are there any plans on building this system out to include a URC style remote/IR Tv device for avr's and such? or similar to how Savant/Control4/Crestron have? would be very interested. I understand thats a big adjustment vs what this is doing but very curious about this system.

I noticed this video states a homekit hub is required for this integration to work... I am confused... I don't have a homekit hub and I've been using this, of course without the hub the devices are not availabe in homekit when I'm off my wifi network.

yes, you can connect your Hubitat to your Apple Home ecosystem directly. No need to add hoobs

you can upgrade to 2.3.4. Just don't install the HomeKit integration if you do not want to use it
