What the heck??! The world is truly a small place. I made that video a long time ago and recently it kind of blew up and now my favorite vocal coach on youtube is reacting to it?? Is this real life?? Thank you, Rebecca! This is so cool. Also, I would like to say that I only added actors/actresses that I like and know can sing to the list. Obviously, more actors can sing.. I just made it for fun. (And I kind of regret using some of the actors here but yeah.. haha)
Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, one that might surprise you is Catherine Zeta-Jones! There's a whole list, please do make another video and why not make it a series? I really enjoyed this!
Oh I tell my husband all the time I loathe/love Jack Black he has sooooo much damn talent without even trying. He can just skip down an airport terminal and kill a rock ballad no music, straight vocals and kill it.... I'm truly jealous of him. I adore him.
J.B is just awesome. But to be honest he's not just an actor who can sing. He has a known career as a singer, doing lives and tours all over the world at the same time as he's doing movies. And he's great at both.
While we're talking about actors who can sing.... Taron Egerton performed Your Song together with Elton John at one of Elton's concerts two weeks ago and their performance was amazing. Taron's voice really shines in this and even Elton seems more emotional than usually. You should definitely check it out.
Jeremy Renner can sing!?!? Holy s**t! And Hugh Jackman was a huge musical theatre star long before he ever got the role of Wolverine. I guess a lot of actors who train classically or go to drama school take singing as just a part of their schooling. In countries like Australia and England, where acting gigs are limited but musical theatre is huge, you NEED to have that skill if you want to survive in the business.
It's really more unusual with actors who can't sing since putting "singer" on your resume opens up a whole new portion of the entertainment industry. It increases your chances of getting auditions and work.
Kristen Bell began her career on broadway & had opera training, hence the good use of clarity, expression and vibrato :) she really does have an incredible and underrated voice!
I have to say that the first time I saw "Moulin Rouge" and Ewan McGregor started signing, I fell out of my chair astounded at how gorgeous his voice was. And with the number of the Marvel cast that could sing, it was be hilarious for a "musical Avengers."
I know the list said 23 Actors but I just want to include: Amy Adams James Marsden Zachary Levi Naomi Scott Grant Gustin Melissa Benoist Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
I want to include Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil series, The Fifth Element, Hellboy II) Hugh Laurie (House) Jade Taylor (The Magicians) Hale Appleman (The Magicians)

@@jamesliggins891 lol i'm not even 25 yet. I just rarely see him on the media and when i do, people introduce him as a singer so i had no idea he's also an actor

Eddie Redmayne empty chairs is my favourite performance of that song. He just completely sells it emotionally and still manages to hit the notes its beautiful
Thank you Rebecca! Your videos always brighten my day. I absolutely love Zooey Deschanel's voice. Gives me goosebumps sometimes. And I knew Scarlet Johansson could sing, but I had no idea of the smoky, sultry, quality of her voice.
Amanda Seyfried is one of my most favourite actresses ever... I always knew she had a beautiful voice because when I was little I would watch Mamma Mia ALL the time with my grandmother ^w^
Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor that may surprise people who can sing quite well. He was on broadway for Sunday in the park with George with Annaleigh Ashford. I feel like quite a few of the people on the list were too obvious. Like most of the actors who were in Les Miserables and other movie musical films can sing, many also having started their careers on stage, like Anna Kendrick and Hugh Jackman.
I have never fallen victim to UA-cam binge syndrome until RVA, the best of the reaction video genre! Thanks for that :/. Wonder if it would be harder to find artists known predominantly as singers who have given acting a go??? Singers who can actually act? Love your magical transitions out of your intro and your uplifting outro messages. Hair is fine. You entertain...and you are about to be my first patreon contribution. Oh, thanks for that too...
No idea most of these actors could sing so beautifully. I would have expected Keira Knightley to have a Smokey lower voice, but the airy bright tone was beautiful. I've been a fan of Robert Downey Jr's solo stuff since the noughts. I've always wondered about the twang- I wonder if he's singing in character.
Yeah, missed Ewan McGregor. Been a long time since I watched Moulin Rouge. If I ever feel the need for a good cry and need a trigger, I might go for that. It’s an excellent “cry film”.

