Good to see the nice weather on the first day of the year where you are. We are on holiday in the Alicante region, and its dry and sunny here as well. Again nice to hear about these developments for 2025, look forward to watching more from you and Scatz, welcome to 2025!
Another interesting video Chris and the weather looks great. Happy New Year to you and yours. A question: at 3minutes 20 into the video you pass a Stop sign that says Stop and not Alto. Why is that?
I think I can answer that. It was a move brought in decades ago to standardise signage across Europe, so it's the same everywhere. I noticed it in France years ago and thought it was strange because they're very proud of their language.
On producing my TIE card with my passport when travelling in and out of Spain my passport isn’t stamped, therefore how can I prove my length of stay? Like a lot of people my 5 years in Spain for permanent residency is later this year.
Hi Chris . Thank you for the lovely sunny video. We are planning to book a call to discuss NLV. Please will it be with yourself? Kind regards Tom & Josie Williams

I'm sure you have a tame lawyer who guides you. I'd really appreciate their insight into how the Spanish government has reintroduced exactly the same rule that the Supreme Court has said was unlawful. The SC ruled that the offending article (Article 162 - 2.e of RD 557/2011) was contrary to the organic law (Article 5.1 and 31 of LO 4/2000). (As an aside, this was nothing to do with the EU). The SC stated that if the government wanted such a rule, it must first introduce a parliamentary bill to amend the organic law. Yet it appears that the government, in introducing its latest secondary legislation (RD 1155/2024), has ignored the SC and reintroduced exactly the same rule. How?
We can assure you that no one on the Upsticks team is "tame". There is a long judicial process to pass and RD as we are sure you are aware.We have commented on your question in more detail in update 47

@youtoospain 😯 thank you Skatz. It just struck me as odd. Case explained, as they said in the army
Road signs here all use stop 🛑
@Upsticks I didn't realise that

In this case if you are missing passport stamps it's best to keep your proof of travel, boarding cards etc
thanks for another great video Chris. Is the golden visa still available?
@@marklindahones963 thankyou 😊 for now it is ! But the end is in sight just waiting for a definite date
Thanks for video. Regarding 10 months outside of Spain in the 5 years temporary residency. Does that Include all of schengen countries also?
Yes, it does. I'm into the 3rd year of my 5year temporary residency on the NLV. The key wording is "out of Spain".
