It would be awesome to just be there to watch Jesse work…the talent he has is on another level. Forget the fame, forget the name, just the thought process behind his craft.
After being in cnc lathe just over 30 years in Southern California for aero space that work would be a nice challenge for me. I appreciate your ethics and vision Jesse.
100% true . no matter what use metal behind ANY piece you are drilling next to a tire. i blasted thru a brand new rear tire on the 4th of july houors before the parade and our ride, im fabricaing up until the last minute, just built a L-bracket for my brake lights and im drilling thru my cut off fender strut......i drill one hole...perfect ...i start drilling next hole and three of my buddies roll up on their bikes, one starts walking up as im drilling and i look at him for a split second......and blow thru, straight into my tire...... thanks jesse james for the tip. just wish i would have used it before the new tire
AWESOME LOVE SEEING VIDEOS LIKE THIS A MASTER TEACHING ARE YOUTH A WONDER FUL CRAFT THANK YOU JESSE THIS SHOWS WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE PASS YOUR GIFTS ON.
This is my preferred way to make stuff, but you can't be competitive in price because people with plasma tables can make those flanges in about 3 minutes, click save, and have the pattern forever. And can just as quickly make 300 of them.
I just watched some other video where chopper styles were being compared and the narrator said that Jesse was the only builder that could totally nail a fender perfectly accurately.......
Toujours au niveau des moments où tu es en extase de voir une performance qui te fait penser que tu es là pour dire à tes enfants que tu as vécu un moment historique 😊
Jesse James is one of the best bike builders and car builders I've ever seen I've learned a lot from him when he had his shows I watched them religiously and got really jealous when he got cat is his old lady cuz I've always been in love with the cat But I have met Jesse James when he had his bike shop I know that he never will remember me but I'll never forget how he helped me when I was having a problem with my bike and just needed a couple tools to fix it and he fixed it for me he's only man that I've ever let work on any of my bikes or come near my bikes with a tool
Like, I like watching his work. But I like know several guys that I've worked with or are friends with that do this at home in small garages. And produce top quality work
Nice to see a comment section talking about Jesse’s skills… instead of his ex-wife 🤣🤣. I’ve ridden one of his El Diablo bikes and it was insane! All the detail was in the craftsmanship of course. 👍🏻
You did a great job at retooling yourself. you always know what you are, the core always remains. a lot of things can get added along the way, but eventually you find yourself stripping away those things that are not part of the core of your being. and you often know what those will be, even as they are added through the years. yet they can fall away with the greatest of ease, bringing you back to core values and experiences that you came here to have. You don't need to reinvent something that is already perfectly in place, you just have to expose it again.
All to end up with a 50K flat timing cover Shovelhead that ya gotta make your own parts for when it vibrates apart. That's how Jammer , custom chrome and 50 other " manufacture's" started and ended. They just weren't as expensive.
Growing up my neighbor and I would build all sorts of projects but my specialty was getting as much performance out of small engines, I could get a Briggs to run like a race motor and scream
You can pick up an electric swivel head shear at harbor freight for about 50 bucks. They'll only cut up to 14 ga mild steel, but I've had mine for 5 years. Bought them for one project, and they've continued on working. I've used them to cut a lot of 16 ga square tube into tracks and angles. The one in this video definitely looked higher quality. You can also get an adapter that works on a drill to accomplish the same thing. Check Amazon for dewalt shear attachment.
He's says he eliminated everything that was a distraction, like a babe wife, a TV show, a thousand customers that don't want anything to do with him because of his vanity and selfishness, now he can concentrate on what he wants to do, just like always.
Mr. James is a master at designing and making cars and bikes. But I have seen to many clips of him ranting about getting paid and how much his bikes get sold for. I watched a clip of him ranting at those guys in that speed shop when he bought into the shop. Only speaking for myself. I do not care how good he is I would give him the finger. I would rather ride a piece of shiit Honda then give him any of my money.
Jesse James the true American Craftsman. Unlike Paul Junior where he is assembling bikes and slapping a bunch of shit on and calling it a "motorcycle". Keep it up Jesse!
I have not seen Jessie since he started making really bad decisions. I have respect for his talent. He is an artist. But he makes some horrible decisions that makes you hate him.
Yes, he leaves a trail of destruction where ever he goes. He is not welcomed back in Long Beach. I’ll giving him credit for introducing metal fabricating and custom motorcycles to cable tv.
Hand fabrication is a dying art form. If you want to be a starving artist, this is the way to go. I wish America could produce bikes for the masses and get more people on the road.
I am so jealous of these kids its not even funny. Old school is better in so many ways, but I still like new school for power and bla bla bla. I watched this video a long time ago, it was like a four part series i think. Glad to watch it again.
Master fabricator my ass. You had a reality show with the same gas tank/frame/and a fat tire like everyone else. Let's see ya change out an engine in someones driveway? You did tag Sandra Bullock,........I give ya that.
Go to a swap meet,.......find an old fender,.......and give the dude his bike. Master fabricator,..........more like master shop time charged fuck'n around. Capitalism is a wonderful thing. Ceskoslovenska.
Started working in fab shops 50 years ago, love the smell, the process and the art...nice to see young people learning the trade. Good job Jessie!
Any advice for late starters?
@@lospaisasoriginal5454 Learn everything you can and open your mind to the possibilities of working with metal. And keep a lot of band aids nearby :)

