Amazing! I had a Shogun Warrior Great Mazinger back in the day and loved it but it was not until seeing these commercials did I realized how nerfed it was when compared to the Japanese release which had all those accessories complete with the hanger bay styled box. It looked like it could have been a rival to the GI Joe Defiant play set. Thanks for the commercials.
Mattel scaled these all back quite a bit for the US production. Talked about that some in a clinic type video I did comparing all the Mazinger variations.
Those Japanese commercials show real imagination.
It's interesting to see the contrast between the American and Japanese commercials for the same line of figures.
Having grown up on 3 3/4 " action figures, I have difficulty seeing the appeal of these older toys, unless you could open compartments in them to stick smaller figures inside. :)
Actually, the fists are hollow, and a 3.75 figure will fit inside of them. I had the Mazinga when I was a kid, with the brainship removed, a figure that size could sit in his head.

I am trying to get a small collection of Jumbo Machinders of the robots I watch on the Force Five Cartoon show. So far I have the European version of Grendizer as he was released in Europe. The Japanese version is too expensive. Dangaurd Ace sells for astronomical money so getting a 2 foot tall 3D printed version of him. Gaiking and Getter Dragon should be easier to get.
These are fascinating toys!
