I hate reading these comments about Taylor having changed since Gossip Girl. like no s**t she's changed. she was fourteen here for f**ks sake, people change, she's twenty two now, it's been eight years what do you expect her to be? The exact same?

She's a badass and makes awesome music. I wasn't the same person 3-4 years ago, my style and attitude have both changed. I grew up girly as a child, then became a bit edgy and tomboyish later on, now I have a combination of both.
This is the first time I've seen her since the Grinch. It's almost like seeing an old friend or relative for the first time in years. It's crazy to see how much she's grown up.
Watched an interview of her when she was much younger... she was more articulate as a child, it's as if she's putting on an act when she speaks this way.
She says that "jenny is only a character she plays" but you can clearly see how alike they are in this video. Taylor definitely changed dramatically and for the worst.

We're the same age (she's a little less than a year older) and I too have grown immensely since I was the age in this video. Has it been as drastic as Taylor? No, I'm no badass rockstar nor near it, but my whole view of the world from 14 till now has changed. I wish I could be as confident as her and rock the clothes and makeup she does. Taylor represents to me a self-expression I wish to achieve (which is being my damn self). When I listen to TPR I get a little bit of that confidence and I feel comfortable in my own skin. Why does she need to be a role model? I find it interesting that people get upset at celebrity teens when they stop being little kids and start being adult, suddenly they are not good role models. As the father of four myself, I have never depended on a celeb to be a "role model" to my children. That is my job. Taylor, like many other entertainers are just that, entertainers. She, and Miley Cyrus and Britney etc etc needn't conform to your ideals. I think she is doing just fine.

She was only just turning 14 here and not even in High School yet. She was going into 9th Grade / Freshman year and coming out of Middle School. She was probably a loner once she got into High School but here she still had friendships. Teen years are complicated.