Nice to see a non hype view of Jesse James. The man is a hell of a builder.
Jesse is a true craftsman. It’s nice to see him passing on his skills to people that want to learn.
All these years later and Jessie is still my favorite fab artist. Glad to see him still at it.
It would be awesome to just be there to watch Jesse work…the talent he has is on another level. Forget the fame, forget the name, just the thought process behind his craft.
Great as always.

Priceless Knowledge , Work and Life Ethics .
After being in cnc lathe just over 30 years in Southern California for aero space that work would be a nice challenge for me.
I appreciate your ethics and vision Jesse.
I would give anything just to work side by side with this guy for a week or so.
I have nothing but respect for him and his knowledge.
Great man , keep on keeping on JESSE !
The craftsmanship speaks it loud on its own.
I envy Magic. The opportunity to learn "at the knee" of a master fabricator would have saved me years and my work would be even better!
Jesse is a brilliant artist. 👍

My name is also Jesse James. I’ve had to listen to people talk about this dude to me almost all my life.
This is my preferred way to make stuff, but you can't be competitive in price because people with plasma tables can make those flanges in about 3 minutes, click save, and have the pattern forever. And can just as quickly make 300 of them.
I truly believe you're a genius in anything you put your mind to nothing but best wishes for you

How do I get into this… 2 years later
By no means am I a fabricator.. But I made a few things for bikes in my day.. Jesse James makes bikes you can ride. That's where he's different..
Like, I like watching his work. But I like know several guys that I've worked with or are friends with that do this at home in small garages. And produce top quality work

That boy is paying attention, as he should. I’d have a pencil and a notepad out goin’ off.

What's the tool called that you cut the fender in half?
It's an electric nibbler or shear.
You can pick up an electric swivel head shear at harbor freight for about 50 bucks. They'll only cut up to 14 ga mild steel, but I've had mine for 5 years. I have not seen Jessie since he started making really bad decisions. I have respect for his talent. He is an artist. But he makes some horrible decisions that makes you hate him.

Why would you hate him? Curious
Hand fabrication is a dying art form. If you want to be a starving artist, this is the way to go. I wish America could produce bikes for the masses and get more people on the road.
Did he give himself the title of master fabricator his bikes look ugly and dangerous
you don't like him yet watch his videos lol
I agree! I can't imagine riding one of his bikes on a 1k miles trip. 😂
Totally cool
Was hoping this was some new stuff and not just a mash up of old videos
I am so jealous of these kids its not even funny. Old school is better in so many ways, but I still like new school for power and bla bla bla.
