ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

What the heck??! The world is truly a small place. I made that video a long time ago and recently it kind of blew up and now my favorite vocal coach on youtube is reacting to it?? Is this real life??
Thank you, Rebecca! This is so cool.
Also, I would like to say that I only added actors/actresses that I like and know can sing to the list. Obviously, more actors can sing.. I just made it for fun. (And I kind of regret using some of the actors here but yeah.. haha)
It truly is! Thank you poppet. Time to make a new one with all the new suggestions ☺
@JS 09 We said actors...
@JS 09 Hugh Laurie, Kevin Spacey)
@@ChrisPage68 omg, LMAO 😂🤣😂🤣
Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, one that might surprise you is Catherine Zeta-Jones! There's a whole list, please do make another video and why not make it a series? I really enjoyed this!
Why does Jack Black never get the recognition he deserves? That man has some pipes
Isn't it the other way round with him? Singers who can act?
@@darkiee69 School of Rock was pretty darn good
Oh I tell my husband all the time I loathe/love Jack Black he has sooooo much damn talent without even trying. He can just skip down an airport terminal and kill a rock ballad no music, straight vocals and kill it.... I'm truly jealous of him. I adore him.
Yeah apparently no one's heard of Tenacious D. Man is a legend.
J.B is just awesome. But to be honest he's not just an actor who can sing. He has a known career as a singer, doing lives and tours all over the world at the same time as he's doing movies. And he's great at both.
While we're talking about actors who can sing.... Taron Egerton performed Your Song together with Elton John at one of Elton's concerts two weeks ago and their performance was amazing. Taron's voice really shines in this and even Elton seems more emotional than usually. You should definitely check it out.
You should react to Jensen Ackles (from Supernatural) singing with Corey Taylor! You'll love it 💖
Yeah, please react to Jensen Ackles!
Yes, or "the best 10 songs of Jensen Ackles singing" by supernatural conventions would be a good one to react to.
@@henrichson8115 or, anything by Jensen, basically 😅❤️
@@hereandnow99 well some of the singing montages don't have good audio :)
@@henrichson8115 true
Jeremy Renner can sing!?!? Holy s**t! And Hugh Jackman was a huge musical theatre star long before he ever got the role of Wolverine.
I guess a lot of actors who train classically or go to drama school take singing as just a part of their schooling. In countries like Australia and England, where acting gigs are limited but musical theatre is huge, you NEED to have that skill if you want to survive in the business.
Umm he literally just dropped 3 songs for a new jeep campaign. He's always sang. He wanted to sing before he wanted to act or so he says.
It's really more unusual with actors who can't sing since putting "singer" on your resume opens up a whole new portion of the entertainment industry. It increases your chances of getting auditions and work.
Jeremy dropped an album but you can't hear him for the autotune. Which is a shame, because he has the pipes.
Thor Groot SweetRabbit which one? He doesn’t use much
ua-cam.com/video/SnQEt8Mmk2Y/v-deo.html
Kristen Bell began her career on broadway & had opera training, hence the good use of clarity, expression and vibrato :) she really does have an incredible and underrated voice!
Gwenyth Paltrow guest starred on Glee a couple of times and she is a good singer.
Amanda Seyfried was in Mama Mia and Les Miserables
Lmao. I was like she was complementing anne who literally died earlier in the film, while Amanda literally played her daughter who survived.
Jensen Ackles
Tom Ellis
That's all, please and thank you.
I agree with Jensen Ackles and I like him singing Simple Man.
Definitely Tom Ellis!
Tom Ellis is awesome...
Aww Tom yes! Creep, in season 4 that was good. They choose some great songs in that show. Lesley Ann singing wonderwall too 😮
What about Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix?
I have to say that the first time I saw "Moulin Rouge" and Ewan McGregor started signing, I fell out of my chair astounded at how gorgeous his voice was. And with the number of the Marvel cast that could sing, it was be hilarious for a "musical Avengers."
