Brant, The family and I were just in Gulf Shores the first week of August for family vacation. I visited the store and was very impressed. Great selection of live bait and tackle. The employees were fantastic and answered all my questions. Glad to see a quality place for supplies in the area. Thanks again and keep posting!! Love the content.
Great video Brant! Always enjoy when you & Brad go out together and he brought a net. Lol. Then 2 minutes in, he was gone. Definitely grew up fishing those bobbers for flounder, sole, rainbows and mostly smelts and mackerel. Love homemade tarter sauce. Makes all the difference in eating fish. Thanks for sharing!!!
Love watching your channel as you fish from shore! My gf and I vacation there often! We are from Texas! Btw, my pool guy just snapped my Bummy Stick in half….I’m furious! I’ll be seeing you guys soon!
I’ve used the old school plastic bobber. It’s been probably 45 years ago! I loved to watch it bob and start to move! Time to set the hook! Your store looks awesome Brant!👍
Great video Brant looks like the backyards coming along really well that rod and reel combo looks awesome may not have a meets the cast from but acid really nice big reservoirs and lakes around here
Learned to fish with those big white and red bobbers. Still keep a couple in my tackle but rarely use them now. Different fish, vastly different locations these days. Might have to get one out again after watching you. 😊
Caught good fish on the seawall. The wife and I were down there last Saturday. Bite got slow so we moved to Ft Morgan Pier and caught a mess of Mangroves.
Hi Brant, I am new to saltwater fishing. I wanted to see if you have already or would make a video on explaining the different combo set ups you use in your videos? I thinking would be a great and informative video. For example the difference in the combos you use fishing from the surf, a boat, the piers or a jetty/inlet. Maybe explain what reel sizes and the sizes of braid/fluoro lines you use with the different set ups? I will be coming to ALA/FLA in OCT or NOV and am planning on stopping by your store. Thanks for all the great content!
Brand new subscriber , definitely enjoying the channel. Definitely like the educational content. Some of if may not interest me but but watch anyway I might decide hey that looks cool I am going to try it. I am in fresh water territory but good lord willing I am headed south soon. Keep the videos coming
We call them minnows Cocahoe minnows in Louisiana and when I was guiding, in lower Lafourche, Terrebonne and Jefferson Parishes, I caught a large part of my redfish with these minnows, sometimes Speckled Trout too!
Go for it I'm HAPPILY DIVORCED 2 TIMES WITH ONE OVER 18 CHILD . BOTH DIVORCES REALLY DIDN'T COST ME MUCH I mean I decided to quit working 6 months before the first divorce and since I was living in my van down by the river wasn't much more they could take so I really showed them
Nice Mackerel. I've only caught 1 Mackerel this summer. Had a great day today but my buddy lost 1 Mackerel. Caught, an inshore Slam, ie; Snook, Red, Trout. I don't really know if that was a slam but hey. We caught bunches of Trout,, Snook, Redfish. 1 catfish, lost a Mackerel.... and HOT HOT HOT. was out 7+ hours on the kayaks today. Whew.
Hi I'm from Cape town south Africa and I'm crazy 🤪 about 🐟 ing I love your channel But I sit with one problem I know that I will not be able to get some fishing tackle from you The reason is I'm not working and I would like to fish to feed my family 😢 Thank you for a great program keep up the good work
Question… do u have to reel so fast when using your spoon? Is it like real heavy so u have to or what? Just trying pick up some tips I just got back into fishing a lot more now
You ever think of switching to bass? You crank faster and faster every video. That poor mq....... On another note I finally will be visiting the store in about a month.🎉
Hey Brant, do you use a split ring, a swivel, both or neither on the ES Casting Spoons? I ordered 100 bucks worth of them from y’all’s store a few months ago and just want to fish them as efficiently as possible. Thanks!
That backyard is looking awesome dude. Would still like to see a lil pond though 😜. I tried to ask Brad on his last jigging video, any chance you got an entry level slow pitch jig setup to recommend?
I noticed you loosening your main drag when fishing bait. Have you ever messed with any of the reels that have the "live-liner" or "bait-runner" features? I bought a shimano baitrunner oc back in the winter but haven't really had opportunity to put it through it's paces. I bought it for free-lining shrimp and other bait sort of how you were fishing the bull minnows.
BBO staff were extremely nice when I was down a couple weeks ago! Shame on Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for their pay to park under the bridge and at West beach. Greed taking over
Thanks for the info about free veteran parking under the bridge! I was mostly referring to general restriction of free public access in GS and OB. It has dwindled dramatically over the years.
You absolutely can. The only issue is the lifespan will be shorter. Even if you take good care of it sand and salt will do a number on the cheaper combos. I will try and come up with some.
Link to my combo beachbumoutdoors.com/products/saltist-mq-5000-h-bummy-stick-combo?
Out of my price range, but still seems like a great combo!👍
click bait bull shit. stay home ya hack!
Awesome video. My 7 year old loves watching these with me!! Thanks for keeping them clean!!
12:28 that's a smooth transition Brant getting fancy with his cinematography!!!! I like it
I notice that Brant always pays for what he gets at the store. Gotta love and admire having friends/ business partners like that

