I have this same welder. I don’t understand why on auto set the 1/8” setting wire speed is 285 and 19.5 volts and the thicker 10 gauge goes down to wire speed 280 and 19 volts.
Thanks for the review on this! I'm in the market for a different machine, and am having a really hard time making a decision. This certainly helped. Are you still happy with it, now that you have some time on it? Thanks -Chris
Hey Chris, yes i am still loving the machine it has done serval jobs for me without any sort of issue! It certainly has paid itself off within these few weeks of purchasing it. I will be updating in a few months with more of an in-depth review after some usage. Thanks for watching!
I have always owned and used Lincoln products. About 6 year ago I bought a new MIG ,( my old one was over 15 years old, still in use ) , I had nothing but problems with this machine, contacted welding supplier that I bought from, no assistance , even talked to Lincoln at SEMA, still no luck, finally after fighting with it for a year, I gave it away, Bought a Miller. Will not own another Lincoln welder.
i really hate it hear that man, i have really been on the fence with both brands..miller or lincoln. Ive welded with both, i have both of their hoods, use both of their hobby machines. I have had issues with both. This welder has been an awesome unit so far in my shop, i have done serveral jobs with it & it hasnt skipped a beat. I guess we will see how it lasts over the next year.. I went out on a limp and bought this AlphaTig AHP unit... everyone had mixed opinions on it. I can say for a 200 amp ACDC tig machine its been worth the money. Its starting to look like Miller NOR Lincoln has a hold on the market anymore.
what was the problem you were having, it has a 3 year warranty. Its hard to believe that a reputable lincoln retailer would not take care of the problem.
Am a fun of miller and Lincoln but the challenge we have here in Zambia it's where to get the original product Zambian market as been spoiled by Chinese market and of quality
As I was told buy my dealer where I get my consumables , lincoln, miller, holbart are all made in China, ESAB is the only one made in the states, but they don't have what I want in a machine, so what do you do? @@nash6372
Well, that low-key makes me sad cause i am an everlast fan… was it an older unit? But my Lincoln is still working as good as the day it came out of the box. No complaints.
What is it mean when a welder Could weld up to 3/8 That's penetration capabilities. Meaning to weld, two plates of half inch together it will not get the job done? Thank you, I apologize.I'm a super beginner
@@Ben-sv9op it’s stating that when you have it on the setting for 3/8”, it can penetrate with one pass… but limits the duty cycle. Anything larger than 3/8” will require multiple passes to ensure good penetration of the weld. Preheating goes a long way with thicker material especially if you’re MIG welding it
I can’t lie, that’s a tough choice. I have really enjoyed my Lincoln… but i don’t have has many hours on it as i have put on a miller 211 (which was owned by my previous employer) We did all our production work with millers… they just kept going. Only had one board fail in 3 years
I loved the Miller 211, but they would not work with me on the price tag. Its almost $2200 bucks and this lincoln was around 1400 or so with my small discount. But yes, it almost welds the same.. TO me IMO
You have zero patience, you got the wrapping paper all binded up and when installing the leeds end your shoving and rotating the ends towards the left instead of the right.. i bet you break alot of shit... patience my friend learn it!!
Wait so i literally mentioned i am excited, but because i thought i could pull off the wrapping paper on the dinse plug & i thought it would “lock” or “click” into place when plugging in the male dinse shows i have zero patience? Literally ensuring my connection was good, shows i lack patience? My ranger 8 and my ahp both LOCK into the dinse. And… Actually, no.. i don’t break any of my stuff. It has lasted me because i take care & clean my tools, equipment, all these items that make/provide my income. I find it hilarious that this what you do when you watch peoples UA-cam videos LOL 😂
Thanks for showing this Lincoln in action! Ordered mine last week to replace a Tweco 3in1
Not a problem! Been a good machine so far for me
You got some nice welds.👍
Thanks man.
You lay some good looking welds. Great video, thanks.

Planning to pull the trigger on this lincoln to replace my everlast 211 that died 5x until its warranty expired. How is your lincoln doing this day?
Well, that low-key makes me sad cause i am an everlast fan… was it an older unit?
But my Lincoln is still working as good as the day it came out of the box. No complaints.
Will it weld the flux core .035 in 1/4”?
Yes it can weld flux core .035 on 1/4” I’m not 100% sure of its duty cycle at that setting though.

Can you adjust it for spray?
No sir, only does Flux, solid & can run a spool attachment
@@TheDogHousetv Solid wire can be short circuit, globular or spray. Can it only do short circuit?
@@TheTruth-yq2jb that’s what i mean only solid short circuit. No spray, no global, no pulse.
Do it weld aluminum
Yes if you purchase a spool gun for it

Weld for 12 months, & then say that! 😂🎉🤔
