    • @Morgan-go6ns

      pretty sure their car's horn was taken out. Do they have the stock wheel still? plus i'm just guessing it didn't work since they didn't use it for the three honk instead of yelling, that's why the other dude kept jumping.

      I get where you're coming from Edwin, even the jumping aside though you could tell the dude is doing everything he can to win. If you've ever roll raced you'd know how annoying it is when you clearly have a faster car and the dude gets the jump an right away cuts on his hazards or steps on the brakes.

      David Medvedev It's impossible to hear, he probably thought he was yelling "go" or maybe just saw the motions of his arm thinking that meant go.

      Water freezes - oddly enough, people live in environments where it does freeze regularly. Having water in your washer fluid reservoir (and heaven forbid your engine coolant) is a recipe for disaster.

    Dont reweld the valve cover. Take it off and baffle the AN fittings you put on there so oil doesn't enter the hoses when you slosh the oil. Also, weld a couple 1" piped on the top of the catch can to put filters on it so less oil film gets in your bay.

    I've never been into Hondas or imports (I respect the fast ones, just not my thing), but DAMN I love watching this hatch decimate everything it lines up against. Kyle, have you ever raced a car that was truly faster than yours? Sure, you've lost due to missed shifts, getting jumped, or spinning, but when both cars are hooking up and going, your hatch appears to be faster than everything you've ever lined up against. Keep it up!

    your getting a lot of blow by! ive had the same problem. when i would change my oil it would be runny with gas in it. my catch can would look like yours, oils spraying out and covering everything. it will get worse, the oil will soon be tan with gas in it and there will be a lot of crank case pressure. trust me ive been down this road with my turboed ef, replace the rings and hone the cylinders

    what type rings are you running? with that much blow by? don't they make zero gap rings for these engines? I have even heard of ppl using part of the oil ring. and widen the ring lands. pur the 2 ring in with the gap on one side and a oil ring in with the gap on another side. that way you got clearance and no gap.but I never tried it.

    • @jamest.5001
      @jamest.5001 7 років тому

      +Bruce Wayne
      I was asking if they ever raced any cars with a v8 engine. the thing with a 4 cylinder only a few cylinders. is a 4 cylinder foul 1 plug you loose between 1/4-1/2 the power. with a v or w12 you loose 1/12 or a little more of the power. but true cylinders don't matter. its ratios. power to weight ratio. I have always had v8 cars. but just think if they made a v8 that had all the benefits of the heads of the 4 cylinders. multiple valves. over head cam. variable lift, duration. and timing. with the cid of like a LS engine. plus the boost that would be awesome. but I was just wondering if they had any races with any v8 cars.

    • @jamest.5001
      @jamest.5001 7 років тому +1

      +Gregory Plauche
      what I was trying to say was basically if you loose a cylinder for any reason. burn the electrode off the plug. or burn a valve. with a 4 cylinder you loose over 1/4 of the engines power. you never know when something may happen . costing you a race
      if you have more cylinders you loose less power. if you loose a cylinder. but I like v8 tq. but also anything fast!

    • @BradGryphonn
      @BradGryphonn 7 років тому

      You should try running your V8 with one spark plug not firing. You lose a lot more than 1/12th or 1/8th. Just sayin'

I'm still building my stock black 95 dc4. suspension problems still have to press in oem koyo front wheel bearings, Switch to manual rack & pinion, tires and alignment. I hate how my holset wh1c just sits in my room lol😢.

    Hey BoostedBoiz you guys have inspired me to start a hatch build, about how much would you say your red civic has cost you in total? and about how much would around 400whp be on an H series?

    if you have gas in your oil most often it means youve got a head gasket leak

    It was the torque on the h22, vs the 1.8. Also more liters on that h22. But dang the 1.8 keeps up. What compression was that guy running on. I know he said JE pistons and Eagle rods.

    For adding oil, pour it out of the jug with the jug sideways. You'll get closer to the funnel and be more accurate

    Multi-grade oil is actually thicker when warm, just saying. Draining a cold engine is fastest. 10W-30 the W stands for "winter" and means it's viscosity is 10(thinner) at 0°C and 30(thicker) at 100°C.

    Jesus, someone that actually warms their engine up before changing oil! Helps it drain out of all the little passageways inside the engine too so you actually get most of the gunk out.

    pro tip - turn the bottle of oil on its side when you pour it in like that much easier and less spillage possibility
