It happened to my channel for a bit but the comments were turned of by UA-cam due to others commenting inappropriate links or information when my channel is for kids as well as adults meaning UA-cam turned it of to stop younger people seeing inappropriate information

Fake videos have been surfacing UA-cam for years, I think they tried to take them down back in the day but eventually they gave up too many people doing it. Good shout out for the fake videos I thought I was the only one that noticed!
I use an extension I learned from Pleasant Greens channel called Fakespot. It's a must have extension if you buy a lot online, specifically Amazon but it works on a lot of major platforms.
Now it made sense why MKBHD always say "So, I've been using this device for 2 weeks now and here are my thoughts"

It's actually a really smart move on their part. There were controversies I completely missed just because they disabled comments. Their job is to advertise to you and it's a risk having other people sway your decision. We all know their comments would be a swarm of negativity and unfunny jokes about prices anyways do I don't even care they're disabled.

and the success of those fake reviews is fueled more by people looking for quick reviews. a lot of reviews fluff up their video length with intros, cinematic shots, and lengthy talks which make those fake reviews more attractive to watch for them

That's how youtube is working, fake thumbnails and all fake videos not only mislead the userbase but also demotivates someone who is genuinely working hard!
If you run across one of these channels, don’t leave any hateful comments, hit the dislike button even though it doesn’t matter, and then take the time to report the video. Misleading videos are against TOS, and without a useful dislike button, the report feature is the next option.
