This was my favorite episode thus far!!! I so agree, if a man doesn’t have enough to take you on a proper date his priorities are messed up and he should be left alone.
I also always go back to the “Would you take your dream woman on a coffee date?” Yas is right, if you know them well enough to want to meet in person, that’s the least they could do.
Women are SO beyond valuable to every relationship, it’s not even measurable. Women bring SO much abundance in every and anything to our partners lives, we truly deserve the best and not minimal effort, breadcrumbs.
Ladies never, ever settle for subpar treatment. You deserve to be cherished!!

Okay so you can tell your girls’ baba is the absolute best man. He set the bar so high and it is amazing to see you both be so strong and have high expectations of the people you surround yourself with. Young girls NEED to hear this. I feel like my culture was the opposite where women were tending to men and making their lives easier so it’s so interesting to hear how your culture is different. It is beautiful, loved this episode!
Yes makes me think about how many bad situations could be avoided if fathers set better examples for men and women

Enjoyed this episode and feel like it had a better flow and less repetitive than previous episodes. I think it helps to have some kind of structure and talking points/takeaways in each episode and not leaning into, what should we talk about, we will talk more about that next time (feels repetitive when we hear this as an audience). Leaning into personal stories and experiences is great and hope y’all continue this!
A jealous man is a such red flag. I’ve noticed when a guy is not satisfied with himself, broke, no friends, bitter from his ex.. he ends up competing with the women he encounters
I like men who cherish me, not view me as something he wants to challenge because of his insecurities

I would love to have mama and baba as a guest and tell their migration story. I am a dentist and i hurt me to hear he studied dentistry in Romania but had to work a different job in the US. Maybe some life advice and how they stay positive all the time!!
You can tell Yas speaks from a lot of experience that part of the convo of how a bored man is a red flag and what could come of it, was 100% Love these episodes. Always learn something new Definitely my goto podcast to have playing while at work or chilling🙌🏻🦋✨

Love the pod! Can we ever get any insight on what Yas does for a living and how she budgets living in Miami? And like an epi on tips on how to budget and be smart with finances? I just moved out of Miami because of the high cost of living and was juggling 2 jobs

100 % with Naz! My man does little things like lay out my favorite blanket, sleeping mask. He runs my baths for me and door dashes food if he goes out and I want to stay in. He makes sure I take my vitamins and my meds for the day. A THOUGHTFUL partner goes a long way.
He sounds more like a caregiver.

I agree with yaz that’s why I married my husband because he is the most gentle human and I’m a bit bratty and he never looses his cool and when we’re out in public he literally scoops the scene he keeps me protected like I walk around skipping because I don’t have too be on guard it’s so refreshing !

Haven’t finished the whole episode yet and I’m so hyped LOL I totally 100% agree with the coffee date discussion! You don’t have to take a woman to a 5-star restaurant either, but in my opinion a coffee date is giving, “I don’t care enough about this date or your time and value, and I just want to see if you’d accept the bare minimum from my end” and thus they don’t have to try harder next time. Speaking from experience. Nothing wrong with going through with it “just for fun” or to make a new friend, but I would personally keep my expectations low from a romantic aspect

The part where Yas explains her passing out just happens is too relatable 😭 reminded me of the first time I passed out in front of my husband, and we were in the shower 💀 poor thing, he was terrified. When I was in the dating world 20 years ago I couldn’t see what I know now and that is that when it comes to a man’s interest in you, it is very much black and white. He will make the effort to be with you or he won’t, there is no gray area. It was as true then as it is now.

Another red flag is when someone is constantly accusing someone of cheating, especially when they have given no reason to suspect that, that means they are guilty of doing so themselves. My first serious bf in highschool constantly called me while in school and made comments about how he was going to show up there because he thought I was cheating. Meanwhile he was actually cheating on me (I lost my v card to him too) Ugh lol

Selena and Justin were each others first love. Justin and Hailey are life partners, the love is not as crazy but they each others person if that makes sense.
The algorithm recommended this video to me and Idk why. I just stumbled on it and gave it a watch. After hearing this I have to shed some light from a male perspective. DATING is DATA. You date someone to collect data to assess whether or not this person can be a long-term investment. Time and money are precious, and it is not fair to the man or woman to waste either on anyone. Nobody owes anyone anything on a first date. If somebody asked you out then yes it would be courteous to pay. But he doesn't have to take you to a five-star restaurant where each plate is $900. That doesn't tell you who he is as a long-term life partner other than the fact that he has financial security. And if all you're looking for is financial security, don't you dare act surprised and shocked if other low quality traits about him start to surface. Because you were never vetting his character in the first place. You only saw his financial security and was willing to overlook everything else. Relationships are a yin and yang dynamic. One hand washes the other. There is nothing wrong with women holding men to a standard, just like there's nothing wrong with men holding women to a standard. There is nothing wrong with a man wanting a woman to hold him down. It's only wrong if he's not doing the same. A man is supposed to be a woman's protector and provider. NOT HER LOYAL WORKHORSE! A woman will lose respect and adoration for her man if he comes at her every beckon call. I'll pump the gas, I'll take the trash out, I'll change the tire. I'M NOT PLUGGING IN YOUR PHONE. I'm your protector and provider and I'm not performing tedious task that do not compromise the protection and provision of you. If it does not compromise your safety and well-being, be an adult and do it yourself.

Justin bieber is in a completely different head space now than when he first got with selena. That man has been through hell and back. He was sexually assaulted and sexualized in general by both men and women for years, sadly right in front of the publics eyes. And that's just what we saw, God only knows what was done to him by industry people behind closed doors. I think the toll of his life and his childhood innocence being robbed from him in more ways than one has finally caught up with him. Because of that, I dont think he'd be grinning from ear to ear even if he got back selena.
