I enjoyed the video. I was born at the Albany General Hospital in 1972 and lived in Albany until we moved to Southern Oregon in 1985. My grandparents have a historical home on Broadalbin St. directly across from St. Mary's Church. I liked that you captured The Depot Cafe! My Mom took us there in my childhood often. IMO, you won't find a better bowl of clam chowder or fish & chips anywhere. I also enjoyed seeing the homes and sidewalks I used to roam as a kid. Too many tender memories on those streets to list. The little canal you included was a common place we'd play - chase ducks - float toy boats - and just enjoy being young and full of life. Excellent video - thank you for sharing!
Ah, that is my hometown, and the houses were mostly run down when I left there. It's nice to see that people have taken an interest in preserving the historical structures. One thing though, the name of the town is pronounced all-bunny, old timers may dispute the pronunciation. it's like calling Oregon Ore-gawn
@openupfresh no. i dont know him personally. ive just seen him around town. ive seen him a few times by U.S. market. alot of people in albany have seen him around and or have heard of him. and im pretty sure hes homeless. so i dont think your talking about the same guy as "iskateforstreetmagic" mentioned.and i know that the guy in the video is who he was talking about.
There is a lot of creepy history in my town of Albany, Oregon. I've been on the trolley Terror and there was some really horrible things that happened along time ago. For me it was the witch house and nobody last long in that house in downtown. The story goes that they were cleaning a dirty mirror that had been there probably for years. Until one afternoon the witch made herself and then it got unleashed in the home after they broke the mirror. The evil resides in that house in Downtown Albany and it scares to know the fact has remained a mystery. It was a witch during the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials and my guess is someone put witch in the mirror to protect people from its evil intentions.

I heard the story. However, I didn’t find any credible sources .
Most people use the word haunted too lightly. Good video.
Albany is the 3rd largest city in Oregon.
@openupfresh hey man. this may help. go to the search bar. type in "CRACKHEAD JAMES". click the first video. is this the dude your talking about?
Damn, 10 years later and I see this ... unfortunately James has passed away about 4 years ago.. he was quite the character
She keeps mispronouncing the towns name.
it might be important if it was a town worth pronouncing right... Just sayin...
She can't even say Albany right. I live here so I can say it right. Albany is spelt A L B A N Y but it sounds like allbany
Learn how to say "Albany" correctly.
That was a poor representation of Albany.
