Kenny Rankin is perhaps the most overlooked genius in music history. His guitar playing, singing and writing and arranging are so good that we tend to overlook them.
One of those songs back then that spoke of an "Age of Aquarius" like dawning of peace and brotherhood we were about to enter. It's sad that 50 years later we are no closer to that dream.
All of his work is simply flawless. Don't miss his live jazz show on UA-cam that was recorded not too long before he passed. I was really upset when I heard that he was gone. Just way, WAY too damn soon.

Song brings back great memories of a earlier time of life when things were easy.
This song and album helped get me through a lonely time in college many years ago. Thanks Kenny.
Great singer and writer. Overlooked Genius!!
My father saw Kenny when he opened for George Carlin. Portland, Oregon circa: 1972. This was Sunday morning music in our house.
I heard him play in Austin...
All of a sudden, I’m 17 again, and I’m smiling…
Me too!