You should look up some of Christopher Lee's singing, either his solo albums or guest appearances. Rhapsody - Magic of the Wizard's Dream, Charlemagne - Massacre of the Saxons or Bloody Verdict of Verden. The first one especially shows off the power in his voice really well.
Emily Deschanel, Zooey’s older sister who played Dr. Temperance Brennan in “Bones” can also sing! Just another ode to singing being genetic (in my mind lol)
How did they miss Emmy Rossum??? She's spectacular and had a solid career in the music industry, obviously Phantom, AND was killing it in movies & TV. Incredible talent, although it's not surprising so many of them are wonderful singers and actors since many get their start in theater. A bunch of those were *surprisingly* amazing! But the one that most grabbed me was Scarlett J.'s 'These Boots Were Made For Walking' piece - OMGosh! When she delivered that classic line "These boots are gonna walk all over you!", I actually yelled out loud "Yes! That's It!" ... I've always *loved* that song, with it's sassy tone (in both the lyrics *and* the melody)! And she just absolutely *nailed It!* As good or better than *anybody* else's performance, and apparently doing it 'off the cuff'! Rebecca, I love your reactions, how passionate you are about singing, and your adorance of musical theatre. Going along with the theme of this video, I would love to see you do a reaction to the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Once More with Feeling". I don't know if you are/were a Buffy fan, if not I would gladly give you the background needed of the story to that point. All of the cast come from such different backgrounds, classically trained, musical theater, rock and roll, and some never sang before the episode itself. It'd be great to see something like this with tv actors cause there are a lot that can sing really well like Jensen Ackles, Josh Dallas, Colin O'Donoghue, Janel Parish, Wayne Brady, Sabrina Carpenter, Emilia Clarke, and much more
Now that Jensen Ackles and Steve Carlson are going drop album 2 soon, please give us a reaction to Radio Company! My favorite song is Drowning. The sheer power!
One actor I haven't seen mentioned is Val Kilmer. When he made the movie The Doors in 1991, the surviving members of the band listened to their original songs with Jim Morrison on vocals, and then listened to Val's voice for the movie and they could not tell a difference. He does almost if not all of the singing in that movie. Very impressive to me and too often overlooked. It's a wild movie but well worth the watch.
the one that surprised me the most happened years ago when I heard Gomer Pyle turn into Jim Nabors you must not have heard him sing or he would have made the list, he was a great singer.💚
Daisy Ridley is also a really good singer too! She definitely surprised me. I know she isn't on this list but she did a cover of "At The Ballet" from A Chorus Line with Barbra Streisand and Anne Hathaway that I just find to be so beautiful. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
I'm super happy you spent some time to describe Kristen Bell! I was curious how you describe that beautiful Disney picturesque voice using industry terms. She's one of my favorite princesses along with Ariel and Jasmine, and when I first heard her sing in Frozen, I kept getting flashbacks of Ariel, cause her voice is so youthful and angelic like Jodi Benson. Kristen has that beautiful clarity to her tone and flawless vibrato that I just envy and think of when I imagine a Disney Princess, with Lea Salonga as Jasmine being another example. Such incredible resonance to their voice, and clarity. Yes, as a spiritual sage, I do love clarity: mental clarity and emotional clarity. I didn't realize that's also the word used for the voice as well. It makes sense though. It just clicked when you said it.
I think being an actor/actress and being able to sing and/or dance is a great thing because it can widen your acting roles ( musicals, dancing videos etc )
The reaction was fun, but you know what was more fun? Your ending pep talk and "I didn't check my hair before this video... Oh well, it's done now!". Had me laughing
You've reacted to harry and zayn's best vocals but what about the other 1D boys??? PLEASE react to 13 times Niall Horan's voice left us breathless 🎤🎤🎤💗💗💗
yes!! to robert pattinson being on this list. i REALLY wish he’d come out with some music, but he has to do it when he’s comfortable. what he does have out, is some of my favorite music i always come back to
Greatness to hear people sing that you've never heard sing ❤️ I adore Anna Kendrick 😍 Some of my favorites: Emmy Rossum (WOW) and Patrick Wilson in Phantom of the Opera (Gerard Butler was pretty good) Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rene Zellweger and John C. Reilly in Chicago Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge Martin Short in Three Amigos All time favorite: I knew who Lady Gaga was and had heard her pop music, but I never knew the extent of her talent until she sang the Sound of Music tribute to Julie Andrews at the Academy Awards a few years ago. Completely mind blowing 🤯 Love your videos and insight into music and singing, Rebecca! You are truly special! Love to you and Suki 🐱❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
3:04 so related "Life is a playground or nothing" , if you got where that quote comes from, you're literally one of my favorite people ever or whatever is said but anyways you're awesome.
Michael Ball is the only Marius for me❤️ I love Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Hugh Jackman...there are others I love as well but those are the three that stand out to me. Not sure if you've ever seen the cartoon "Sing" but Scarlett Johanson's porcupine character sings a song at the end called "Set it All Free" I believe and I just LOVE it. Such a great song. Huge hugs and love to you xoxo❤️*Jessie*
chatGPT: Ah, I see what you're referring to now! You are correct. Robert Downey Jr. did release a song called "River" about skating on Christmas Day. The song is a cover of Joni Mitchell's "River" and was featured on the 2000 holiday album "Ally McBeal: A Very Ally Christmas," which is a soundtrack from the TV series "Ally McBeal" in which Robert Downey Jr. had a recurring role.
OMG There's a few people who needed to be on here. Johnny Depp - Sweeney Todd, check out either "Epiphany" or "Pretty Women". You get the bonus of ALAN FREAKING RICKMAN singing, and both of their voices together are absolute magic.
EXCUSE ME MADAM, you cannot just throw RDJ singing at me like that with no warning! I have to mentally prepare for that tone and I was NOT READY. In all seriousness, though, as others have mentioned, **please** check out him singing with Sting (either on Ally McBeal or on "Driven to Tears") and his amazingly fantastic album called "The Futurist". Great video, loved your reactions!

