I think the biggest reasons are 1 The casuals don’t care about rec/proAM scene. The game is boring to watch in general. All teams run is 5 Out, the same animations and tactics thus it’s stale as hell. 2K fails to make different play styles and builds comp
Like i said before 2k 5v5 now is nothing but highschool basketball shell offense with zone defense court too small the energy of what makes basketball fun to watch isnt in 2k and tbh thats on the community a lil more than 2k if 2k made the court bigger let pros have real builds no presets and broadcast the game from a spectator angle it could help but tbh 2k needs to just go straight arcade and just read the room cuz mfs want that (i dont) but that'll give someone else a chance to have a more realistic basketball game because trying to mix cheese and realism + slapping skill gap on it IS IMPOSSIBLE for a sports game i stopped running 5v5 when i realized the community only likes basketball because they love 2k and i only play 2k because i love basketball thats just me tho
