Great analysis Maresca is the goat. I didn’t even notice this new formation but I think you are correct if we had cover on defense we could be great

Enzo Maresca once said “we are born with this philosophy and we’ll die with this philosophy” generational manager. Great vid

The previous Chelsea managers under this new ownership have had the luxury of a massive budget, but weren’t able to create a tactically functional squad quick enough. Maybe Maresca has benefitted from those transfers, but he also brought in quality signings in Neto and took a chance on Sancho who looks good.
All in short, he might be the guy

I have a feeling he can be the first manager to last more than 5 years at Chelsea.

the last 4 managers also had to handle 48 injuries per season. not even comparable.
the last 4 managers litteraly had ¾ of the first 11 off the field the entire season.

@@Francis.....all those injuries came from manager lazy to rotate the squad brother, thats just casualty of what they can not do

Maresca is different from Pep, and he himself said he has work and learned under different managers, and from all ideas gained, he is doing his own style. The invented full back style we saw with Poch as well, but Maresca's idea is being understood well by the players, and injuries haven't been an issue like before.

maresca is the kind of manager who could innovate a 5-man midfield with a 4-man attack someday.

Nice video mate. I think if Chelsea insist on playing out from the back Sanchez needs to just pass the ball much quicker. He loiters and it’s infuriating, he’s not Allison or Edison.

@ recently I’ve been thinking……. Keepers already know how to make saves. Why not just get them to train as an outfield player with the under 21s or something.
