- In his address to Congress, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recognized an Israeli paratrooper, who after hearing news of the Hamas attack on Oct. 7 “ran eight miles to the frontlines of Gaza to defend his people.”

As an ex UN peace keeper from the 70s and 80s, I always had great admiration for the loyalty and commitment of not just the IDF but also the Jewish people in general. To most other Countries this is an act of heroism, but to most Israelis, this type of action is the Norm.
