    I love your videos. My husband and I built an earthbag home in Arkansas. I bought boxes of drywall mud and just smeared it on with my hands. It's fun and your hand swirl marks are nice touch!

    It is always a joy to watch you'all ! I enjoy learning from you'all and watching you'all working together as a family ! And yet each of you have a separate interest/occupation that you work on and I think it is just a Blessing ! Sorry about the you'alls. LOL. I was born in Phoenix, AZ. Raised in the Newaygo, MI.area. BUT I have spent the better part of my life in AL and MS now so my expressions reflect that. I await your next video and May God Bless!

    I so admire you people! What a great, caring family who enjoys each other and working together to build your home. And nice attitude about each person's efforts and input being more important than "perfect corners." Thanks! Enjoying all your videos and good ideas. Hoping to build someday soon. great video guys it looks like the whole family is having fun. but my question is what kind of permits did you have to pull to build this room? or were you able to get away with not pulling permits due to the size of the structure? looking forward to the next video can't wait you guys stay safe and be warm. wait a minute you guys live where it's warm okay be cool. hahahaha

  • @88Dogster

    what about putting up a wooden frame and stamping the cob in it? Just an idea. You could also use a paddle to shove the cob on fast and stamping is also. Just think the process would be more smooth with a frame ;) What do you think?

  • @scstarr1469

      We live in an age where it can be whatever you want, if you just go for it. Technically, they were likely applying more of a plaster, than cob. But, who really cares. If it’s what you decide to do, and it’s works for you; then it’s probably fine. Probably. peace

    I'm trying to modify my hopper gun to shoot the cob on. No luck so far. Can you tell me what size air compressor you used and how exactly you mod'd the air gun? How much of the tube you cut off? Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since this is a one man build.
    Have watched your videos many, many times, at least once- some several times.
    Thanks again,
    Wulf

      Wulf- I'm curious because I'm only trying to dream right now as to how to make my own build happen. I'm a single mom with 3yr old. no support system or family to ask to help me with building the thing. So very curious about your experience... Could you share a bit of your build story? Unexpected challenges? Biggest regrets (if any)? Ways you'd do things different now that you know? You know... 🤷🏼😂 Thanks. Any info from real life experience is majorly appreciated.

    Are permits required in the state you live in for this type of construction?

    • @destinal_in_reality
      @destinal_in_reality 8 років тому +1

      +Tommy TwoGun Probably, but I think they live out in the country in a place without much enforcement. Unless neighbors complain or they try to sell the property, they're probably fine. IMO it's ridiculous in this day and age that most of us aren't free to just buy land and start building and that regulatory compliance can add tens of thousands of dollars of costs and months to years of delays.
