Been a member of Frontsight for 10 years. There was a group of us (LEO’s) that would go to there handgun courses to stay sharp. The instructors would push us and help refine our shooting skills. We would be allowed to shoot in our isosceles stance (weaver is a little dated). Although the concept was good the leadership (I.P) killed it and drained it for his own personal lifestyle. I hope new ownership will take over at this excellent facility and move on with training. We were lucky to be gifted our membership from other fellow LEO’s, as we would also gift ours to new cops. We never bought into his Ponzi scheme. I feel for those that spent thousands and hope someday that they can get their day in court and that I.P will someday face federal criminal charges.
This from the primary creditor concerning the use of lent funds:
Tax returns and financial statements of the Debtor reflected that in excess of $20 million dollars was disbursed to Piazza and/or his entities in the form of an interest free note receivable to shareholder and shareholder distributions. In particular, from 2016 to 2019, the Debtor paid in excess of a million dollars for luxury or antique cars and approximately $15 million dollars was disbursed to Piazza without indication of any apparent purpose or benefit to the Debtor
There are two sides to every story, but this bankruptcy is particularly messy.
I am a Front Sight Knight. I gave IP thousands of dollars over 8-9 years and attended 5 times. I answered "No" to the recent email and my account was closed in a matter of days. I'm completely lock out.
Well how 'bout that. 😠
@@TheLateBoyScout Apparently I should clarify....I WAS a knight...
you paid $25k+ for a Knight membership and they just gave you a boot without a courtesy call? wow i'm not that surprised really.
@@SPaladin-do8jg No I think the total I paid was approx $3800. I chose the $89/mo option and paid about 40ish months before the "restructure."
@@bgray2998 sorry to hear that, you shouldn't be treated that way. (There are other wretched examples that have been mentioned by others). Investors/developers pay attention to things like that; (if) whoever comes in will sweep the house clean and start over. Changing 'unwanted behavior' is much more difficult than a fresh start, though both are costly in the short run, only one way is successful for the long run.
Piazza has to go. Trust is entirely broken. New owners MIGHT deserve some support, but not sending him another dime.
Thanks for the video man great to see ya again can’t wait to see the new stuff.
Front sight is where I started my firearms training journey so I’ll miss it for that reason. I’ve always felt like it was a total ponsy scheme had fun while it lasted though. Their facility is pretty cool so it would be nice to see someone else buy it up and use it.
Greetings! I lost track of you over the years! YOU have come a long, LONG way since the first very positive "V-Logs" of your first course, more than 10 years ago. Thanks for taking folks through this 'maze' of rhetoric and the twists and turns of the 'plan' as it develops. Holding a "Knight" membership now (having never seen the attending gun, even after forwarding the shipping costs); with an additional 6,122 Founder memberships; 400 Legacy memberships; over 5,000 2 & 4-day training certificates; along with 354,309,709.37 Front Sight Patronage Points (too boot) in my account. I 'think' it is safe to say, the good times are history. I hold a 5-year 'note' to the tune of $2,500 that comes due this month, and now a creditor in the lawsuit for that small sum . It was great from 2008 thru 2017, and I attended more than 65 classes but I believe that it is likely all in the rear-view mirror now! Best to you .............
That's bonkers! Would you please send me an email detailing more of that? thelateboyscout@gmail.com
Just curious. I would think from your listing that you have spent somewhere between 10 and 20 grand to acquire the various aforementioned credits. You've attended more than 65 courses. I'd be really interested to know what your average cost for each of those courses would be. Assuming half are four day classes and half are two day classes, that represents approx. 200 days of professional training. Just assuming the 20 grand figure, and dividing it by 200, I arrive at a figure of $100 a day for your training (of course, could be a bit more or less if more than half of your courses were four day courses, or two day courses). Are you really that upset about paying $100 day for the level of training you got? Where would you get that level of training for a $100 a day at that level of facility? It's interesting to me, because I did the same math and figure I paid about $200 a day for my roughly 10 grand investment, and I don't feel short-changed at all. Just a thought. Maybe you'd feel a bit better about your grievances if you compared the obvious pleasure of your training at the rate you paid. I mean, you must have enjoyed it--more than 65 courses is a lot of attendance.
Went through this with a local gun club. I wanted to support them but when you make it hard for me to be a member because of your poor management ill just stop being a member and move on.
Those fees are insane. Sounds like a cult!! Plenty of other great instructors and places to train. Bye bye Front Sight!👋
The party is over. FS was far from perfect, and in some regards wretched; but it WAS also undeniably the BEST curriculum and training value for BEGINNERS to firearms. (The top end advanced classes leaved much to be desired). I believe the latest email from Dr P is the third iteration of the fee schedule...more than likely even more updates to come as they have to adjust fee$ even higher to match ACTUAL member participation to 'make the loan payments and have operational cash flow'. It will be interesting to see who takes this place over and what they do with it. Once you voluntarily give away your Rights, they are gone, and you are at their whim. Doesn't matter if it's 2A or your membership contract.
Live in Vegas, have been Commander Level member for a couple years... NEVER took a course...! I do like his Vision and his Patriotism, for what he had planned... Even though I am not into "Formal Training" I WOULD still support the Project any way I can...
We need more people that think like Him... What ever happens I hope Front Sight remains...
If this means the dam phone call spam stops then thank the lord.
Dam you are still making videos. Cool! I miss the krv and gun videos. Hope all is well.
Haven’t been there in many years. Good starting point for training.
Oh dang. I never did use my 2-day pistol course certificate.
good to see you back on. I'm afraid I trust iggy pizza about as far as I could though your motorbike. I am glad I went 3 times and while I will lose 4 certificates for 4 day courses I had planned on giving to friends I got my moneys worth long ago.
I am sure liability insurance and facilities cost have gone through the roof. The pricing however is untenable for your average firearms enthusiast. There are lots of more economical training out there for folks. Really though training is more about you practicing on your own time and repeating lessons learned through a variety of sources. 3 courses a year will not keep you proficient.
Other cheap inexpensive places to train you guys say. Like where? This was the Costco of firearms training, accessible to everyone of all income levels. It is too important of a facility to wish it vanishes. Omg!
Speaking for myself, I wish it wouldn't vanish. I planned to take my family there for many visits in the coming years, and if the pricing structure had remained as it was, like they promised, we would have done that.
Vid starts at 4:48. Whew
What a terrible business model. Outdated and replaced by better companies.
Don't forget $250 in gas when you go to a training
Front sight is old and outdated. There are much better training opportunities and ranges out there with better experiences for cheaper. Time to get rid of all the fudd ranges and programs.
Hi. Would love some recomendations.
A time sharing scheme? in the days and times were at right now, you would be better using that money to stock pile ammunition.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Sad times, but not surprising due to the current state of our country. Thanks man!
Love the guitar collection!
I recently gave those fools 1billion, gagillion, fafillion, shabolubalu million illion yillion ... yen.
I guess no refund
For me!
I had an opportunity to attend front sight a few years ago. I started reading thier rules. Based on the trigger pull rule. My trigger pull was to light. So I was like since my carry gun does not qualify for the class. I won't take your class.
Fud Sight
Terrible business model.
