I mark the frets on my dulcimers.

Two reasons:
Number one; I’m old and forgetful.
Number two; All of my dulcimers have extra frets. Only the diatonic frets are numbered. To explain to people where the dulcimer began and it’s beauty.

@@dongrundy4239 I just bought a used dulcimer at an auction. It's frets were marked as you mark yours. Doing the half frets is just too busy!