I loveee Robert Downey Jr. he is AMAZING so i wanted to say that he actually has a music album
I know the list said 23 Actors but I just want to include:
Amy Adams
James Marsden
Zachary Levi
Naomi Scott
Grant Gustin
Melissa Benoist
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Anthony Head
Jessie Buckley
Naomi Scott is awesome
Juliet Lewis
Hugh Laurie
Nathan Fillion
NPH aka Neil Patrick Harris
Felicia Day
Etc. etc.
I want to include Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil series, The Fifth Element, Hellboy II)
Hugh Laurie (House)
Jade Taylor (The Magicians)
Hale Appleman (The Magicians)
nicolas cage
I'd add:
Ewan McGreggor
Jared Leto
Jonny Depp
Anthony Head
James Marsters
Nicole Kidman
Jensen Ackles
Well, Jared Leto is the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars. I believe he was a singer before he got into acting.
And Brie Larson
Ewan McGreggor was literally the main character of a musical movie lmao. Moulin Rouge
add Emmy Rossum in there as well, she's a trained Opera singer
Nicole Kidman was in this one, just without sound.
Jensen Ackles can totally sing very well, most of his cast mates from Supernatural can but him especially
Yeah. I found out about Radio company and immediately bought the CDs when they became available. I had to get them shipped to the UK and pay tax etc, but it was totally worth it.
Scarlett Johannsen also played the part of the porcupine in the movie 'Sing'.
Ash is her name. She also sang in The Jungle Book, "Trust in me"! The song she did in "Sing" is "Set it all free".❤❤❤❤❤
Eddie Redmayne empty chairs is my favourite performance of that song. He just completely sells it emotionally and still manages to hit the notes its beautiful
skylark belle I can’t not cry while watching Empty Chairs at Empty Tables😥
Jamie foxx is actually a singer before actor. 👍🏻
iJemsy was **
I didn't even know he's an actor. I thought he's exclusively a singer😂😂
@@jessboo173 go back and watch "in living color"
@@jessboo173 wow, you must not have been to the movies in about 25 years then. lol
@@jamesliggins891 lol i'm not even 25 yet. I just rarely see him on the media and when i do, people introduce him as a singer so i had no idea he's also an actor
Can you react to the Supernatural cast singing? So many people from that show are fantastic singers!
Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Bell my favorite of this video. Anne Hathaway i knew could sing way before Les Mis bc of. Ella Enchanted
Seth MacFarlane doesn’t get recognition either he can sing pretty damn well
In several different voices even. Now that's a damn fine singer!
Amanda Seyfried is one of my most favourite actresses ever... I always knew she had a beautiful voice because when I was little I would watch Mamma Mia ALL the time with my grandmother ^w^
I think its weird that the video includes some people who started out doing musical theater.
Yes they do kinda not fit in a list like this.
@Alex C. Jamie Foxx started as a comedic actor. In living color and his own show the Jamie Foxx show
It's nice that even if it's not their main gig they still find time to practise and perform even as a hobby but t really lends authenticity to a movie musical or musician's biopi when the lead can really sing.
I believe Mr. Foxx did most of the singing when he played Ray Charles in a movie. He's talented in several areas! Awesome ❤
No idea most of these actors could sing so beautifully. I would have expected Keira Knightley to have a Smokey lower voice, but the airy bright tone was beautiful. I've been a fan of Robert Downey Jr's solo stuff since the noughts. I've always wondered about the twang- I wonder if he's singing in character.
Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor that may surprise people who can sing quite well. He was on broadway for Sunday in the park with George with Annaleigh Ashford.
I feel like quite a few of the people on the list were too obvious. Like most of the actors who were in Les Miserables and other movie musical films can sing, many also having started their careers on stage, like Anna Kendrick and Hugh Jackman.
Hugh Jackman has a voice of a Disney hero!
I think you’re wonderful. I love how you find nice things to say. It’s too easy to be critical.
