A lot of people are saying that some add-ons should be base kit. But it would make WAY more sense to get a speed bost walking to the person that was trapped only.
That would be a pretty cool buff! I like that idea. I do think he’d still be an incredibly weak killer basekit though, but that buff does make a LOT of sense considering you hardly get value from a far away trap due to how fast they can escape and leave the area :/
I just dislike that a sharpened bear trap doesn't slow down their movement speed after. It should apply like hemorrhage and mangled if they hit a trap. Slower movement speed and a larger blood trail makes perfect sense for him. It wouldn't fix his "major" issues but he would feel more thematically in-line and the traps would have more "bite" (But I'm also the same person who thinks The Shape should come with an unlimited supply of scratched mirrors)
I appreciate this guide, I plan to watch a lot of your vids of trapper, just bought the Naughty Bear skin since it was a huge part of my childhood. So excited to finally be more of a killer main and learn the art of trapper
I came here from Puffalope's series and I would like to say thank you for the information! I always liked the idea of "Traps" over chasing (because again, I'm new) but everyone calls Trapper terrible. But he's one of the few I can easily get downs with. It helps out a lot with those "quests" for stones.
I personally think The Trapper is incredibly underrated. You showed Skermz how it’s done, and his babyish reaction to losing to a perkless Trapper proves that he can be a very strong Killer when used in the right hands. (Specifically QuietKills sweaty hands)

Trapper has always been a personal favorite of mine. I used to get 0-1/4 survivors average with him. And after this video I played a game and got 3/4 survivors. Last one got away right at the exit gate.
Personally I think the Trapper sack is the worst add-on for trapper and it kind of feels like it defeats the purpose of itself on just how goofy it is you're telling me I can have all my traps but I can't pick them up just sounds so dumb
You can play around that add on and trap up stuff that won't need to be picked up plus if it resets by itself or the one where they are injured off of freeing themselves or like trap windows and exit gates and def shack then again depends on the map and the ppl you queue in with yk the swf bully squad call outs and then depends on the build and your playstyle and then your mmr but agreed trappers sack needs a tweak 😂
@@calvonecrosby2336 The problem is, if you can’t pick traps up. - You can either pick the addon to reset traps every 30 seconds but they won’t go down. Or you want them to go down but they can disarm your trap and you need to manually reset them. - Manually reset doesn’t matter a lot in solo q. But in survive with friend they can disarm your trap and tell their friends. So whenever you do set the trap again they’ll wait until you leave then disarm. - This is why the purple addon is on of the worst addons that trapper has. Specifically in higher ranks, - in lower ranks the SWF won’t be good enough to have communication matter. You don’t even need to tunnel the survivors here. They’ll randomly walk into you or get grabbed despite not being undetected (no heart beat).

I don’t play trapper and by the time you got to the map division portion about the hooks, I was getting the trapper brain. I knew it had to be that deep field hook, that hook is like the equivalent of the basement back hook but on the surface. This guide helped me get the logic.
As many times as they disarm your traps i figured the one that leaves them injured would make them not wanna go for it cause thats a health state plus info for you and then they wont even know and pair that with either an iri or the purples and its claps theres no counter to what you cant touch nor see if you not looking down and if they not a swf and on a good trapper map they are getting ran through like a mr alan ifykyk on a brand new shoe release 😂

Bro you've got a PHD in this... You don't just play the game with Trapper. You know every aspect of it in depth.. That was a masterclass. Also i think Trapper is the only killer who can play with both iri add ons at the same time, and have a great build!
personally i think basekit he should start with all traps and his traps should have more lethality. if an injured survivor steps in a trap they should go into the dying state not just stay injured

Out of about 10 games I only had one 4 out and that was the only team who helped each other out of traps and blinded me to make me drop the person I’m hooking
i think the iri should be base kit (maybe at a slower pace), btw if ur runnin the trapper sack js trap windows since like qk said they are infinite use but not pallets, but i normally run the green addon for like i think 50% faster trap setting speed, i like how fast it is but i think its js me thinking i gotta save my epic and iri addons which doesnt make sense, i needa get outta that habit

Hmm...I feel like where we may differ is that I actually do more gen suffocation rather than just trapping loops. For shack if there is a generator in there I put 3 traps, dont let them touch it as they cant get in. In indoor maps they wont get to my gens without popping them. Its like a much larger trap.
I'm very good with this killer. But definitely could improve on how to play against people with good communication. I would really enjoy a game both where you win and when you lose with full commentary on what is going through your head, what mistakes you made. And just a full breakdown of what's going through your mind. Maybe even a custom match where you have the survivors POV. You and the entities left hand are my guide to becoming better. But I can't understand a word that he says lol.
Unbreakable is Not that Common, Even if we asume there is one unbreakable per Game, the odds of that guy having unbreakable is 1/4 while they die in 3/4 cases.

Without Brutal Strength, it’s not as easy to create deadzones with Trapper. Your top priority is to destroy pallets as quickly as possible! With Brutal, you can create deadzones faster, AND force survivors to play immediate tiles rather than be able to skip tiles, forcing them to play tiles with your traps on them (if they’re there)
Yes and no@@QuietKills id you want them to waste time on gens at the start you don't. Yes you lose those gens but they are distracted, but usually it's good to run it

What would you say shoukd be buffs. I asked red gear and said he shouldn't be buffed, that hes thematically good having to manually pick and set every trap.

Yeah it’s definitely not as strong as it’s made out to be (anymore), it was way more necessary before the Trapper buff, but not anymore!

The problem is, if you can’t pick traps up.

It’s not an absolute must, but if you want to beat a SWF with pro-level players on it.. it surely doesn’t hurt :)
