I sailed around the world for 6 yers and I saw a lot of beauty. I have seen all the beauty my country, Norway, can provide. But the beauty i see in this vlog tops everything! This is the definition of beautiful And she likes beer!😊
We discovered Eggen place because of you. It was not on the Norway trip until I discovered your channel...thank you so much as the view is one of my favorite places in the world.
Your happiness is very evident with your eyes lighting up with the view at Eggen, topped with the IPA then the salmon lunch 😊 Very contagious! I’m smiling too. Really lovely 🥰 Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Your channel is very interesting and you present your destinations in an informatively different but very pleasing visual way. Love that. Fun to see you stayed only 40 meters from my childhood home and I even recognized the reddish brown fured cat😊 I agree with you about the view 🏔 It is quite breathtaking, even for the locals. And it's easy to see that you really enjoyed your stay here. For your information, Åndalsnes (and many other Norwegian towns) was more or less razed to the ground during WW2. The rebuilding of the town naturally took a few years. If you ever return, Geiranger, Trollstigen and the coastal area (Ålesund / Molde / Atlantic Ocean road) are must-see places. Lofoten in Nordland county and the island of Senja in Troms county are also a must-see and preferably in good weather. 🫶😊
Thank you so much!! Yes I'm planning to return some day. I didn't plan well enough and only learned about Geiranger and Ålesund after I arrived from talking to another traveler. I definitely have to return to experience midnight sun 🌞
Many years ago spend some time around the Lofoten Island. It was magical then and I hope to travel up there again and beyond in my campervan. Norway is a truly beautiful country with some wonderful peoples.
Thank you for this breathtaking video! Looks like you had a good time. :-) I spent my first 16 summers in Åndalsnes but have hardly been back since my grandparents passed. Very interesting so see how much things have developed - but the views are just as beautiful 💙
Hi! thanks for sharing this beautiful footage. How was your hike down from Eggen Restaurant to the Rampestreken viewpoint? Planning to visit next year (April) with my parents (seniors).
The hike down can be challenging as there are some steep parts. It can be hard on the knees. In April it might still be cold with snow. I suggest you use the gondola to go up and down. If you want to see rampestreken, you can take your time hiking down from the top of the restaurant, then hike back up to take the gondola down. All the best and wish you good weather when you visit!
Inspired to come here after your vlog, thank you! May I know where did you stay? I’m having a hard time finding accommodation which is central and has a kitchen 😅
Hi Crystal! I found my accommodation on Booking.com. Search for "Cozy Basement Apartment" in Andalsnes. It is an 18 minute walk from the Andalsnes train station. I stayed for 2 nights. It was modern, had a kitchen, and heated floors. If you can't find it, try adjusting your dates, or staying at a different place each night. Alternatively, you could try to find accommodation in Dombas and take the train into Andalsnes for a day trip (it's 1.5 hour from Dombas). Try searching 3 months ahead. Some apartments don't open up their availability until 2-3 months beforehand. If you're booking more than 3 months ahead, availability will be fuzzy, unless they're actually fully booked.
Im so happy that you like that place that i live in! Edit: my bestfriends father is a manager on the gondol Edit 2. : But i have a question. Did you go and visit the soccer field?
450 NOK for a round trip by the gondola? As a Norwegian, I'm used to steep prices, but imo, that's too much. Wouldn't do it if I ever return to Åndalsnes (yes, I've been there a few times, before the gondola opened). There are PLENTY of of view points in the region that are free, ie at the top of Trollstigen.
It's easy because the weather was nice. If it was raining, I think I'd be slipping and sliding 😂 just wear grippy hiking boots with traction and take your time. Don't rush.
You must come to England and experience our keg beers, often 'guest' beers are offered in the more traditional Pubs. Can't say we can match the landscape though, but you can eat well, too, while enjoying your pint! Love your videos!
I stayed in a rental basement apartment found on Booking called "Cozy basement apartment". I walked around Andalsnes, it is very small and walkable. I took the train from Oslo to Andalsnes.
@@priyarajize Yes, you get off the train onto the same platform that you get on the next train. You don't have to change platforms. The station is very small.
@priyarajize I think all sides are nice. The hike is easy if it hike every day, but if you’re not used to hiking elevated ground, it might be challenging. I did not go to Trollstigen
Your videos are great. What is your job.I am 17 years old in Sri Lanka. Our language is Sinhala so I don't know much English so if you can please send me some links of English teaching videos.I hope we can meet sometime.

Hiked Rampestreken in 2019. A wonderful part of Norway. Don’t remember seeing the Gondola 🚠 or restaurant then. Is it new? Looks amazing.
Yes the gondola and restaurant opened in 2021 😄
Spectacular!!! You lucked out on the weather.
Yeah no kidding! The first day there it was cloudy up top, but the next day it was clear and sunny and breezy. Could not believe my luck!!😄
Amazing video, lovely girl too. 😊 7:08 I think that is the famous Troll Wall!
Oh cool! Thanks for pointing that out 😄

I live here ... well, Isfjorden, and we see Nesaksla from our window every day. Too bad we missed you, but so glad you enjoyed yourself :D
I never see mountains in my hometown, so Nesaksla is a new sight for me 😄 breathtaking
I love the video. I LIVE IN NORWAY!!!!!!!

@@BadSloucherYou mentioned that you went up for a drink at the mountain top bar to soak in the views, what’s the name of the bar? 😊
Eggen Restaurant! You can access it by hiking 2 hours up to it, or spending around $50 for a round-trip cable car ride 😅
Im so happy that you like that place that i live in!
Edit: my bestfriends father is a manager on the gondol
Edit 2. : But i have a question. Did you go and visit the soccer field?
I didn't! But I saw it from above 😄 I'll check it out the next time I visit again.
