    Hey, where did you buy your inner and outer tie rods from? currently trying to replace mine aswell and looking for suggestions. much appreciatedj

      I got them locally... they are golf mk1 tie rods, just bring your old ones to compare them as there may me few different versions.

    What kind of grease did you use for the rebuild of the rack?

      I think it came with the boots.

      @@RestorationApprentice Thanks, I see that while removing the pinion, you also remove the needle bearing. Mine needle bearing didnt survive the removal, did you replace or reused yours?
      I see that you sandblasted the connection on the steerhousing with the drive shaft, did you treat it with some rust protection?

      I honestly don't remember... these restored parts are packed and stored for when I get to putting it all back together.

      Thank you! I'm not sure... as far as I know apart from tie rods, later cars such as mine use golfs control arms.
