Love it you guys are hard core and love the fact you just get out there and do it no complaints just living in the moment exploring the world, it’s what life all about ;-)
I don't know what it is about your videos but they seem have a very calming and relaxing effect on me; I fall asleep must easier after watching them. Great work. 😄
We've tried to find the less populated areas, makes it easier to camp! Currently in Albania and it's been more of a struggle to get away from inhabited areas.
hah i actually saw you both on my Croatian vacation in city of Nin we rented bikes and cycled from Zadar it was super windy that day. I remember i was jealous of the ogre and thought your hat-helmet is pretty good idea. And half a year later youtube recommends me this video. Awesome! Small world! I hope that someday I will also dare to such an adventure.
No way!! That is awesome, such a small world! We remember that day very vividly, the ride coming down from the mountains to Zadar had such insane winds. Croatia is one of our favorite places, hope you had a great trip and glad you found us on the internet!
Great video story of your travels along this beautiful coastline. I would really love to travel this route in the not-too-distant future. Loved your video of the Loire Valley as well; I have heard many people rave about it but seeing your experience convinced me that it really is wonderful. On your camera gear list, have you left out the drone?
The Loire Valley was easily our favorite part of France. The cycle route was just spectacular, either a separate bike path or very low traffic back roads. And yes we left off the drone, it's a mavic mini 1, thanks for pointing that out!
Hoping to do this trip in September. Can you share how you found the off road routes or what you used for mapping? I plan to follow EV 8 but I’m guessing you veered from that to do your gravel and single track riding, Did you just wing that or did you have some other route mapping guides for the off road stuff?
The EV8 took a surprising amount of gravel roads, at least the version that we were following. We also took a handful of local Croatian cycling routes, which we found through the waymarked cycling trails network: cycling.waymarkedtrails.org/ We use OSMand+ for navigation with the cycling trail overlay activated, which includes the EV routes as well as tons of local trails. It is a really powerful app, and its cycling navigation is great too. There's a bit of a learning curve to using it but it's well worth the time. We absolutely loved Croatia, hope you have a great ride!
Loved watching your adventure! So brave. I’d like to cycle Croatia this fall but as a single woman, I’d prefer to join a small tour group. Any chance you know a local group for coastline Croatia?
We aren't familiar with any tour companies specifically but I'm sure there are some options out there! We saw a tour group cycling the Parenzana Trail on the Istrian Peninsula but can't remember the company... Sorry we can't be of more help, best of luck planning your trip!
She is always smiley, shy, cute and adorable. Love that girl... ❤️
Can't stress enough about the quality of the video and scenery! Just makes me want to hop on my bike with a backpack and leave all behind!
Go for it! It's been a great decision for us 👍
@@RollingExistence Not the correct circumstances I'm afraid...

Thanks! The sky was breathtaking that day.
Squirmy disc-pads at 10:10 ! So annoying! 😂
Looks like a beautiful country to tour. Will have to add it to the list!
Yeah our avid bb7s are very noisy and crappy sounding, but they are reliable at least!
@@RollingExistence I've had the same issue with my TRP spyres once and even a couple of times with Shimano Hydros.... 🤷♂️
I always thought Europe was jammed packed being the old country. Looks like a lot of nature.

Nice trip guys. What the bike do you use ?
We both have 2020 Surly Ogres with Rohloffs.
How many gears does your bikes have?
We've got Rohloff internally geared hubs, they have 14 gears.

What is your thesis on?
I'm finished with grad school for the moment, back to full time touring! When the trip is done I'll go back to school and select a thesis.
