I liked your interpretation..its not about being naked but like wanting to see your loved one as their natural selves...not act the way they think the public wants them to act but for them to get away into the country and just be your natural self around each other...
I have the same interpretation - a stripped down version of the person and seeing them for what they are. I think them singing about seeing someone naked would be too obvious for these guys.
The line in the original Depeche Mode version is "Let me see you stripped down to the bone" but apparently Till had problems singing the "down to the bone" part so it was left out. The original line gives more context to the lyrics-let me see the real you, the you that isn't influenced by the media, politics, fashion etc. It's a sort of request to be open and honest with him is how I interpret it. The official video stirred up real problems for them when they used footage from a film called Olympia. Made in 1936, this was a documentary ostensibly about the 1936 Olympic Games, but was actually done as propaganda to celebrate the superiority of Nazi youth. Made by Hitler-approved director Leni Riefenstahl, there was so much anger about what Rammstein had done that Jewish organisations wrote in protest to the band. In fact, such was the focus on this part of the video, people actually overlooked the fact that the band appeared nude in it. It was one of the reasons why they wrote and released Links 2 3 4 to confirm that they weren't right wing at all, far from it.
but I really like your reasoning always! I like people who look for meaning in Rammstein songs because there is a deep meaning in them. Thank you for that
It is a cover from Depeche Mode.

Wtf depeche mode is a way better bad than rammstein. I love both bands but you can not compare this with depeche mode!
Rammstein version is much more energetic and beautiful ❤❤@@karlpfau470
