I grew up with this...this show was my Gateway to all types of Music 🎵🎶... When they went into Latin and New Orleans Jazz...that would be my Night... This never gets old... back in the day i would record everything when Music 🎵🎶 was on TV..that was back than now 50 years later we have everything on the Internet...back than it was tapes... very amazing how things changed...this time for the better.. just to see this.....we had the best ❤..
these magnificent 20 songs were deep in my heart, frankly speaking they’re great. Lawrence Welk one of my favorite program. It doesn’t matter what time went by. Thx for the uploading.
Just when you thought you heard it all, right!? 🙂 Of course, ABBA was perhaps the best selling band in the world at the time this episode aired. With Fernando' being the extra (added) track to the 'Greatest Hits' (vol. 1) album compiled the previous year of earlier songs, no surprise that the sisters sang it, likely fans themselves. Interestingly enough, when the '70's show aired a year later after this one, Fernando was not brought back, or any other ABBA song. It would have been AWESOME if Anacani did a duet of 'Hasta Mañana' with Kathie!
Since this was a polka show, you’d figure this would all be Norteño music. Unfortunately seems the rest of the country was still culturally less educated at this point. - A Texan.
Several racist stereotypes that were very "normal" back then. I don't think anybody would dare to do something like that today in 2022. And "Cachita" is a Cuban SON, not a "Mexican SAMBA", Samba is a Brazilian rhythm. Then, Ernesto Lecuona was a CUBAN composer, not Mexican.
It's the most beautiful show I ever seen. Thank you 💕 ♥️ 🌷
What a delightful show! Not a wasted moment! Pretty and colorful! They all look like they were having so much fun!

Mexico's Finest, Anacani.
Lawrence did pretty good on #20 for being 74 years old
Even when he was in his 80s, I am amazed at how agile he was!

Nice. Though its depiction of Mexico is definetely reflective of the time.
He love the Accordion.
