@@Nunyabiznessboi it looked goofy on John, too, dude. That was the gimmick. It was literally a talking point for heel promos. Same as the spinner belt, which I'm glad you liked, but I grew up in that era, too, and there's not a lot of people who DID like the spinner belt. And almost nobody spun the spinner, they mostly just kept fidgeting with it to keep the logo facing upright when they moved.
@@harleyjackson3708 Yeah no. I remember the reveal after he beat JBL and everyone went nuts. Even the spinner US title was liked. The belt was customized for his character at the time and instead of giving others their own or just reverting back to the original title when he lost they had everyone wear it until it was retired which I said made them look goofy because it didn’t match their gimmick/character. Of course it was a gimmick. Literally everyone and everything in WWE is a gimmick to sell their character and having a blinged out title for rapper/thuganomics Cena was fitting. You know how many replicas of that belt they sold? How many chain gang pendants and headbands they sold? Which btw were both apart of hip hop culture and streetwear at the time. The belt did what it was intended to do which was sell his character and merchandise.
Nah. He needs to win, especially for everything he's done for WWE. He needs to retire the same way Sting retired this year: as a champion. Perhaps against Rock for The People's Championship.

Being from Las Vegas, I’ll be attending WrestleMania to see John Cena one final time and sending it to the spirit of my friend. Thank you Cena and you too Anthony.
I just cannot believe this is it, we’re at the end of John Cena’s career. Feels like it was just 2005 and Chris Jericho brought out John Cena on the Highlight Reel after he was drafted to Raw. The huge pop the spinner belt, life was good. Now that will soon be 20 years ago and we’re fighting tears wishing that Cena didn’t have to go. I wish I could go back.
Man I remember that. Watched it live and it was in my hometown St. Louis! I just turned 10 and Cena was my favorite wrestler. I wish I could go back to those days it was so much fun! 😢
The spinner belt and "life was good" should never ever be used in the same sentence.
@@Gameboy-Unboxings Speak for yourself. I understand you may have been older but as a kid I loved it and loved it even more when I got a replica for my birthday lol. In the context of 2005 and Cena’s persona at the time as a hip-hop, street guy, it worked. They messed up by not having it exclusively for Cena because it looked goofy on anyone else.
My childhood lmao once I dressed up in full purple John Cena gear at wwe😢
His last match should be a last man standing match. Never gives up mentally but his body gave up in the end.
Nah. He needs to win, especially for everything he's done for WWE. He needs to retire the same way Sting retired this year: as a champion. Perhaps against Rock for The People's Championship.
His last opponent must be Randy Orton.
Last man standing matches are so lame though
It called getting old