Gwenyth Paltrow guest starred on Glee a couple of times and she is a good singer.

Ewan McGreggor
Jared Leto
Jonny Depp
Anthony Head
James Marsters
Nicole Kidman
Jensen Ackles
Well, Jared Leto is the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars. I believe he was a singer before he got into acting.

Ewan McGreggor was literally the main character of a musical movie lmao. Moulin Rouge
add Emmy Rossum in there as well, she's a trained Opera singer

You should react to Jensen Ackles singing he's really good!
I think being an actor/actress and being able to sing and/or dance is a great thing because it can widen your acting roles ( musicals, dancing videos etc )
Actors who can actually sing? We'll be the judge of th- oh, okay, yup they're pretty good.
Hugh Laurie’s albums always get me. If you have never heard his albums give it a listen of a song one of these days.
surprised that most of the cast of the movie version of Phantom of the Opera didn't make on this video.
You are so freakin adorable. Seriously. You seem like the kinda person you just couldn't be upset around, cause you're so bubbly and genuinely lovely.
Aww thanks 💖
Yoo Robert Pattinson was fire! Did not expect that
The reaction was fun, but you know what was more fun? Your ending pep talk and "I didn't check my hair before this video... Oh well, it's done now!". Had me laughing
Scarlett Johansson did an entire album of Tom Waits covers that’s amazing.
With David bowie doing backing vocals too.
Best quote “ music and allow the world to be a better place!” Nothing has never been truer!!
Love your videos btw. And that accent? I could fall asleep to haha
this video was incredible, but what got my attention was your hair
You've reacted to harry and zayn's best vocals but what about the other 1D boys??? PLEASE react to 13 times Niall Horan's voice left us breathless 🎤🎤🎤💗💗💗
yes!! to robert pattinson being on this list. i REALLY wish he’d come out with some music, but he has to do it when he’s comfortable. what he does have out, is some of my favorite music i always come back to
Hello! Dimash has a new performance "Olympico". Look, you will not regret for sure. It was 🌋🌋🌋🔥🔥💥💥
Greatness to hear people sing that you've never heard sing ❤️
I adore Anna Kendrick 😍
Some of my favorites:
Emmy Rossum (WOW) and Patrick Wilson in Phantom of the Opera (Gerard Butler was pretty good)
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rene Zellweger and John C. Reilly in Chicago
Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge
Martin Short in Three Amigos
All time favorite: I knew who Lady Gaga was and had heard her pop music, but I never knew the extent of her talent until she sang the Sound of Music tribute to Julie Andrews at the Academy Awards a few years ago. Completely mind blowing 🤯
Love your videos and insight into music and singing, Rebecca! You are truly special! Love to you and Suki 🐱❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💛♥️
Kristen Bell has done musical theater and made her Broadway debut in the musical Tom Sawyer.
3:04 so related
"Life is a playground or nothing" , if you got where that quote comes from, you're literally one of my favorite people ever or whatever is said but anyways you're awesome.
Shout out to RDJ, you want to see some singing chops from him, check out the video of him on stage with Sting doing Driven to Tears. Hoo Lawd.
if the clip of ansel singing on the late late show isn’t on here i will cry
KRISTEN BELL is a freaking angel 😍
OMG There's a few people who needed to be on here. Johnny Depp - Sweeney Todd, check out either "Epiphany" or "Pretty Women". You get the bonus of ALAN FREAKING RICKMAN singing, and both of their voices together are absolute magic.
Sending love from New Zealand 🎶❤
Val Kilmer sang all the songs in "The Doors" movie too! He does a great Jim Morrison!!
Scarlett Johansson is one hell of a singer, her voice is awesome 💖
What a treat... You can almost tell which ones came from musical theatre in the way that they project. love the hair. Stunner. sol xxx
Hehe thanks I was worried I looked disheveled...☺

Jamie Fox is amazing, you should watch him singing opera on Jimmy Fallon Musical Genre Challange
I think Anne Hathaway's best song she's sung is "I Dreamed a Dream"
Love your videos! So entertaining and informative! Uplifting comments push you to the top!
Thanks honey
I’m a musician, and while I sing, mostly harmonies, I’m partial to soul. Jeremy renner, Jamie foxx and zoey were the best imo
I was already very familiar with James Corden as an actor before "Into the Woods", but I absolutely fell in love with him when I saw "Into the Woods".
