Hey, great video! Could you do a video of all three of your MP5s? I'm looking at possibly getting one and I want know if there is any difference between the HK SP5, American clones, or foreign clones. It seems like you really familiar with the platform so I'd love to hear your opinion! Also does the rolled delayed buffer system work in any AR-15 platform, or only PCC AR style firearms?
I will sit down sometime this week and make that video. As for the buffer, it's designed for 9mm ARs specifically. The recoil impulse on a normal AR can be mitigated in so many ways (gas block, buffer weight, spring, adjustable bcg) that it doesn't seem necessary. That being said I would contact Scheel Manufacturing with specific questions.
very interesting to hear your thoughts on the different platforms. I've never heard of the Sheels buffer system before. What do you think about adding it to a PSA ARV? That would allow use of cheap/available CZ scorpion pattern mags but with AR controls. I want to give it a shot but there doesn't seem to be much info out on the Sheels system.
Brian, I see no reason why that wouldn't work. The ARV is still direct blowback and although the bolt may be cut a little different for the CZ mags, that shouldn't have any bearing on the rear of the system. The designer, Corey, is a USPSA GM and a really nice guy. If you have any detailed questions I'd send him an email via his website, Scheel Manufacturing.
I would be shocked if any gen1 mags were still in the supply channel, it's been a couple of years since the change. And if you proof they work, you can watch all the videos of me running them on the clock, it's the best evidence I have.
I've had Colt LE6991 SBR for 10 years now . I do not know why I have not ran ot in PCC match yet. Might have to knock the dust off that bad boy and run in at a MATCH

I’ve read real bad reviews on the ets
magazines for mp5. If i order one from brownells now, it should be the 2nd generation I guess?
