Ridging Beds and Sowing Endive / Chicory | 2x John Deere 6155R Trike Tractors | Loonbedrijf SvZ

- Large-scale endive cultivation, also known as chicory. Ridging of chicory beds using three John Deere 6R of which two are equipped with GML nose wheel and self-build 6-row rotary hillers. We also see the sowing using three combinations on this 26 hectare field.
Compared to a standard two-tracked tractor, a trike setup can distribute the weight of the tractor more evenly across a wider area. This can help to reduce soil compaction, especially on softer soils. That results in an even growth of the plants.
Thanks for watching!

The integration of agriculture technology in this video is impressive. It's clear that innovation is key to farming's future.
Those trike tractors are cool. I like the fact that the front tires attach to the three point hitch and you leave the original wheel hubs there. That way you can switch between a trike and normal tractor whenever needed.
what is the utility of a trike tractor? i dont know why they do this
@@RafaelDzRead the description of this video. It answers your question.
a giant machine that harvests crops
never seen that John Deer tractor mod. Oh boy this is the tractorspotter channel I subscribe to that explain things. Here you get see all kinds of unique vehicles.
Ongelooflijk knap in beeld gebracht weer. Mooie video!!
I have been following for 6 years
The Tricycle front end is more controlled and percussion in steering. And is GPS controlled! Hilling and tamping soil in just the right soil moisture content, before the rain! A awesome tractor!
Great video as ever!
Heel mooi gefilmd 👌🏻
Love my jd tractors let’s keep it green yall
Very excellent.
👍👍
Great video as ever*
Amazing amazing footage per usual..cheers 🥂
Nice ❤❤❤
Ого!
Mooie video met prachtige machines!
Were all these tractors from just one farm? If so that's a big farm!
I think it’s a contracting business
@@Dennis.56yes it is
Well done and thanks for not adding any dramatic background score
Right? Hate that stuff
Whats the benefit of a tractor like this where the axle is more in the Front?
Presumably even soilcompactification, same preasure the width of the tractor
I don’t drive a machine like that, but I understand driving longer farm equipment. Some other folks maybe need to drive a rig like that. 👍🇦🇺👍
It's mentioned in the subs: to spread the weight over a wider area. And because the wheel can pivot 180 degrees it can steer within the circle of the tractor's length
When the axle is located more in the front, the tractor will be able to distribute weight better, helping to increase traction and stability during travel. This is especially useful when working on rough terrain or when towing heavy equipment. In addition, the fact that the vehicle axle is located more in the front also improves turning ability and flexibility, helping the driver easily control the tractor in narrow spaces or when needing to perform complex operations.
Zijn dit ruggen van 50 cm ?
Ja klopt
What's the idea of the extended tractors
To achieve the most uniform crop as possible (moment of emergence, length and thickness of the root spike), conditions must be as equal as possible across the entire width. So not 2 wheel tracks and partially unridden in the middle. That's why the front wheels move to the center. There is no room under the tractor. That's why they move to in front of the tractor.
whats the reson for having those nose extensions ?
they want to have equal soil compaction (across the width of the planter)... so they squeezed the front tires together. essentially making it a solid roller. Then of course, the only place they'd fit, is out front.
fancy!

hmm, maybe one of these days you will show the process of making these kind of videos
as always, keep up the good work
Handig dat extra trapje om de gps er af te halen zonder je nek te breken

You're right! I will change the title. Thanks!
A lot of perfectly good productive soil wasted, due to those huge headlands.
I appreciate that's probably to accommodate the turning radius of those John Deere trikes, but even so. Land, like time, is something that's not made anymore, so you'd think this organisation would want to maximise the potential yield, by using every spare bit of land !
Don't worry. Not a single meter of soil will be wasted. They seed it after finishing the main part of the field.
@@user-bo8pi1vd3o I realised that after I finished posting my previous comment - silly me.
Amazing how they are able to line up their bouts so precisely, when the initial trikes have to miss out every second bout, due to thier large turning radius.
Aided no doubt by sattelite navigation and or an RTK (Real Time Kinematic) system ?
