This is so helpful - and I wish I'd seen it before I finally dared to change my strings and didn't wrap them around the post before threading through the hole - I did the reverse, and the melody string won't hold the note. More strings now ordered.....Thank you!!!

Mandy here - maybe you can just take the string off and try putting it back on as I showed using the same string. Just wrap it around 1 less time and use plyers to pull it through. I reuse strings all the time.
