Sonic movie 2 blew everyone’s minds, Sonic prime looks badass, Sonic frontiers looks God tier and Sonic’s 30th anniversary looked pretty cool so over all 2022 has been pretty amazing for sonic
That's not Archie Sonic's run, it's the Super Peel out, which originates from Sonic CD. And yes I know Archie Sonic does it in some issues but it doesn't originate from them.
Some people might disagree,but to me this is and will forever be Sonic's best year,they will have a lot to live up to for the next anniversary We got Sonic Movie 2,which was really good and freaking NAILED every character (my man Knux was at his peak in the Movie) ,a new animated series that is gonna be dropped soon,almost everyone who played Frontiers so far is giving good feedbacks about it,and many more awesome stuff is coming in the future such as Knuckles' spinoff series and Movie 3 Haven't played Origins yet,but for being the... let's say,"weakest" of the bunch,at least it gave us some spectacular cutscenes by the GOAT Tyson Hesse! (I'm really sorry for HeadCannon though) I'm seriously looking forward to Frontiers,this looks like it will finally be Sonic's chance to make his grand return and I'm really happy
It feels so good to say Sonic has had an incredible year, going into that first sonic movie I had really soured on sega so much to the point I was actively hoping they'd lose the rights to this IP. Then it came out and it sparked my love for this franchise again, it left me hoping that maybe Sega would finally learn from their mistakes so I could enjoy the games again. That feeling got much stronger once I saw the second movie, and even though alot of other people were'nt sold on Frontiers at first, I actually was from the first gameplay we got I understood exactly what they were trying to do and only got more confident as the days winded down to the game's release. Frontiers is such an awesome return to form addressing several of their screw ups while setting up new directions to take the story with a brand new foundation that they NEED to follow up on.
This year has been amazing honestly, everything I ever wanted for Sonic, Origins alone already made my year by giving me the definitivamente way of playing Sonic 3 I always dreamed of, we got the lego set, the movie was pretty good, and altought Sonic prime is not out yet and I won't get Frontiers until Christmas, they both look pretty cool

Though this year wasn’t ALL I hoped for through the movies, games, and tv shows, as good as everything was, I feel like there’s a lot left on the table. That said, I’m super happy and more importantly, content with all we’ve gotten this year. I’ve been sour with the character for so long that it feels great to be able to smile at mr. Blue man go fast again. That’s a huge DUB in my book. I’m looking forward to the future for the hedgehog. The possibilities are endless

this year has been insane with sonic every few months there was something new, you could even say every week sonic had something with sonic speed sim (i know its not a real sonic game but like sega has a part in making that so it counts)

Well the Game division has to show what frontiers is able to do... Origins has to many issues in my opinion that i can find it likeable. It still feels like a cheaped out remake for me. (one thing in particular of more how can recorded audio from a genesis/mega drive on UA-cam sound better then the music in that game...)