Thank you Rebecca! Your videos always brighten my day. I absolutely love Zooey Deschanel's voice. Gives me goosebumps sometimes. And I knew Scarlet Johansson could sing, but I had no idea of the smoky, sultry, quality of her voice.
I'm absolutely crazy about Scarlett Johansson's voice. I even got an album and it sounds so freaking chill!
I'm quite surprised that the list did not include Amy Adams and Zachary Levi
Well Amy Adams is also known as a singer, as she did sing in Enchanted
Never judge anybody by how they look! They could have the most amazing gift ever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There are so many voices I want you to review 😭 I love watching you critique voices . I need to become a patron
How did they miss Emmy Rossum??? She's spectacular and had a solid career in the music industry, obviously Phantom, AND was killing it in movies & TV. Incredible talent, although it's not surprising so many of them are wonderful singers and actors since many get their start in theater. They had a musical episode of the CW superheroes (Supergirl, The Flash, etc...) and it was surprising how many of the actors were really wonderful singers.
4:45 "Absolutely SPLENDID" 😂😂😂 your videos always bring me such joy
Naomi Scott - SPEECHLESS in 'Aladdin' was truly phenomenal, utterly mesmerizing and simply breathtaking...
Loved Almost Famous. The part when they all start singing Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer “ on the bus always makes me smile.
Great vid! Love ya💜
I have never fallen victim to UA-cam binge syndrome until RVA, the best of the reaction video genre! Thanks for that :/. Wonder if it would be harder to find artists known predominantly as singers who have given acting a go??? Singers who can actually act? Love your magical transitions out of your intro and your uplifting outro messages. Hair is fine. You entertain...and you are about to be my first patreon contribution. Oh, thanks for that too...
Omg you make me laugh! Just sent you a message! You will fit in well there 😂💛
I literally love the consistency of this channel
Beautiful as ever, another great video!

Patrick Swayze: She's Like The Wind, Hugh Laurie:Unchain My Heart, both good.
I love your hairstyle in this one. You look amazing as usual, but the hair adds a fresh cuteness. Really enjoy your videos.
Love your videos! So entertaining and informative! Uplifting comments push you to the top!
Thanks honey
You should react to Tom Ellis singing on Lucifer. I love that scene when he sings Creep😍
Rose Beckett I loved that scene too! I was happy when I found out that he did all of the singing!
I love his versions of Sinnerman and All Along the Watchtower.
'An actors who can sing' Julie Andrews comes first in my mind..
You are so freakin adorable. Seriously. You seem like the kinda person you just couldn't be upset around, cause you're so bubbly and genuinely lovely.
Aww thanks 💖
Gosh i love you and your personality rebecca!
You should react to Joaquin Phoenix - Walk the line... The whole soundtrack is amazing
Yes 😍
No ewan mcgregor/ nicole Kidman?? Moulin rouge was a masterpiece
Nicole Kidman was in the silent(probably copyright issue) clip
kyle staples Moulin Rouge, probably one of my ALL TIME favorite films. Thanks for bringing it up, I'm adding "watch it again" to my ... TO DO LIST.
Yeah, missed Ewan McGregor.
Been a long time since I watched Moulin Rouge. If I ever feel the need for a good cry and need a trigger, I might go for that. It’s an excellent “cry film”.
kyle staples I heard they used auto tune for moulin rouge
Best Musical ever, cried many times the songs are key to tell the story
Loved the video. What a talented bunch. My favourites were Jamie Fox, Emma Stone and Scarlett Johansson.
You should look up some of Christopher Lee's singing, either his solo albums or guest appearances. Rhapsody - Magic of the Wizard's Dream, Charlemagne - Massacre of the Saxons or Bloody Verdict of Verden. The first one especially shows off the power in his voice really well.