Going to be moving to the Spanish Fort area soon. Will definitely be dropping by the Beach Bum Outdoors shop to tell a tale or two. Great video.
Thank you

Looks like Brad took his net and went home another great vid
I'm in south Louisiana. So hot I'm catching boiled fish. I fished with Brad 2 Junes ago on a charter with my cousins out of PCola. Fun was had by all.
You're living the dream buddy! Great video, thanks for sharing.
Love the outdoor cooking area. Great video
Appreciate it
I love this combo you put together. Just have to ask the boss first. I already have a lot of gear 😅
Great video Brant looks like the backyards coming along really well that rod and reel combo looks awesome may not have a meets the cast from but acid really nice big reservoirs and lakes around here
Awesome! Thanks for sharing the combo
I grew up Trout fishing at night, for me it’s the only way to go if you are fishing for numbers. We get so many more compared to the day!
Love those red n white bobbers under a lil live baits !
That store is a beautiful place....❤️
Great video as always Brant! Watching from Phoenix Arizona.👍
You should make these types of videos at the beginning of summer when a lot of people come to the area.
brant another damn cool vid, good info an be commin over to the o b store ..you guys gotit goin..stay safe..
Appreciate it
That bobber brings on some nostalgia. Used to use them all the time on my uncle's canal for catching snapper (baby bluefish)!
Awesome video, thanks for all the great content!
The goat t makes you look like a fisherman hope your wife likes it needs to be a little longer. Lol. Great show. Thanks

love it ..its like just plug and play...we dont have stores like that in norway...and kind of boring when it may take many hours too chats a fish
We call them minnows Cocahoe minnows in Louisiana and when I was guiding, in lower Lafourche, Terrebonne and Jefferson Parishes, I caught a large part of my redfish with these minnows, sometimes Speckled Trout too!
Aloha. Used to use those bobbers when I was kid in Ohio for panfish.
Great video brother enjoyed watching!!
That combo looks 🔥 I’m gonna need a divorce lawyer if I spend more money on tackle
As long as your partner doesn’t fish and you get the tackle (and the dog).
It's worth it in the long run
Go for it I'm HAPPILY DIVORCED 2 TIMES WITH ONE OVER 18 CHILD .
BOTH DIVORCES REALLY DIDN'T COST ME MUCH I mean I decided to quit working 6 months before the first divorce and since I was living in my van down by the river wasn't much more they could take so I really showed them
Are u soliciting a divorce attorney? If you love fishing , please let me know 😅
In Texas we call those mud minnows trout and redfish candy nice video!
Yes all the time
Great video, very informative!
Some day I want to get the whole store on this BeachBum store deal.
It’s not that complicated. We put a team in place and opened a store. Plan on opening a bunch more in the future.
The people like the cooking sessions!
Thumbs up for the net!
Nice store!!! I see it is right next to that Red Roof Inn so I know exactly where it is located!!! 👍
it's great to see you. have a good day
hell has frozen over brad brought a net
Showing my age…. I am all too familiar with those bobbers. Lolol. Still have a few in my tackle bag. 😂
Awesome rig but way out of my league!. I'm a retired guy. Keep them good videos coming tho, I thoroughly enjoy them.
Appreciate it

