isaac chance?
MAN ALLAT TRADES HARDER NOW STUFF ROB TALKING IS HE LOOKING AROUND THE LEAGUE CUZ TRADES ARE GOIN DOWN CEP FOR A FEW TEAMS AND THE LAKERS AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST AS A FIRST ROUND TEAM THE TEAM CAN BE INCREMENTALLY BETTER WITH CHANGES THAT WAS MADE AND THE DRAFT BUT IT JUST LOOK LIKE ROB MAKING EXCUSES BT NOW THAT I THNK ABOUT IT HE MAY HAVE ALREADY TOLD US HOW FAR OUT IT MIGHT B AT LEAST IF YALL WAS LISTENING AT THE CONFERENCE HE SAD WHEN EVERYBODY GET AROUND ONE ANOTHER COMING UP THINGS GET DONE SO SIT BACK AND GET COMFY ROB PROLLY THINKING ABOUT HOW GOOD HE DID LAST TIME HE WAITED TIL THE DEDLINE
6th in the West? We haven't finished 6th in years! And almost all the other playoff teams got better. Plus Memphis is back! You guys assuming we're a playoff team are in for a rude awakening.