Can you react to the one take musical things that James Corden does on his show? Emily blunt has done a couple and Anna Kendrick, it would be fun seeing what you think of all the different genres they cover whilst running from set to set. Thanks
I think being an actor/actress and being able to sing and/or dance is a great thing because it can widen your acting roles ( musicals, dancing videos etc )
Emily Deschanel, Zooey’s older sister who played Dr. Temperance Brennan in “Bones” can also sing! Just another ode to singing being genetic (in my mind lol)
Zooey did a great job of Baby It's Cold Outside with Will Farell in the movie Elf.
Zooey was in trolls to! She does Bridget❤❤
Now that Jensen Ackles and Steve Carlson are going drop album 2 soon, please give us a reaction to Radio Company! My favorite song is Drowning. The sheer power!
That was great, thank you Rebecca
Love that beautiful smile and your vids are awesome!
Early! Exited for this video 💕
Or excited? 😜
Rebecca,
I love your reactions, how passionate you are about singing, and your adorance of musical theatre. Going along with the theme of this video, I would love to see you do a reaction to the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Once More with Feeling". I don't know if you are/were a Buffy fan, if not I would gladly give you the background needed of the story to that point.
All of the cast come from such different backgrounds, classically trained, musical theater, rock and roll, and some never sang before the episode itself. I would love to hear what you have to say about it!
I just saw this video yesterday 😂 Such a talent 😍 Wish they had added more actors though, cuz there is a good amount of them who are phenomenal singers. Great reaction Rebecca 😁
So many to choose!💟☺
Wow this lady is beautiful I’ve never watched I voice vouch for thre hours on UA-cam but I can’t stop listening to her voice
That's so sweet 💖
Ok, this is the moment where you have to react to Faouzia. She is just.
Perfect.
Really love watching your videos!!!! Please react to Loic Nottet singing 29 live. He hits some notes that are almost close to whistle tones
I'm super happy you spent some time to describe Kristen Bell! I was curious how you describe that beautiful Disney picturesque voice using industry terms.
She's one of my favorite princesses along with Ariel and Jasmine, and when I first heard her sing in Frozen, I kept getting flashbacks of Ariel, cause her voice is so youthful and angelic like Jodi Benson. Kristen has that beautiful clarity to her tone and flawless vibrato that I just envy and think of when I imagine a Disney Princess, with Lea Salonga as Jasmine being another example. Such incredible resonance to their voice, and clarity. Yes, as a spiritual sage, I do love clarity: mental clarity and emotional clarity. I didn't realize that's also the word used for the voice as well. It makes sense though. It just clicked when you said it.
One actor I haven't seen mentioned is Val Kilmer. When he made the movie The Doors in 1991, the surviving members of the band listened to their original songs with Jim Morrison on vocals, and then listened to Val's voice for the movie and they could not tell a difference. He does almost if not all of the singing in that movie. Very impressive to me and too often overlooked. It's a wild movie but well worth the watch.
Ryan Gosling has his own band called Dead's Mans Bones! You should check it out, he does lots of work with children's choirs.. it's neat stuff!
How could that list forget Ewan McGregor!!! He was amazing in Moulin Rouge!
Good morning from Maryland USA ☀️LOVE when I can start my day with your lovely voice and wit🦋
Thanks lovley Carol
There are some (former) actors who have quite a successful career as musicians. Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley and her solo work), Juliette Lewis (Juliette & The Licks) and Jared Leto (Thirty Seconds To March) comes to mind. It’s nice and surreal to see them on music festivals for example. I absolutely love the voice from Zooey Deschanel; nice toning indeed, jazzy, warm. Of all the others, her voice enjoys me the most
surprised Tom Ellis wasnt in this... he sings so well it was written into his character on lucifer
the one that surprised me the most happened years ago when I heard Gomer Pyle turn into Jim Nabors you must not have heard him sing or he would have made the list, he was a great singer.💚
What a treat... You can almost tell which ones came from musical theatre in the way that they project. love the hair. Stunner. sol xxx
Hehe thanks I was worried I looked disheveled...☺
@@rva Magnifica
Love your videos. You are beautiful and have a great voice. Thank you
Rebecca, you should check out Ryan Goslings song, "Put Me In The Car". It will change your thoughts of his singing.
