Sweet free Frogger DL: bit.ly/freefroggerdl Soon I'll have videos with this! Scrabble Game Show with Chuck Woolery in 1984. Peter Catella wins 10th round for $55K.
zach, it is the original run, pulled right from the VHS the show gave to my dad :) isn't it awesome! i put some of the clips on as a bday present for him. :)
Laura, do you have your dad’s Tournament of Champions playing? I have some of the TOC shows from that February and Lea Hall states she was afraid he’d beat her in Sprint
It's a dual rights issue here, fremantlemedia owns the rights to the game show version with chuck including all pilot episodes that were made. But, hasbro also owns half of everything with the game show. Since they took over the rights to the board game version from selchow & righter / coleco when coleco's assets went belly up in 89.
this is kinda silly, but i'm currently doing a list of words AND clues that were used on this show, so would you happen to have all the episodes that he appeared on? (ii'm doing this as a project for my program's monthly newsletter.) (i was thinking of doing a section of "timewasters" and the clues were gonna be a part of it.)
He was tied with ANnie McCormick and Mark Dalberman(sp?) as the biggest winners on the show at this point. The show was less than six months old at this point.
Around the beginning of 1985 they changed it so that five time champions had their total increased to $20K and ten time champions had their total increased to $40K, rather than adding $20K to their total.
one of the greatest game shows of all time
i really miss this show with this music :(
@estestim It's a small monitor located directly below the nine monitors which display the current Sprint word (it's covered by the clock on-screen).

Remains to be seen why GSN or Buzzr hasn't aired this yet.

Did your dad ever start that business, or did he put some of it away for you?
Is this from the original run or USA's Fall 1992 rerun of it. Looks to be the original run as USA had onscreen bugs by 1992.
Peter Catella was on the 5/18/1992 episode of Wheel of Fortune(syndicated) and won $6000 but did not win the game.

Zach Horan Mark Dauberman was the name of the retired champion you mentioned.
