A film distorting history is set to premiere in the Netherlands. It glorifies the 1959 armed rebellion in Xizang while ignoring the brutal reality of the old feudal serfdom-darker and crueler than medieval Europe. History cannot be rewritten. The 14th Dalai Lama was the supreme figure of this oppressive system.

It's utmost lucky & fortunate that Chinese Xizang is under the best care, preservation & protection from PRC now. PRC is really 💯 gives beauty, prosperity & happiness to Chinese Xizang. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

When I was in my teens I had read Seven Years in Tibet and had a free Tibet flag on my wall. Only years later that I started to understand class structures and led me to look into the other side of this story and was horried by what I found. People in US have free access to all this information because they are aware that most people wont look because they make it feel tabboo and dispicable to think of trying to understand the full context. I hope more in the US see content like this that shakes their certainty in the narratives we are brought up with.

What exactly is the "US narrative" on Xizang? How much could they possibly care about Xizang? You know, many loyal serfs fled to Nepal or went to Dharamsala. It's called "Political SCIENCE" because it's real. No matter how much any American thinks he is "against China" with regards to these events, we should expect American Adults to be working 24/7 to guide such a child and prevent him from being aggressive (even if that means isolating him from China).
There is ALSO a "children vs adults framework" now. It sounds too obvious for anyone to need to write it down, but i guess i just did.
So, what's next? Comparisons with analogous events in America's history?
Why do you take this stuff so seriously? Maybe you have high blood pressure or something. Why can't even just one of you go to a doctor?
You know, the weirdest thing is that Plymouth Rock wasn't even a colony, but they gained access to the colonies during the revolutionary chaos.
You wouldn't be a very good cop or judge in China because you would be too harsh.

@seanrowshandel1680 I don't know. I guess I just am against people owning others and treating them like animals. Don't know where you get the chill bro attitude when nothing I was saying was dramatic.

@MarvinRoman if you were a young Chinese boy with that mentality, you would indubitably be expected to eventually reach a point where you're grown up enough to have all of the rights of an adult, and not be overly focused on nuking other countries. It doesn't really add up in your case.
Pakistan and India have nukes, and even some of THEM appear to be adults (seeing as they never fired any). So it's truly a mystery what you're trying to do by bringing up these themes when introducing yourself to Chinese people, who already succeeded at tackling this problem in the best possible way.
Do you remember what it said in the video about when Xizang was freed? It might potentially make the USSR not look very good. You know, beyond Khrushchev's physical "Bostonian" appearance being scary, it appears as though there were actual horrific things going on.

@MarvinRoman and if you dare to allow Pakistanis and Indians seem "more like adults" than you or any other non-Pakistani and non-Indian person, you've got another thing coming lol. Mao prevented a war between china and them

@seanrowshandel1680 I am actually confused, I am not sure we are understanding each other very well.
I grew up in the US not in China and am trying to explain my misunderstanding of the situation growing up in the West. When I said there were horrifying things happening there I was referring to what was happening prior to liberation.

When President Xi visited Aotearoa he spoke of the material poverty he and others strove to overcome and we believe and see the awesome progress. This video stands to reason. Inescapable serfdom is inhuman. It would be right and strong to hear more from a range of our Tibetan sisters and brothers too, to understand their contextual view.

Serfdom is stll very much alive today. It just rebranded into capitalism. And them told us "we will own nothing n be happy"

    • @leponpon6935
      @leponpon6935 6 днів тому

Precisely. The western style capitalist oligarchy is trying to bring back serfdom to enslave us all by another name, by forcing violence on us all and yet at the same time telling us "violence is not the answer".

The social structure looks very much like the Indian caste system.
And the US is going in that direction.

The popular mystique of Tibetan society is only a part of the reality. From caste-based feudalism to sexual grooming within the priesthood to lampshades made of human skin, there is a lot that had existed even into the modern era and only recently disappeared, which is little appreciated.

If Tibetans are so happy in new Tibet, then why does China maintain a large army in Tibet ? Let the Tibetans leave the country, if they are happy they won’t leave. Why guard the border 24/7 and don’t allow ppl to visit Tibet, idiots ask these questions urselfs