You're welcome.
Sending love from New Zealand 🎶❤
3:04 so related
"Life is a playground or nothing" , if you got where that quote comes from, you're literally one of my favorite people ever or whatever is said but anyways you're awesome.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!! ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO!!!
Thanks so much
I don’t know if anybody knows this but Johnny Depp can sing like an angel
Sweeny todd, into the woods are brilliant examples of Johnny’s vocals
Love your videos btw. And that accent? I could fall asleep to haha
I love your video's so much! You're amazing!!!
So are you ♥️
@@rva Aw thank you for responding 😊
I don’t particularly enjoy musicals so there were some real surprises for me here. Keep wearing the glasses Rebecca they suit you, you look super cute. 😊xx
You should definitely react to Jeremy Jordan - It's all coming back to me now(cover)
He's amazing!
I would really love for someoneto react to that
Omg yes!!!
Jeremy Jordan started on Broadway though didn’t he?
Kristen Bell has done musical theater and made her Broadway debut in the musical Tom Sawyer.
I love your emotions and facial expressions!!!
Daisy Ridley is also a really good singer too! She definitely surprised me. I know she isn't on this list but she did a cover of "At The Ballet" from A Chorus Line with Barbra Streisand and Anne Hathaway that I just find to be so beautiful. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
Yoo Robert Pattinson was fire! Did not expect that
You should react to Jensen Ackles singing he's really good!
I'm really impressed by these actors :)
love this so much!
Shout out to RDJ, you want to see some singing chops from him, check out the video of him on stage with Sting doing Driven to Tears. Hoo Lawd.
KRISTEN BELL is a freaking angel 😍
A bunch of those were *surprisingly* amazing! But the one that most grabbed me was Scarlett J.'s
'These Boots Were Made For Walking' piece - OMGosh! When she delivered that classic line
"These boots are gonna walk all over you!", I actually yelled out loud "Yes! That's It!" ... I've always
*loved* that song, with it's sassy tone (in both the lyrics *and* the melody)! And she just absolutely
*nailed It!* As good or better than *anybody* else's performance, and apparently doing it 'off the cuff'!
BTW, just before watching this I saw your 'responce' to the commenters piece - if you really felt that you
were somehow obligated to make that, I want you to know that at least one of your followers would
like to say ... you have every right to tell people who say something like 'how ignorant can you be, that
you don't know [whatever]!' ... just say "If I'm so horribly ignorant, you probably don't want to listen to
my pointless babbling, so just go to somebody else's channel!"
Also, having read about your past ... a Survivor's *S-A-L-U-T-E!* to you! I now have reason to respect you
even more than I did before, when the respect was about your personality, intelligence, talent, and nice
appearance! (And the accent isn't a negative, either!) I suspect your PT/Rehab process was at least
as long as mine (as it seems we both had *major* pieces carved out of us!); I hope & pray that you
have gotten to the point where any after-effects no longer cause you to have to unexpectedly ...
rearrange ... your days!
*Carpe Diem!* -- *Carpe Eternum!*
Never fail to amaze. Always have to stop by to see my favorite RVA. Please let us know when you’ll be on stage, I’ll start the line the day before for tickets! And as always luv what you do for us... #rvarules #neverstopsinging #rvaoriginals
Actors who can actually sing? We'll be the judge of th- oh, okay, yup they're pretty good.
What do you think about Hugh Laurie’s singing? Either his actual album or the A Bit of Fry and Laurie songs...
Best quote “ music and allow the world to be a better place!” Nothing has never been truer!!
I should not have been surprised at Eddie Redmayne, I did watch that movie, but he still blew me away!
One that was missing is Sarah Ramirez, who did a fantastic cover in the musical episode of Grey's Anatomy.
Scarlett Johansson did an entire album of Tom Waits covers that’s amazing.
With David bowie doing backing vocals too.