hilarious... "We got a net..." ...it's about time you gave the net a higher priority...lololol
I used those old school bobbers back when they were new school.😂
I used a bobber like that as a kid fishing in canals in Florida with cane poles 😅
Great video. That combo looks nice, but a little out of my price range. Keep up the good content!
Yeah, 50 years ago I loved it when the bobber went under the water.
Great job, you should try eating saltwater catfish just watch out for the barbs
love to see ya do a collab with Bama Saltwater
Lake Panasoffkee rocks. Still.
Don't know if you are interested or not but avalon bait and tackle is up for sale. Another local bait store told me about it this morning.
Net? Y'all crabbin again? LOL!
You got me ready to come visit bama
Hi I'm from Cape town south Africa and I'm crazy 🤪 about 🐟 ing
I love your channel
But I sit with one problem
I know that I will not be able to get some fishing tackle from you
The reason is I'm not working and I would like to fish to feed my family 😢

Used a bopper over the weekend at Smith mountain lake
OMG you guys brought a net LOL that is a 1st
Great Viewing!
That area, to this day, has been the only place I've ever caught a silver seatrout.
Hey Brant, do you use a split ring, a swivel, both or neither on the ES Casting Spoons? I ordered 100 bucks worth of them from y’all’s store a few months ago and just want to fish them as efficiently as possible. Thanks!

Only bobbers ive ever used!
Hey brant, what kind of fish tackle bag do you use when your out.
😭Awesome man
Mud minnows
😂 great video as always and sorry about that damn bad word
Sold out
It was a rock grouper
I noticed you loosening your main drag when fishing bait. Have you ever messed with any of the reels that have the "live-liner" or "bait-runner" features? Is the twenty pound braided line good for all types of fish.
A lot of fish can be caught with 20#
I am on a LEO income and a family of 4. What equivalent would you recommend that may be a little more affordable?
what is a long kast in yards for you
Try saltwater catfish just watch out for the barbs
Are the ninja daggers one piece or 2 piece rods? Do they come in each version?
I remember you guys using a net when you went crabbing some months ago. Does that count?
Do you ever fish near Venice, Fl would love to see a video of how you would catch fish from the surf or jetty
I’ve never fished there
l like it
I love eating sand perch, you just need a few to make a meal.
What is the Little Bait fish called with the Stripes on it , that Some Tackle Shop Sell as Bull Minnows 😂
😂😂 I caught it in Hong Kong
BBO staff were extremely nice when I was down a couple weeks ago! Shame on Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for their pay to park under the bridge and at West beach. Greed taking over
Great to hear
That’s Gulf Shores State Park parking, not city of GS or OB. If you’re a veteran you can get a free parking sticker from the main office.
Thanks for the info about free veteran parking under the bridge! I was mostly referring to general restriction of free public access in GS and OB. It has dwindled dramatically over the years.
I see bama saltwater fish fish the sea wall all the time
NO! You tossed out dinner and caught bigger dinner.
It’s all fun and games until you hook a black drum or bull red on a Zebco 33😂
I've never seen someone fish a spoon by fast reeling, it's usually fished like a jig.
Not when you’re targeting fast fish like Bonito and Spanish. If I were jigging for reds or other species I would slow it down a lot
I was trying to catch a dinner and I got a grouper on the pier
can you but together a quality 200$ combo? 550 is just to steep.
You absolutely can. The only issue is the lifespan will be shorter. Even if you take good care of it sand and salt will do a number on the cheaper combos. I will try and come up with some.
Do you get to take stuff for free ?
Mud minnow?
Was that a Speckled Trout at :26 ?
Yes
I thought those are the current bobbers
Just looked. Combo sold out. I lose once again....😢
