I always wonder if Chase uses him name on Elden Ring. I can't imagine the fear and hesitation that would kick in when you see he's invading lmao

Not as the character name. I recall seeing the name Ciri back when he was doing group PvP in Colliseum, he also mentioned anime characters.
Steel just made a video recently and someone he invaded named themselves chasethebro, dude got wrecked immediately and some people in the comments thought it was him and said stuff like "that's how people get exposed boys n girls".. they actually thought it was chase and relished in that even though other people that actually watch chase's vids were saying he doesn't name his characters after his channel and he does not panic roll.
Just a funny anecdote, people coping hard with their lack of skills vs chase's actual skills they know they can't contend with 😂
I still can't believe people are really out there at RL200+ with 30 vigor...
My very first playthrough was me going through the game on 10VIG to challenge myself. I was a non factor if I coop'ed with friends and we got invaded but it was a really really fun playthrough, ending at around RL200 😅

A little fun thing about the dragon lightning spear spells is that they actually are projectiles, you just throw them straight down. If you're standing on a ledge and angle it right you can throw them down to hit things below you. I cheesed the rotten erdtree spirit in the haligtree that way.
You should bring back the “Dexy Witch” for Halloween since dex is in the state it’s in. Rogiers hat with crucible night armor looks the closest I’ve found to it.

The Giantsflame at around 2:40 didn't do 2,5k damage. The phantom already had 1,2k damage on the counter prior, so it did 1,3k, which by all means, is still impressive and would likely do more if the phantom had more hp.

You can always expect shenanigans when Chase's fp bar is that big 😂
Scary how much damage honed bolt is capable of with such a high cast speed and range. Very fun punish for passive players
Was looking forward to the 200 lightning build. My absolute favourite of the incantations, 1 shotting 3 people at 1 once with Death lightning is so satisfying.
80 faith with 40 dex is super satisfying. Lvl 200 is the comfort level.
It really does just feel so good. Back when Elden Ring launched I was in the 125 or bust club, how far we’ve come.
i recently did a new faith/dex character and man it is not very good at early levels. definitely feels like a 200 kind of spec since you need to spec into two damage stats. once you have that kind of faith/dex with gravel stone the lightning is pretty insane

I love the only seals aesthetic so much. Chase's characters really pull it off well. Also I forgot to leave a comment last video telling you how much I loved the invasions with the Urumi, it absolutely made my day. Great job as always Chase, I'm just loving the invasions.

Slip 5 points into INT and Chuck on the Goldmask so you can have Discus of Light. It’s cheap and has phenomenal range.
It’s probably the most efficient offensive incant in the game. My last build was a Radagon-themed character and I was stunned at how good discus of light is compared to dks3.

Poor guys were having a good tome killing pve stuff as friends group. Second invasion was even worse, guy didn't even fight back, just walked around and dodged a bit.
Was really cool to see the Death Lightning get a kill! Would be even MORE cool though to see an entire build built around Deathblight though... a very uncommon idea that I think could be very strong in the right hands!

Before endure was nerfed, it made death lightning terrifying. Everyone I hit (which still didn't happen often) got one shot or had about 10hp.

As a main faith I'm happy to see lightning bolt overpower strength recognized

Endure death lightning is a good idea. I’ve always just had to aggro them then perfectly time it

First Chase has me trying strength builds now I want to play faith next. What is next?
Honed bolt takes longer then lighting spear to cast but can be cast more quickly in succession, lightning spear can combo after standard attacks and other quick cast spells, and hits harder then honed bolt, but can't be cast as quick in succession and has a predictable projectile.
You can use lightning spear after a standard R1 or rock sling to really catch people off guard, I even use it after the first part of flame Strike and because catches the panic roll made for the second strike, making it more of a combo attack then straight ranged pressure, like honed bolt does.
Love how this "200 Faith build" video turned into "Honed Bolt goes Brrrrr" lol
It also goes well into Ancient Dragon's Lightning Strike since the animation is so similar it throws people off.

Pyro's in ER are incredible, but man I wish Lightning was more like DS3. Sunlight Spear and Lightning Stake just feel SO much better than the stuff in ER.

Hi Chase, seeing all your recent caster builds I was wondering if you could maybe do a Gideon Ofnir cosplay build? I made a whole playthrough so I could have a character with access to all spells, ended up with 70Int/50Fth/20Arc and a pretty fun build overall, though you could probably optimize it a bit better than I did.

This build would do really well with any dex faith weapons as well, looks very versatile
I'd recommend high level bleed builds because you have so many stats to split between strength, dexterity, and arcane, giving you both high damage and high bleed.
Honed bolt invasions are so much better than I expected XD
I have a faith build at level 137 and it’s basically this but I use the Noble Slender Sword so not a pure caster but use lightning slash to infuse my weapon and it does tons of damage
My favorite invasion was when i appeared in front of three guys, immediately drank flask to get poise and ToD 2.0, they're run into me and i charged Death Lightning. x3 one-shot!

Thr fireball didn't do 2500 damage, the damage number still carried the about 1100 damage over time that the player has been taking when they got hit.
I'd take Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike over Death Lightning any day. I think the cast time is the same, but there's way more bolts and it covers a larger area. One shots as well if they get in close and get hit with more than one of the bolts.

At those stats you will get more damage casting with Erdtree Seal and having the others in the offhand. The scaling at 80 faith and minimal strength on Erdtree will outdamage the % from the Gravel and Giant seals. Then again these idiots are at lvl 200 is around 40 vigor.....

Sometimes I really wonder where people put their stats... 700hp at lvl 200!? I question peoples builds if they dont have 1750 to 1900 at lvl 100.
Also kinda wonder why so many seem to be obsessed with Rancorcall(or whatever its called, greater one) and Elden Stars. Those spells are not that great. Rancorcall does alot of "stagger" dmg, I think... but thats about it.
Totally agreed about HP as with the right builds and Elden Ring's damage in general is so high which makes vigor 60 mandatory.
As for the spells you are right they don't do much damage. What they excel at is making space, forcing the enemy to disengage and run. They are very situational like a tool box. You could certainly go without them but they are nice to have to add pressure. But it's also frawned upon in pvp.

7:09 That's a legit cosplay, he got the colossal sword, the katana and (probably) 2 other swords too, and his spell is black/red lighting which kinda matches with Asta's antimagic visual effects. His colossal also has a thematic ash of war, and the katana choice is probably to mimic Yami's dimensional slash move. Otherwise won't make much sense to use an int scaling katana with a faith build.

Right at the start - more water on my mills. I HATE the hitscan incants and AoW (fallen star beast jaw). Once got chain-hit by a damn Leyndell night after first-trying the goddamn gargoyle, dying in mere seconds. Now IMAGINE: That kinda imbalanced might in the hands of a competent player like Chase. +Shudder+ I´d rather fight an army of Moonveils...
