Growing up in Bangalore, I had the privilege of being exposed to the diverse cultures of South India, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka . Amongst all the celebrations, Onam held a special place in my heart. I vividly remember my mother adorning a white and gold saree during one of the nine days of Onam. The sight of her in that traditional attire left an indelible mark on my memory.
To this day, whenever I wear a white and gold saree, I am overwhelmed with nostalgia. It transports me back to those beautiful, cherished moments of the past. I feel a deep connection to my roots and the vibrant festivities that brought people from different backgrounds together.
I recall how my mother would join the company of other women, whether they hailed from Bangalore, Tamil Nadu, or Kerala, all of them wearing the white and gold saree. In those moments, my mother seamlessly blended into their culture, becoming one with them. It is truly remarkable how a single outfit can bridge the gap between different societies and make one feel like a part of something greater.
As I wear the white and gold saree today, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude. It serves as a reminder of the beautiful memories and experiences I had growing up amidst the rich tapestry of South Indian cultures.

Ayyo , mundu border kasavu comes on the right..anyways creativity has no limits❤... im going for a wedding and wearing a silver kasavu set mundu...If i wear it this way every Malayali that i see today will add this correction😅...its fun experimenting though.. 😊
Just wearing it esthetically. Doesnt go on tradition . She id celebrity artist. And we malayalis are in 10,000 cctv surveillance and 20,0000 rules to following us even in a piece of cloth. Whether it's saree or anything. Anyway you said right and she will surely read it.

Yes, its traditional drape of Kerala. Mundu if worn on the left side in Guruvayur temple you wont be allowed inside. I dont know much about it but I have heard it from senior people that set Mundu is never worn on the left.
But I appreciate the fact that mam being a non mallu she draped set Mundu.

This is not the right way to wear Kerala set mund, set border should come on right side.
Ma'am can you drape a kerala saree. I always dont get that left side hip portion swirl and it doesn't get a shape and bulk up. Unable to wear it in a tapered shape. How to wear it and left portion get that swirl to the "jhoruv"
