Thanks Joyce for posting video of Cardiff Castle. Anthony one more Aha song The sun always shines on TV, then the James Bond theme for The living Daylights. Did you guys know that Roald Dahl was born in Cardiff to Norwegian parents ?. It was great to see Tim jd and hear his voice thank you again. Regards Tom
@@joycedodgethemtomrs1737 yes that room was amazing. It’s hard to believe the amount of work that must have gone into it. All the best to you and the family Andy
Its rather odd to see visitors so impressed by things I kind of take for granted, having worked for a catering company that did events in the great hall of Cardiff Castle back when I was younger. The third Marquis of Bute was a very cultured man, apart from being the richest man in Victorian Britain at the time, he laid out the grounds as vistas using some very rare trees which are still there. I used to live above a Pizza Joint in the pedestrian area you visited. Two other hits by Aha are 'Hunting High and Low' and the theme song from the Bond film 'The Living Daylights' lol. Two other castles near Cardiff are Castell Coch, also designed by William Burgess, the Marquis' friend and architect, modelled on a german castle with rooms at least as good as in Cardiff Castle, and Caerphilly, the second largest Castle by area in Europe I think... I'm glad you liked our capital city :)
I think that must be true for anyone who lives near a tourist delight. We have absolutely nothing like this in America and we've seen movies and shows romanticizing castles. We enjoyed Cardiff to its limits.

There was so much to love about Cardiff. The city, the castle, and the sea in one place. Tim was an absolute delight.
Hi Joyce and Anthony 👍 another great video inside the castle was fantastic again another place I need to visit.
Thanks for sharing
Andy
It was a really interesting place. I loved the architecture in the "Arabian Room."

Hi Joyce, lovely to watch your video. I have not been to Cardiff yet but been to Gloucester many times.
Cardiff was a joy. I really thought it had a lot to offer.
